I have to say that Singapore is really suitable for family travel! ! It was already evening when we arrived on the first day. After immigration, we took a taxi directly to the hotel🏨 For a late night snack, I went to Geylang Lor9 for frog porridge (Ming Fai is not open on Tuesday) I ordered 4 bullfrogs and fried squid rings. They tasted great. 100 per capita. I feel that prices in Singapore are really high. . Sleep until you wake up naturally the next day and start the city walk from the hotel Our hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the tree cave. There are still a lot of people queuing up. It takes almost an hour You can find it by locating the Fort Canning Tree Tunnel. Route—Tree Cave—Merlion Park—Gardens by the Bay—Hotel🏨 Because I am traveling with my baby, I feel that the subway and buses are not very convenient. Basically just walk + take a taxi🚖 . On the second day, we only arranged Universal Studios and did not buy fast passes. The average queue does not exceed 20 minutes, and everyone who needs to be swiped has been swiped. The chicken is very tender but the rice is not delicious. Opposite is Chinatown. You can go shopping and buy some butcher shops. I bought Hu Zhenlong. Nice balance between fat and thin 500g 20 new I also ate black thorn durian and Indian flying cakes. Internet celebrity bread ice cream is also in Chinatown. The location at the intersection is pretty easy to find. . About the hotel I did a lot of research before. It's either too old or too expensive. After comparing a lot, I finally chose Grand Park Palace Hotel Singapore. The decoration style is retro and gorgeous. The location is great and convenient for travel. Downstairs is a shopping mall connected to the subway station 🏬All kinds of delicious food You can eat various delicacies at Ya Kun Koi without queuing up. . It only takes 20 minutes to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The National Museum of Beautiful Wood, Old Hill Street Police Station, Andrew's Church, Clarke Quay, Merlion Park and Tree Hole can all be reached on foot. Taking a taxi to tourist attractions is basically a starting fee, and going to Sentosa only costs a few dozen yuan. . I booked a parent-child room and the two rooms are connected. This must be rare in Singapore. The room is also very spacious and has a bathtub 🛁 The bedding was very comfortable and the room was cleaned every day for three consecutive days. Slept well! ! . There is a gym on the third floor The outdoor swimming pool is on the fourth floor of the hotel There is also a sky garden in R building overlooking the night view of Jinsha 🎑 . In addition, the room we booked was upgraded to Crystal Club and enjoys executive lounge treatment. The taste is very good. You should know that the consumption here is relatively high. This hotel located next to City Hall MRT has unique facilities that most of other 5 Stars hotel does not have. You will be pampered with personal steam room In your hotel room. It is one of the more affordable 5-star hotels in the City Hall district and the room sizes didn’t seem too shabby. We got a junior suite and had a comfy sofa to chill at. Bathroom even came with auto-steam room function where you could create your own pseudo-spa experience right in the comfort of your own room. The views left more to be desired though. 🏨 10 Coleman St, Singapore 179809 Located near City Hall MRT station with underpass leading to the Capitol Cinema makes it a comfortable short walk to the hotel. Drivers would be happy to know that parking in the hotel is free! Our family of 5 spent 4 days 3 nights in connecting rooms which were very spacious. Both rooms came with bathtubs which excited the kids. The room lighting, Aircon, ceiling fan and TV could all be controlled using an app. With a smart TV that allows screen mirroring from your smartphone it was hard to resist staying in the room all day binging on Netflix 😅 There are lots to do and eat at nearby malls like Raffles City Shopping Centre and Funan. We love heading over to Funan which is just across the road for plenty of restaurants and even went for a movie at GV cinema! Kids even tried out rock climbing for the first time at the Climb Central in Funan and absolutely loved it! If malls are not your thing, fret not cos there are also museums to visit. We could stroll over to the National Museum and also the Central Fire Station for a more educational trip. My partner and I showed up early and the check in staff was nice enough to upgrade us to a junior suite as our original room was not ready. Plus points! The junior suite was much bigger though the sofa layout was really weird so I only utilised once to eat some snacks. My other issue was the soundproofing. We read that soundproofing was an issue so was glad to get a corner room. I guessed it did help as it really was quite loud when people were talking outside our door. But we realised the toilet flush was really loud as well and it didnt help that the toilet door was facing our bed. Nevertheless everything else was ok. Bed was comfortable. Aircon is cold enough. Breakfast was average. Probably wouldnt pay extra for breakfast if i were to stay here again. Best of this place is the artistic side and complete facilities, rooftop bar as well as gym even though its small but sufficient. You can see Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer from their rooftop bar. It is open for public, sometimes their bar is close so you can just chill out there during the night. Gym is super small, but enough for running and weight training. It's located near the swimming pool. Not so fantastic but what I enjoyed the most is exploring the facinity. Afternoon tea offering is quite a disappointment with only 4-5 small bites and few whole fruits. There’s the usual cold and hot beverage. Expressed my disappointment which they apologised and promised to do better. Come evening, we were greeted with a surprise. They noted my casual remark that I’m a vegetarian and they specially prepared a vegetarian lasagna hot from the oven and vegetarian steamed Chinese buns in addition to the meatless options in the counter. Highly commendable. Mentioned that I won’t be staying too long as I would be going back to my room to watch NDP. They offered to change the tv channel in the lounge which I decline as our room offers a direct view of the fireworks live. So instead we brought cold beverage/beer and whole fruits back to the room to enjoy. 😄 Appreciate the GEM (Go-Extra-Mile) service. Come next morning for breakfast is another surprise. Noted that there are 2 requests for vegetarian options and we are 1 of them, the chef prepared a few more meatless options for us. So touched with the gesture. Had an enjoyable and leisurely breakfast followed by WFH from the lounge. Now I appreciate the power socket underneath my chair. Thomas especially will come to check on me regularly and offer to change the hot drink when it turned cold. Such attentive service is a good example of service excellence. It’s a shame that we couldn’t stay for lunch as we need to rush home for another meeting after checking-out. Lucky for us, we got our room by 2pm. Thanks to Front Desk Ms Ashikin and we were given a room facing in the direction of the Padang which gave us a chance to view the NDP fireworks albeit on a slightly lower floor which is perfectly alright. GPCH received the Green Mark Platinum certification from BCA in 2017 and is evident from the default room temperature at 25 deg complemented by colonial-style ceiling fan in each room to relieve the heavy consumption of aircon and the use of Smart Tech with an integrated app to reduce paper and manpower monitoring which we are impressed. They may have other measures which qualified them for the certification but as a hotel guest, I’m happy to be part of the 2 initiatives towards sustainability. While there isn’t a bathtub, we are more than happy with the steam bath function and get to use the hair mask, body mask n face mask for that in-room self-spa session. 😄 Evening was lovely as we sit at the small lounge area facing the Padang waiting to watch the spectacular fireworks while taking the que from the tv. #muststay at Grand Park if you love central location, great swimming pool and looking for special pool party event. It's held once in a while and happened to be during my stay on 16 July 2022. This hotel really has conscience about hygiene, they cleaned it up in the morning after pool party night before. I saw 2 guys cleaning up the pool when I took this pictures around 8am+ on 17 Jul. Another point to note that oasis suite located here near the pool and although there's outdoor jacuzzi as well, it is not so safe & private. I can peek from outside near swimming pool. Please note if you want to book any room at Grand Park City Hall which have outdoor jacuzzi, it's not a "private" one! #singapore #staycation

