When traveling to Egypt, be sure to act with a cool indifference
🇪🇬 Egypt, a land filled with mystery. Once you immerse yourself in it and lift its veil of secrecy, what awaits you are the stunning pyramids and an astonishing experience...
📝 From the moment you enter Egypt, you will be battling against various scammers, price gougers, harassers, and even extortionists.
Before going to Egypt, I saw many people suggesting to prepare small stationery items or cooling oil to give to the service providers there, as they would appreciate it. However, in reality, they don't care!!! Whether it's the driver who takes you around, the 'enthusiastic' tourists who offer to take photos, or even the locals who strike up a conversation with you on the street, all they ever say is 'money! money! dollar! dollar!'
Be extra vigilant when visiting the pyramids.
🎫 Tickets:
Adults 540 Egyptian pounds, students half price. If you want to enter inside the pyramids, it's an additional +900 Egyptian pounds. But there's really no need to go inside; the most impressive aspect of the pyramids is their exterior.
⏰ Time:
Expect to spend about 3-4 hours touring. It's cooler in the morning, and the sunset in the evening is beautiful.
🧭 Route:
North Gate - Great Pyramid of Khufu - Pyramid of Khafre - Pyramid of Menkaure - Great Sphinx - East Gate exit.
🚗 Transportation:
You can use Uber, but often the drivers will ask for more money. The international version of Didi is also available and slightly cheaper.
⚠️ Caution:
1⃣️ When you're close to the scenic area, many people will try to stop your car; don't pay attention to them.
2⃣️ Inside the scenic area, many people will 'enthusiastically' offer to take photos for you; they're not kind-hearted, they want money after taking the photo. Ignore them.
3⃣️ People will approach you to 'explain' things, and after a few words, they'll ask for money. Ignore them.
4⃣️ Camel and horse carriage drivers in the area will come over to solicit rides; if you want to ride, agree on a price first; if not, ignore them.
5⃣️ Never show your wealth when paying, as there really are people who will snatch it away.
6⃣️ Don't go inside the pyramids; it's stuffy, smelly, and extremely uncomfortable.
In short, at the pyramids and other tourist spots in Egypt, act with cool indifference, and you'll avoid a lot of trouble!

Egyptian pyramid charter tour to watch the sunset guide
The pyramid read in the encyclopedia,
The pyramid built with toy blocks⏳️,
When you see it standing on the edge of Cairo, Egypt,
The shock that hits you✨,
Makes you can't help but 'wow' out loud.
Getting up early and rushing directly is very good,
If you only have time in the afternoon, you can also play well👍.
Follow this guide to enjoy playing and watch the millennium sunset at the pyramid.
⏰Important time:
Play time: It is recommended not to be less than 3 hours
Opening hours: 08:00-17:00
To the viewing platform: 16:00
Sunset time: 16:30-17:00
The sun sets behind the viewing platform, and you can take a silhouette of the hillside.
👣Regular route: Enter from the north and exit from the east, there are fewer people at the north gate.
👣My route: Suitable for afternoon trips, living near the east gate. The road at the east gate is too congested, and it is not worth going to the north gate for at least half an hour.
📍Enter from the east gate-Sphinx-Go through the pyramid from the sand between the two main roads-Viewing platform-Go around the pyramid on the other side-Exit from the east gate;
👉The pyramid scenic area is too big, there are many tourists in the afternoon, but it does not affect playing and taking pictures. There are more camels and horse-drawn carriages, and the picture will be richer.
👉The camels and horse-drawn carriages leaving the field have separate exits, don't follow them. You just pass through the middle of the pyramid and walk while taking pictures in the direction you came from. The scenic area begins to clear the field, and someone will urge you to leave quickly. These people with bad attitudes are really staff members😂Very credible.
🎫Tickets, the price has increased! Half price for students
Enter the scenic area: 540 Egyptian pounds for adults.
You need to buy a ticket to enter the pyramid. It is said that there is nothing inside, it is stuffy and hot and narrow, so I gave up. If you want to see murals and tombs, you can go to the Egyptian Museum, the temples and the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
👉Tickets cannot be bought with Cash, if you want to save money, find someone to help swipe the card.
Local people buy tickets at the door, and we charge an extra 30 for student tickets. The ticket issuance is smooth, and the process is not allowed to be filmed.
👉It is now strict to buy student tickets. Ask the age when buying tickets, and ask one by one when checking tickets. Remember how old you are, friends, if you can't speak English clearly, just gesture with your hands.
📌Tips:
①Don't trust anyone, if you are followed, pretend to be angry and interrupt in time.
The second before is the ticket checker's various warm reminders, and the next second he becomes a camel broker who talks endlessly. Tell him 'You're annoying (you're so annoying😡)' and he will leave.
③It's not hot in Cairo in December, and it's not bad to walk and take pictures if you're afraid of being pitted by riding a horse or camel. Only take pictures with camels at the viewing platform, 50 pounds per person. After taking the picture, he still wants more, don't give it!
③Bring water, bring water, bring water! Either wear high-top shoes, or wear socks + slippers like me, otherwise it will be uncomfortable to get into the sand.

