Back to the 1930s, Gunsan Retro Travel🤎
#FamilyTravel
It may be far from my friends' tastes these days, but for us history nerds, this Gunsan retro travel course was so much fun!
1️⃣2️⃣ Gyeongam-dong Railroad Village
A 1940s nostalgic street created on the railroad that used to connect an old paper factory and Gunsan Station.
There are plenty of nostalgic items to reminisce about those days, such as school uniform rentals and retro shops!
✔️Free admission, use the nearby E-Mart and Daiso parking lots
3️⃣Chowon Photo Studio
A photo studio famous for being the filming location for August's Christmas, which opened in 1998.
It is currently used as a memorial hall for Time Travel Village.
✔️Free admission, use the nearby public parking lot or Gunsan Modern History Museum parking lot
4️⃣Binhaewon
The oldest Chinese restaurant in Gunsan and also designated as Registered Cultural Property No. 723! Here, Jjamppong, Jjajangmyeon, and Tangsuyuk were all so delicious!!
✔️There is a dedicated parking lot! There is usually a wait at most times.
5️⃣Old Gunsan Customs
This is a place that contains the history of Gunsan Customs.
It is not large in size, but it is fun to look around the exterior of the customs, the confiscated items displayed in the customs, and the history of the customs.
✔️Free admission, use the parking lot of Gunsan Modern History Museum.

This is a history museum that records the appearance of Gunsan in the past.
You can learn about the history of Gunsan and have various experiences in the history museum that recreates the old appearance.

7️⃣Gunsan Modern Art Museum
The bank building used during the Japanese colonial period is currently used as a modern art museum. You can see various art exhibitions, and there is a history museum that recreates Ahn Jung-geun's time in prison in Japan, so you can once again deeply remember the atrocities committed by the Japanese.

8️⃣ Gunsan Modern Architecture Museum
Using the old Chosun Bank building, you can see Gunsan's modern architecture in miniature, so you can see the changes in Gunsan at a glance.
There are also exhibitions related to the independence movement and the history of the bank, so you can study the flow of Gunsan's history.
✔️ Admission fee O, integrated ticket available, use the Modern History Museum parking lot
9️⃣ Mizu Coffee
This is a place that reborn as a cafe from a company building from the modernization period.
It is a cafe that matches well with Gunsan Time Travel Village because it still has the feel of an old Japanese-style house.
🔟Top: Okdol Super Restaurant / Bottom: Munyeo 2-gu Village Bus
It's a bit far from Gunsan's downtown area, but if you have time, it's a great travel destination to visit together when you travel to Gunsan!
Detailed information is on the feed🩵
No. 3 to 9 are tourist attractions grouped together as Gunsan Time Travel Village, so it's good to visit them all at once, but in addition to the tourist attractions I introduced, there are many modernization spots, and there are many galleries, prop shops, independent bookstores, and pretty cafes in every corner of the neighborhood, so it's good to take a day to look around.
In the case of Gunsan museums, the admission fee is already cheap, but you can use it even cheaper if you use the integrated ticket!
Gunsan has a port, so it was one of the areas where exploitation was severe during the Japanese colonial period, and it is also significant as a historical site of the independence movement, so there were many related museum exhibits.
It was a more meaningful trip to Gunsan because it allowed us to think again about the freedom we enjoy now and the sacrifices of our ancestors.
