Sunset and Twilight: The Magnificent Views from the Los Angeles Observatory
The sunset views from the observatory, especially the twilight, are often breathtaking. The observatory's elevated location provides a wide-open view, allowing people to appreciate the magnificent sunset. As the sun slowly sets, the sky's colors gradually change from golden to orange-red, and then to deep blue, creating a splendid picture. 🌟🌟
Twilight occurs because sunlight is scattered by the atmosphere. When the sun is near the horizon, the light has to pass through a thicker layer of the atmosphere. The shorter wavelengths of blue and green light are scattered away, leaving the longer wavelengths of red and orange light, which is what we see as twilight. 👊👊
Watching the sunset at the observatory, the surrounding astronomical equipment and buildings add visual layers, making one feel the harmonious coexistence of technology and nature. You can also see the distant mountains or city skyline, adding more beauty to the twilight. 👍💞
Many people choose to watch the sunset at the observatory, bringing cameras or sketchbooks to capture the moment's beauty. The changes in twilight are fleeting, and as the light changes, the scene constantly evolves, making it mesmerizing. 🌹
During the process of watching twilight, one can feel inner peace and relaxation. It is a moment of intimate contact with nature, allowing people to rethink the beauty of life. 🫶🫶
The sunset and twilight at the observatory are not only a visual feast but also a spiritual enjoyment, making people feel the brevity of life and the magnificence of nature. Each viewing is a unique experience worth savoring. 👍👍💯💯🌹

Los Angeles|Griffith Observatory Travel Tips
Griffith Observatory, the filming location of the movie 'La La Land', is one of the must-visit attractions in Los Angeles and one of my personal favorites😌.
.
🚕Transportation
✔️Take a taxi directly up the hill. After getting off, walk a short distance to the entrance. It is recommended to avoid holidays and weekends, and go a bit earlier. Many people go up the hill around 4 or 5 PM to watch the sunset🌇, which can cause traffic jams.
✔️When going down, you can take a free shuttle bus to the bottom of the hill and then take a taxi, which can save some fare😁.
👀Highlights
✔️The observatory does not require an entrance fee. Watching a show costs $10, and you can buy tickets on the spot. The seats are incredibly comfortable, especially for those who have been walking all day. Lying on the sofa and looking up at the vast universe is extremely relaxing👏.
✔️Viewing through the telescope is free, but you need to wait in a long line.
✔️Don't miss the dome mural and Foucault pendulum in the observatory hall.
✔️Be sure not to miss the sunset🌅 and the twilight after sunset at the observatory, which are breathtakingly beautiful.
⚠️Reminders
✔️Closed on Mondays.
✔️The signal📶 on the hill is not very good, especially indoors.

Griffith Observatory for NON-GEEKS
If you are not a fan of museums like me, there is still a reason to visit Griffith Observatory - the fantastic view of LA.
I took LA DOT’s FREE (YES IT IS FOC) DASH Observatory/ Los Feliz bus to Griffith Observatory, and it dropped us off right at the entrance. The bus ride was fun, and we got to see some cool sights along the way.
Once we arrived, we climbed up a little hill to reach the observatory, and the view was amazing! We could see all of Los Angeles spread out below us like a giant puzzle. The tall buildings downtown, the Hollywood sign in the distance, and rolling hills of Griffith Park. We spent hours just staring at the view and taking pictures. Inside the observatory, we learned all about space and stars, but nothing beats the view from outside.

Hong Kong is a destination with so much culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong and spend a day in the famous Ocean Park, enjoy seafood in Sai Kung and perhaps even hop on a ferry to Macau!

The LA Observatory's summit offers an unparalleled vista of both downtown Los Angeles and the iconic Hollywood sign. From this lofty perch, the sprawling metropolis unfurls beneath you, its pulsating energy palpable even from afar. Skyscrapers punctuate the cityscape while the Hollywood sign stands as a beacon of cinematic history against the backdrop of the Santa Monica Mountains. As the sun sets, the skyline ignites with a kaleidoscope of colours, casting a mesmerizing glow over the urban landscape. It's a panoramic tableau that captures the essence of LA's allure, blending glamour, ambition, and dreams under the vast Californian sky. I believe this will make you no regret for such a trip!

