🔸Gu-eom-ri Dol-salt Farm
✔️Location: Gu-eom-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju
Gu-eom-ri Dol-salt Farm, a famous sunset spot in Jeju. The sunset is a place that creates a picturesque landscape with Jeju's unique terrain added to the ocean scenery. If you want to take pictures at sunset, I recommend arriving around 6:40 PM~ Especially on days after rain, the sunset is reflected in the stagnant water, making it even more romantic. Take lots of great shots with the beautiful ocean scenery!!

Gu-eom-ri salt farm
Eat seafood ramen and see the Dol-yeom-jeon 😳
Geu-eom-ri Dol-yeom-jeon is said to be a place where salt was produced on basalt!
Geu-eom-ri Dol-yeom-jeon, also called ‘Salt Ville’, was a natural rock area where Gu-eom-ri residents produced salt.
It is said that they produced solar salt for about 390 years, but it was abandoned after liberation and no longer produces salt.
It is said that Jeju City partially restored the Dol-yeom-jeon in 2009😊
There are many restaurants and pojangmachas nearby, so it would be nice to see the salt farm and have a simple lunch or dinner and have a drink while looking at the sea.

A place where you can feel the nature and traditional culture of Jeju Island.
*Gueom Port, Gueom-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Island*
'Gueom-ri Stone Salt Farm' located on the coast about 15km west of Jeju Airport
It is a place where you can get a glimpse of the traditional salt farm culture of Jeju people, so it is recommended as a Jeju family travel course to visit with children.
This stone salt farm, made of natural stones, was operated from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
It is said that seawater seeps through the stones and evaporates in the sunlight and wind, creating salt.
If you visit during low tide, you can properly observe the appearance of the stone salt farm.

🌊 Gu-eom-ri salt farm, Jeju's traditional salt production site
If you go a little further past Gu-eom-ri Port, you will come across Gu-eom-ri Dol-salt Farm, which used to produce salt on basalt. This place is also called 'Salt Bille', and it was a natural rock area where Gu-eom-ri residents used to obtain salt in a natural way. Since 'Bille' means a flat rock in Jeju dialect, 'Salt Bille' contains the meaning of a rock that produced salt, that is, a Dol-salt Farm.
This Dol-salt Farm preserves the history and tradition of Jeju Island, and contains the wisdom and effort that Jeju residents used in the past to obtain salt, a gift from the sea. Although salt is not produced now, visiting this place will give you a glimpse into Jeju Island's rich nature and the lives of its residents in the past, which will help you understand Jeju Island's traditional lifestyle.
