Yuebei Restaurant - a time-honored Cantonese restaurant recommended by old Wuzhou people!
Friends who come to Wuzhou and want to eat delicious Cantonese cuisine, just go to Yuebei Restaurant (main branch). Although the store is not big, the service is really good and the prices are affordable!
Because I haven't seen this friend for a long time, and he usually stays at home, I ordered more, which scared the guests and aunties at the opposite table and next to me.
Recommended dishes:
①Paper-wrapped chicken: One of the must-try dishes in Wuzhou, with a minimum order of two servings. However, the ones he makes are a bit dry and sweet, which I personally can’t get used to.
② Lychee and Taro Duck: The duck meat is wrapped in taro paste, which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It has a unique flavor when paired with condensed milk. However, it may make you choke if you eat too much.
③Northern Guangdong Scallion Oil Fish: The fish skin is very crispy, but the fish meat inside is super tender! Dip the fish in the scallion oil soup at the bottom of the bowl to fully bring out the sweetness of the fish.
④ Wuliu Fried Egg: A classic Cantonese dish, it is absolutely the favorite of the Cantonese people. The sour and sweet taste is very appetizing and goes well with rice.
Tips: The portion of each dish is quite large, so it is recommended to order according to the number of people to avoid waste.
