Grassland Sky Road | Guyuan Section of the Grassland Sky Road, where there are hidden views in regret...
There is a road that winds and twists like the veins of the earth, embedded between the green grassland and the blue sky - that is the fascinating Grassland Sky Road.
Last time I walked through the east and west sections of the Grassland Sky Road, only the mysterious and charming Guyuan section was left, which became a regret in my heart.
This time the goal is directly at the unexplored Guyuan secret realm. From Lightning Lake to Birch Bark Ridge, it makes up for the regret of the Guyuan section of the Sky Road.
But at the same time, the rainy season quietly came, weaving densely, putting a hazy veil on the grassland. The vehicle slowly drove on the wet sky road, and the scenery on both sides was more mysterious in the rain and fog. There is no clear sky in the past, but the grassland sky road in the rainy season shows its charm in another posture. Raindrops hang on the tender green grass tips, shining with crystal light, as if every drop is telling a story about nature and time.
In the distance, the mountains are looming in the rain and fog, like a light ink painting, which makes people yearn for but difficult to touch.
I stood at the end of the sky road, looking back at the road when I came, and my heart was mixed. Although the grassland sky road in the rainy season did not let me see the brightest sunshine and the boundless blue sky, it let me appreciate the other charm of the grassland in another way, and feel the changeable and infinite charm of nature.
Although I left regrets again this time, this regret has become one of my most precious memories. Because I know that it is these regrets that drive me to keep moving forward, to pursue the unseen scenery, and to experience every different moment in life.
Grassland Sky Road, your and my story is to be continued, next time, regardless of wind and rain, I will set off again, just to meet you deeper.

The Guyuan Section of the Grassland Sky Road – An Underestimated Approach to the Clouds
The Grassland Sky Road has been visited many times, but it was my first time to the Guyuan section. Unexpectedly, the two routes, one east and one west, are so different! Rolling up and down towards the clouds
📆【Travel Guide】
📆Itinerary:
A total of two days, weekend trip.
d1, depart from Beijing and navigate directly to Huapiling.
It's about a three-hour drive, and today you can go to Huapiling for some fun, the colorful houses are very photogenic! You can also take a look at the western line of the Grassland Sky Road, where the grass is greener and more lush.
d2, head straight for the Guyuan section of the Grassland Sky Road, no need for navigation or considering entering attractions, just drive all the way (strongly recommend a car with a sunroof), rolling up and down, at a higher altitude, truly towards the clouds overlooking, the villages in the grassland are too beautiful
🚗Transportation Guide:
Self-driving, self-driving, self-driving!
🌟Highlights of the trip:
There are many cows and horses eating grass by the roadside, stop the car on the side, take some photos and play, very leisurely.
Along the way, you pass through many villages, and you can also walk into the villages. However, the villages are quite primitive, with no supermarkets or restaurants, almost no commerce. We sat down and rested for a while at the edge of a village field, very leisurely!
💰Average cost per person:
Highway toll 115 yuan (one way). Accommodation in Huapiling around 300 yuan (there are many small restaurants and guesthouses at the exit of the Grassland Sky Road, all with decent conditions), average meal cost 50 yuan.
📌Little Tips:
It's especially cold at night, be sure to wear a jacket. We went in July, and it was still very cold, wear fleece!