A Visit to Griffith Observatory
Griffith Observatory is located at 2800 E Observatory Rd., Los Angeles, California 90027
United States.
It is an Art Deco stargazing spot atop Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. For those astronomy enthusiasts or who are interested in stargazing is one of the best spot.
The Griffith Observatory#GriffithObservatory is one of the most visited observatories in the world with various reasons. Beside arts and stargazing, the view of Hollywood sign from here with the photogenic views is where many visitors as well.
Of course, Griffith Observatory's main draw, though the free entry was certainly a bonus. A fee of between $6 and $10 to see the planetarium shows is worth it if you happen to be there too.

not going to lie, we drove to griffith after visiting the renowned Hollywood sign, which you are able to see from Griffith. parking lots were plenty however it is a popular attraction hence might need to spend time finding parking.
free admission with lots to see if you’re into telescope and stuff. this place is one of the few in the world that still produces exclusively live planetarium shows if you like such stuff.
also, because of how central it’s located and because it’s up the hill, it’s located at a good spot where you can oversea the skyline of LA. beautiful.
do check for operating hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re in LA.

My favourite place in Los Angeles
#bucketlistreboot
Griffith Observatory is one of the only major facilities in the world that still produces exclusively live planetarium shows. Over 100,000 shows have been presented since the building opened in 1935.
Admission is free for all but do check out the opening hours (currently only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
The Observatory’s Zeiss Mark II planetarium projector was used for the Observatory’s first 29 years of operation (1935-1964). It is now on display as part of Griffith Observatory’s exhibit program. In the 1990s, Observatory staff had to customize streetlight bulbs for use in the Zeiss Mark IV projector because the original bulbs were no longer produced.

Skyline of Los Angeles from Griffith Observatory 🇺🇸
Griffith Observatory is an icon of Los Angeles, a national leader in public astronomy, a beloved civic gathering place, and one of southern California’s most popular attractions. The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, just above the Los Feliz neighborhood. It is 1,134 feet above sea level and is visible from many parts of the Los Angeles basin. The Observatory is the best vantage point for observing the world-famous Hollywood Sign. Since opening in 1935, the Observatory has welcomed over 85 million visitors. Open late nearly every evening, Griffith Observatory’s audience is “the general public,” and it is one of the rare places where you will see people from every part of the region and from all parts of the world.
The Observatory is a free-admission, public facility owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks in the middle of an urban metropolis of ten million people. The 67,000 square-foot building is one of the most popular informal education facilities in the United States and the most-visited public observatory in the world (with 1.6 million visitors a year). Griffith Observatory is a unique hybrid of public observatory, planetarium, and exhibition space. It was constructed with funds from the bequest of Griffith J. Griffith (who donated the land for Griffith Park in 1896), who specified the purpose, features, and location of the building in his 1919 will. Upon completion of construction in 1935, the Observatory was given to the City of Los Angeles with the provision that it be operated for the public with no admission charge. When it opened in 1935, it was one of the first institutions in the U.S. dedicated to public science and possessed the third planetarium in the U.S.
Fulfilling the Observatory’s goal of “visitor as observer,” free public telescope viewing is available each evening skies are clear and the building is open. More people (8 million) have looked through the Observatory’s Zeiss 12-inch refracting telescope than through any other on Earth. More than 18 million have seen a live program in the Observatory’s Samuel Oschin Planetarium.
The building operated continuously from 1935 until January 6, 2002, when it closed for a comprehensive renovation and expansion. This ambitious $93-million project renewed the Observatory’s world-class standing and restored and enhanced the Observatory’s ability to pursue its public astronomy mission, all driven by a commitment to excellence and enabled by a successful public-private partnership between the City of Los Angeles and Friends Of The Observatory. The renewed building reopened to the public on November 2, 2006. It has operated since then with steadily increasing attendance and cultural visibility.

Los Ángeles - California 🇺🇸
Griffith Observatory is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Los Angeles. This place is not located in down town, however It can be reached easily by taxi or public transport. The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours. Griffith’s Telescope
opened in 1935, #griffithobservatory gives you the best view of #losangeles. 👼🏻 after browsing through astronomical exhibits about solar eclipses, tides, and related instruments, you can watch a film at the oschin #planetarium. 🪐 at night, you can even look through the very 12-inch zeiss telescope that griffith himself looked through! 🔭 it is said to be the most looked through telescope by the public. 👀

Beautiful views from high above LA!
A must visit place if you are visiting Los Angeles! Being high above LA and admiring the beautiful scenery was absolutely stunning! This place has beautiful views as far as the eye can see you could clearly see the Hollywood sign and the entire city of LA! Inside the observatory, there are a lot of interesting information help to understand better about our universe.
Parking is so crowded and expensive. You may park far away and walk up the hill the rest of the way. So while walking inside, you should see the beautiful landscape around. HIGLY RECOMENDED TO VISIT!

