Summer Resort|Changyu Dongtian in Wenling—Guangxi Cave Travel Guide
Changyu Dongtian Scenic Area is located in the remnants of Beiyandang Mountain. The Changyu Cave Group is a unique landscape left behind by manual slate mining since the Northern and Southern Dynasties, with a history of over 1500 years. There are sightseeing buses in the scenic area, 20 yuan per person, and you can take them as many times as you want in a day.
The first stop is Guangxi Cave. If you want to explore the entire cave, there will be many stairs to climb, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. After entering the cave entrance, you first walk through the Nine-Curve Pearl Bridge, where you can see a white stone Maitreya Buddha. On the right side, there are stairs leading to a boating project, 40 yuan per half hour. The boat travels inside the cave, and if there are many people, you may need to queue.
Then return the same way, and walk forward to reach the Rock Cave Music Hall. The space here is very large, with three or four performances every day. If you want to watch, you can pay attention to the performance times.
Start climbing the stairs opposite the music hall. The stairs are quite steep, especially in summer when the sun is very hot. After passing a pavilion and continuing to climb for a while, you will reach the Guanyin Wall, which is almost the highest point of the scenic area. After passing the Guanyin Wall and continuing forward, you can return to the cave, where there are many attractions such as Water Drop Stone Money, Suspended Well, Longevity Star Watching the Moon, and Dongtian Treasure Bowl. The tour route forms a loop and will eventually return to the Rock Cave Music Hall.
After visiting this attraction, you can return the same way and visit the Panda Pavilion opposite Guangxi Cave.
