Weekend Trip | 48 Hours in Xi'an and Climbing Mount Hua!
...
I'm a Changchun native with a monthly salary of CNY 8,500. I spend my own money, work 9 to 5 with weekends off, and have a car and a house with no loans! I love to travel and use my weekends to travel alone! That's right, I'm a travel commando!
·
[Friday after work]
This week I'm going to Xi'an, first to see the Terracotta Warriors, then to climb Mount Hua! I get off work at 5 pm, arrive at the airport at 6 pm, take a flight at 8 pm, arrive in Xi'an at 11:40 pm, and check in to Hanting Hotel!
·
[Saturday morning]
I get up at 7 am and leave at 8 am! I take Metro Line 9 to Huaqing Pool, then take a bus to the Terracotta Warriors. The scenic area includes the Terracotta Warriors and Lishan Garden! The Terracotta Warriors, which have been buried for more than 2,000 years, are neatly arranged here, majestic and imposing; Lishan Garden, the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, and the Bronze Chariot Museum are all here!
·
[Saturday afternoon]
I take a taxi to Huaqing Pool, then take the metro to the Shaanxi History Museum, which requires an advance reservation, and whether you can get one is up to fate! If you can't get one, go to the Xi'an Museum! The above-ground relics are in Shanxi, and the underground relics are in Shaanxi. This saying is true, as there are many exquisite relics, especially the treasures of the Tang Dynasty, the grandeur of the Han Dynasty, and the important town of the Northwest, which are very exciting!
·
[Saturday night]
I eat lamb paomo, which is a bit greasy, but you can use sugar garlic to relieve it! After dinner, I take Metro Line 3 to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and check in to the Great Tang All Day Mall! At 7 pm, there is a fountain show at the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Square, so don't miss it!
·
In front is the main entrance of Daci'en Temple, and if you keep walking, you will come to a road! Cross the road to enter the real Great Tang All Day Mall, where there are various sculptures and performance art on the pedestrian street, and I see the Miss Roly-Poly, the Secret Box of the Tang Dynasty, and more!
·
[Sunday daytime]
I leave at 7 am, take Metro Line 2 to Xi'an North Railway Station, take train G1712 to Mount Hua, depart at 8:25 am, arrive at Huashan North Railway Station at 8:55 am, and take a taxi to the visitor center! Due to time constraints, I don't hike up the mountain, but take the cable car from the north to the west, because I want to challenge Canglong Ridge!
·
The cable car takes ten minutes to reach the North Peak, where I can see the Central Peak, which looks like a gold ingot, and Mount Hua is really beautiful! I keep walking, passing Juxian Terrace, the Ladder, and Jiuku Terrace, and then I reach Canglong Ridge, which is steep and narrow, and climbing it is very physically demanding!
·
After passing Canglong Ridge, I reach Jinsuo Pass and the Central Peak. It takes more than two hours to get from the North Peak to the Central Peak, and the most difficult part is Canglong Ridge, while the rest is manageable. I stay at the Central Peak for ten minutes, then challenge the West Peak! The West Peak is relatively easy to walk, with smaller steps, and is suitable for most tourists! This section takes about an hour, and the highlights are Yang Gong Tower, Axe-split Rock, and more!
·
I don't go to the East and South Peaks, which is a real pity! The legendary Chess Pavilion and Chang Kong Plank Road are over there, and even if I went, I probably wouldn't dare to challenge them! At 2:30 pm, I arrive at the West Peak cable car, which is basically a vertical descent, and I want to record a video, but I don't dare!
·
[Sunday night]
I leave the scenic area at 3 pm, take the high-speed train to Luoyang Longmen Railway Station, arrive at 4:30 pm, take a taxi to Beijiao Airport, take off at 6:35 pm, land in Shenyang at 8:55 pm, and then take a train back to Changchun!