When I arrived at Griffith, it was almost dusk. After stopping the car, I could watch the sunset directly.
The mountain winds at night are very cold and cold, and the temperature drops by ten degrees. It feels like being fooled by the wind. Unfortunately, the fog was very strong at sunset, so I didn't expect it to be so clear and overlooking the entire LA. But the sunset is still beautiful, and the rich orange-red color is red.
You need to watch the stars directly on the official website oh

Griffith Observatory, famous for being the location for LaLaLand🌌
It was built with money donated by Mr. Griffith!
I was planning to go see the view, but since I was there, I also went to see the planetarium d(^_^o)
It was amazing! To be honest, I'm not good at English, so it was difficult to understand everything, but the video alone was enough to satisfy me🌟
I recommend seeing the night view from Griffith Observatory, but the sunset is also very beautiful, so I think it's best to wait around before sunset and enjoy the changing colors of the sky🌇
I took Uber on the way there, but on the way back, I was lucky enough to get a bus at the right time, so I took the bus back to the station🚌
The signal is weak, so I recommend using the free wifi at Griffith Observatory when doing research!
Please go and check it out 🎀

Griffith Observatory | First time understanding the concrete meaning of "happiness".
|First time understanding the concrete meaning of "happiness". As soon as I got off the car, my brain automatically played LALA LAND🎵
Successfully captured the sunset on a crowded Saturday🌄
Sunset collection+1✅
Uber slowly drove up the mountain, and I saw the sunset through the car window
Suddenly understood what "breathtaking beauty" is
Both phone and camera were used, but only captured 30% of its beauty
A spontaneous decision so no show ticket was reserved, but the sunset was worth the round-trip fare
(By the way, leave an excuse for the next visit)
💁🏻♀️Practical tips:
✅On weekends or evenings, it is recommended to take Uber directly, which is convenient and avoids the need to find parking
✅If you want to drive yourself, you can locate and park at the Greek Theater, but it is recommended to check if there are any performances on the day of departure. If there are performances, Uber is more convenient
✅If you are interested in astronomy, you can visit the observatory. The dome murals and the Bosko clock in the hall are very interesting
✅If you want to take a photo of the sunset, come at least one hour in advance. If you arrive late, the Uber drop-off point has the best view
✅To go downhill, you can take a shuttle bus to the bottom of the mountain and then take a taxi, which will be cheaper

The best views of LA?
Many sport in the sprawling city of Los Angeles can lay claim to having the best view but it’s hard to beat the one from Griffith Observatory on Mount Hollywood. From here the whole city can be viewed from downtown all the way out to the Pacific Ocean at Santa Monica as well as a fantastic way to see the iconic Hollywood sign.
#toptip #1 try to go early in the morning and on a weekday to catch the sunrise to the East and avoid the midday crowds
#toptip #2 take time to discover Griffith park a rare piece of wilderness in the metropolis.

Film and TV locations in Los Angeles! Griffith Observatory from La La Land.
Los Angeles, the world's film capital, has appeared in countless classic films. Those familiar streets, beaches, and landmarks have been filmed and become the "screen legends" in the hearts of the audience. Follow me to see those familiar movies and their Los Angeles scenery. If you plan to go, you can collect and see what preparations you need to make!
👍Most recommended: Griffith Observatory in La La Land
If you haven't seen La La Land, you must have missed a lot of romantic fantasies about Los Angeles! In the film, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone dance under the stars. The scene was filmed at Griffith Observatory. As the music sounded, the two danced under the night, and the night view of Los Angeles was in sight.
🚉Transportation strategy:
Address: 2800 E Observatory Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90027
🧳Preparation before departure:
This is a "net celebrity check-in place". Remember to bring a coat when you go up the mountain at night, the wind on the mountain is a bit strong! If you want to imitate the dance part in the movie, don't forget to wear a pair of good walking shoes, otherwise you won't be able to jump out of that romantic feeling!
📝Note tips:
The astronomical display in the Star Hall is also cool. You can see the panoramic view of Los Angeles during the day. You can see the city lights at night, the stars all over the sky, and the feeling is no less than a movie!

Los Angeles film and television check-in! "Transformers" Griffith Observatory.
The Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles is not only a pilgrimage site for astronomy enthusiasts, but also a must-see spot for movie fans in the United States because of the movies such as La La Land, Transformers, Golden Eye, Charlie's Angels, and Terminator.
The place where the male and female protagonists and Bumblebee watched the Autobots come to Earth in the first Transformers movie is the Griffith Observatory. This is a landmark building in Los Angeles and one of the world's famous observatories. It is located on a mountain in the northwest of downtown Los Angeles, facing the Hollywood Hills.
The Griffith Observatory is located in the Hollywood Hills and faces the landmark HOLLYWOOD sign on another mountain. It has been open to the public since 1935 and has a history of more than 80 years. Walking along the winding mountain road, looking up at a white building on the top of the mountain, it is the very eye-catching Griffith Observatory. This scenic spot with both entertainment and educational significance is free to visit except for the astronomical movie. It is economical and practical to take a trip to gain knowledge and broaden your horizons.