Cigarette time with the Great Sphinx of Giza.
The best one day trip I had since a long time in my life. Book yourself for a one day private tour around Cairo (€100 for 2 people) with pyramid viewing (tickets to buy separately) to begin with. Book yourself in the a hotel with the pyramids view. Wake up in the morning enjoy your breakfast on a balcony with the Great Sphinx and the pyramids just in front of you. After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel by your private tour guide and your driver.A must do is to make sure you find the trip with a quad safari around the pyramids desserts afterwards. Get around Cairo and stop in a few shops and the museums of Papyrus paper. Have a lunch in one of the best local restaurants to finish off this short but adventurous day in Cairo before you move in the evening on a flight to the Red Sea. #the great Sphinx of Giza#sphinx#cairo#one day in Cairo#pyramids #giza Pyramids

There is a picture of the Sphinx of Giza 6 years ago in my dream frame and I was finally able to face it.

Today was the day to arrive close to the Cheops Pyramid, one of the seven wonders of the world, and the Giza Pyramid. #historicallandmarks

Go and see this ancient wonder while it still stands. Over 4,000 years old and one of the very few links left to the old world. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated and it's face has seen better days, but what an amazing structure for it's time (especially as it was completely cut and shaped from the bedrock), and with the awesome backdrop of the Great Pyramid in proximity, it is something you should see once in your life. Some free advice - just ignore the sellers and the camel guys. They would steal the eye out of your head if given the chance. They always start by asking "where are you from my friend?" A friendly old guy with a camel tried to remove the ring from my partners finger during a handshake he initiated. I confronted him and he walked off sneering in Arabic. The mask slipped there. Absolute scumbag. The radar was on for the rest of the day after that. This didn't take away from what a special site this is.overall aweomse

Our family excursion to the Great Sphinx of Giza was an awe-inspiring journey through ancient history and mystery. As we approached the colossal limestone statue, its enigmatic gaze seemed to draw us in, stirring our imagination and curiosity. Standing in the shadow of this iconic monument, we marveled at its sheer size and the meticulous craftsmanship that has endured for millennia. We traced the intricate carvings and hieroglyphics, imagining the stories they held within their weathered surfaces. Against the backdrop of the nearby pyramids, we felt a profound sense of wonder and reverence for the ancient Egyptians who built these marvels. Our visit to the Great Sphinx was a profound encounter with the past, igniting a passion for exploration and discovery in the hearts of our family.
As for our next dream destination, we've set our sights on the vibrant streets of Marrakech, Morocco. Nestled at the crossroads of history and culture, Marrakech offers a sensory feast of bustling souks, aromatic spices, and intricate architecture. We look forward to getting lost in the maze-like alleyways of the medina, bargaining for treasures in the lively markets, and savoring the exotic flavors of Moroccan cuisine. Exploring the rich tapestry of Berber traditions and soaking in the vibrant colors and sounds of Jemaa el-Fnaa square will be an adventure unlike any other, creating memories to cherish for a lifetime amidst the enchanting allure of the Red City.

