The building is big and there are four floors, namely 1, 2, 4 & 8 that all have displays.
The First floor is dedicated to introduce the different minorities/nationalities found in Guizhou.
The Second floor is dedicated to information about farming, entertainment, and different kinds of historical architecture in Guizhou including the famous FengYuQiao.
The Fourth floor is dedicated to the red army and the other section to silverware worn by the Miao people of Guizhou.
Last but not least, the Eighth floor is dedicated to the heroes of Guizhou, the people who brought about changes to the province in terms of innovation and development. A trip to the museum is a step in the right direction towards attaining a good lesson in Guizhou history and culture.
There are buses available that will drop you off close to the museum.
For souvenirs, on the first floor there is a very colorful room that has lots of items on display. Very affordable.

Guizhou Intangible Cultural Heritage - Silverware Craftsmanship
Silverware craftsmanship is one of Guizhou's national intangible cultural heritages. Many ethnic minorities in Guizhou have the custom of wearing silver ornaments. They believe that silver ornaments can bring good luck and happiness, and are also a symbol of beauty and wealth. Over thousands of years, exquisite silver craftsmanship has been formed among the people. There are many types of silver ornaments, including hairpins, silver hats, silver crowns, silver horns, silver hairpins, silver combs, silver chains, ear studs, earrings, necklaces, collar pins, belts, shawls, bracelets and various clothing pieces, silver bells, silver clothes, etc., creating a wonderful and beautiful silver flower culture.

The Nuo Opera Exhibition at the Ethnic Museum is a bit disappointing.
I saw a new exhibition in July, which was guided by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and co-sponsored by the Guizhou Academy of Cultural and Art (Guizhou Drama Creation Center) and the Guizhou National Cultural Palace (Guizhou National Museum). "Colorful Guizhou·Mysterious Face-Guizhou Drama Mask Art Exhibition".
Before I went, I was actually full of expectations, hoping to see some of the full picture of Guizhou Nuo Opera, but I found it was not as good as the permanent exhibition.
A few shortcomings
1. Too small. There are probably 3 small exhibition halls on the first floor of the Guizhou Museum, but the Nuo Opera Exhibition only occupies one of them. It is conceivable that the area is not large and you can see the end at a glance.
2. Because it is small, the content is less. A showroom exhibited some masks of Nuo Opera and Di Opera, but it was sparse.
3. The depth is not enough, it is just a simple display. Except for the introduction of the characters by Cuo Taiji, most of the rest are not related. What is the difference between Nuo Opera and Di Opera, what is the development history, what is the plot of each drama, there is no explanation. After watching it, it is too weak to take pictures.
suggestion
1. The development history of Nuo Opera, the development history of Di Opera, and the plot introduction of classic dramas can be sorted out.
2. Some programs can select clips for video or audio display, which can more intuitively feel the core of the drama. After all, the drama is different from painting. There should be more stage displays, lighting, sound effects, etc. Only displaying masks is really too single.
3. The story behind the drama, such as the views of the inheritors of Nuo Opera on Nuo Opera, and how to continue in the future.
I hope that Guizhou's exhibition will not be limited to display, and even the logic and depth of the display are not enough. If the exhibition is just a display, the difference from online viewing is really not big, and even online information can be deeper.

Guizhou National Hall - The Provincial Ethnic Museum
Guizhou Province is one of the provinces in China with the most ethnic minorities, inhabited by various ethnic groups such as the Miao, Dong, Buyi, and Shui, who have lived here for generations, making it a model of a multi-ethnic society. The ethnic groups in Guizhou have created a rich and colorful culture, which adds a touch of human charm to the beautiful natural scenery of Guizhou. If you want to choose a place to understand the production and living conditions of the various ethnic groups in Guizhou, it is undoubtedly the Guizhou Provincial Ethnic Museum, which can be called the Guizhou National Hall.
The Guizhou Provincial Ethnic Museum is located inside the National Cultural Palace to the southeast of Zhucheng Square in Guiyang City, facing Zunyi Road across the square. The National Cultural Palace is a landmark building in Guiyang, with a tall building exterior designed to resemble the Dong ethnic group's drum tower, which stands out from any angle. Inside the National Cultural Palace, there are various institutions such as the Ethnic Museum, Ethnic Library, and Ethnic Research Center.
The museum is located on the first and second floors of the National Cultural Palace and displays the history, customs, culture, clothing, festivals, and other aspects of the various ethnic groups in Guizhou with exquisite exhibits. With a rich collection and detailed content, it is an excellent place for researching and learning about the ethnic groups of Guizhou.
