The Guyuan Section of the Grassland Sky Road – An Underestimated Approach to the Clouds
The Grassland Sky Road has been visited many times, but it was my first time to the Guyuan section. Unexpectedly, the two routes, one east and one west, are so different! Rolling up and down towards the clouds
📆【Travel Guide】
📆Itinerary:
A total of two days, weekend trip.
d1, depart from Beijing and navigate directly to Huapiling.
It's about a three-hour drive, and today you can go to Huapiling for some fun, the colorful houses are very photogenic! You can also take a look at the western line of the Grassland Sky Road, where the grass is greener and more lush.
d2, head straight for the Guyuan section of the Grassland Sky Road, no need for navigation or considering entering attractions, just drive all the way (strongly recommend a car with a sunroof), rolling up and down, at a higher altitude, truly towards the clouds overlooking, the villages in the grassland are too beautiful
🚗Transportation Guide:
Self-driving, self-driving, self-driving!
🌟Highlights of the trip:
There are many cows and horses eating grass by the roadside, stop the car on the side, take some photos and play, very leisurely.
Along the way, you pass through many villages, and you can also walk into the villages. However, the villages are quite primitive, with no supermarkets or restaurants, almost no commerce. We sat down and rested for a while at the edge of a village field, very leisurely!
💰Average cost per person:
Highway toll 115 yuan (one way). Accommodation in Huapiling around 300 yuan (there are many small restaurants and guesthouses at the exit of the Grassland Sky Road, all with decent conditions), average meal cost 50 yuan.
📌Little Tips:
It's especially cold at night, be sure to wear a jacket. We went in July, and it was still very cold, wear fleece!