Egypt house of Civilization. Ancient egypt.
#cherryblossom2024 Despite Egypt’s ongoing political and social upheaval, it remains one of the most captivating destinations in the Middle East and on earth, and is more welcoming than ever to travellers who want to uncover the secrets of its ancient culture. The iconic history of Egypt is imprinted on every single mind throughout modern history; since Howard Carter revealed Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1921, the Pyramids and surrounding relics have been cause for many an adventurer’s pilgrimage. It’s one of the few destinations that taps into the deep yearning within us to connect with an ancient human past, and is a must-see bucket list item for many. Combined with the experience of cruising down the Nile on a Felucca, and watching the sunrise from a desert camp beneath a blanket of stars, a holiday in Egypt is a mesmerising adventure from start to finish. This was a trip of a lifetime and I cannot highly recommend it enough, particularly made special by our wonderful guide Marwa. Her knowledge and organisation was excellent, and her passion and genuine care was above and beyond. The itinerary is well planned and you do see a lot. Marwa ensured we felt comfortable and safe, with down time where possible. At each site and along the way, we learnt extensively from Marwa and had free time at most sites to explore afterwards. It’s difficult to pick a highlight but Abu Simbel and the Nile Cruise were very special

Unique and unbelievable
You can't go to Egypt without visiting the pyramids at Giza but be aware that Egypt has many more ancient sites to visit. Also, Cairo is large, smoggy and extremely congested. If that's all you see of Egypt, you'll have a very different impression than if you visited other cities like Luxor, Aswan and Edfu, which are all on the tourist trail.

Journey to Egypt
Day 1: We arrived in Cairo. Since there was no check-in arranged in the morning, we decided to take a Cairo city walk. We visited City Stars, which is the largest mall in Africa. The variety of goods was dazzling and overwhelming.
Day 2: We set off at four in the morning to Siwa. After a 10-hour journey, we visited the Shali market. The souvenirs here are all handmade and very meaningful. I suggest everyone buy as much as possible because these souvenirs cannot be found elsewhere. Later, we visited the Cleopatra spring, which is said to be where the Queen of Egypt once bathed. In the evening, we went to Fetnas Island to enjoy the beautiful sunset and tasted the fresh milk with dates juice, which was very delicious. The scenery here is also very suitable for taking photos.
Day 3: In the morning, we went to the salt lake and prepared swimsuits and sunscreen in advance. In the afternoon, we headed to the Sahara Desert to experience the fun of dune bashing and sand sliding. At night, we camped in the desert, tasted the campfire evening tea, and enjoyed an unforgettable desert journey.
Day 4: Our group departed from Siwa to Matrouh. The journey was long and tedious. If time permits, I suggest staying in Matrouh for one night to enjoy the local customs. In the evening, we had a seafood feast, but the taste was just average.
Day 5: Our itinerary was quite tight. We first visited the Giza Pyramid Complex and the Sphinx, and even rode on local camels. In the afternoon, we visited the Egyptian Museum and the Khalili market. Due to the tight schedule, I suggest splitting these two attractions into separate visits to avoid an overly hectic schedule. In the evening, we ended our journey in Cairo Luxor.

The Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the face of a human, is about 73 meters long, 21 meters high, and 5 meters wide in the face. It is carved from a single giant rock and sits on the south side of the Hafra Pyramid, only 350 meters away from the Khufu Pyramid. It was built by Khufu's son, Djedefre, to commemorate his father, and the Sphinx is undoubtedly the largest statue ever built by humans in history.
This was one of the smallest tea shops I have ever seen. It was located near the Great Sphinx in Cairo Egypt. It was a tea shop for the camel drivers and tour guides. Seemed to be doing brisk business the day we visited.

The Great Sphinx is the largest one in Egypt, but there are many more, just not this large. Know what else is very large this area? Traffic is also terrible, do not go on a Thursday or Friday, just impossible crowds. #wintergetaway
