China Antarctic Great Wall Station, referred to as the Great Wall Station, is the first scientific research station established by China in Antarctica. It was established on February 10, 1985 and is located in southwest Antarctica and south of King George Island. The station area is 2 kilometers long from north to south, 1.26 kilometers wide from east to west, covers an area of 2.52 square kilometers, and has an average altitude of 10 meters. The place is 17,501.949 kilometers away from Beijing. The station has been expanded four times since its establishment, and there are 25 various buildings with a total construction area of about 4,200 square meters. It includes 7 main buildings (office building, dormitory building, medical and sports building, meteorological building, communication building, scientific research building) and several other scientific and logistical buildings. It can accommodate 60 people in summer and about 20 people in winter. The current webmaster is Pei Fuyu.