Thanks to tripblazer, I can get the Junior suite at $180 for free using tripcoins. Upgrade to this Coleman Suite to celebrate my birthday at additional cost of $250++; Room is very spacious, complete with bathtub and outdoor jaccuzi. But pillow is in odd shape, so small. Please also note that the outdoor jaccuzi is not private. I discover that people can see me in the outdoor jaccuzi from rooftop. Room complete with all basic amenities that you need. Only turn down point is that the fans can't be switched off so it's windy and quite annoying. But overall, it was great! Perfect for 4 people. #muststay #singapore #staycation

This hotel is super clean and got 1 of the nicest marble toilet mixed with Nonya style in town! Super cool!! Parking space was awesome and spacious! Good view and easy access!

Nice! Contactless lift buttons, self control app in the room to control the lighting, temperature in the room. Avg. Price per Person - We paid a good deal on trip.com. Less than $200 for a junior suite. Rating - 4 stars. Feel that the place of check-in is a little small as it is on the same level as the restaurant. Wants to try the normal room next time. Heard there is a bathtub in the normal room! Location is very good!

I am pretty sure this rooftop garden is a great place for parties and weddings too. You can see all 4 directions (NSEW) on this rooftop garden. Look toward the Eastside and you can use wonderful views of MBS. You also can have a good view of Central Fire Station and National Archives too. Don’t miss this opportunity for your trip moments when you are here at GPCH.

What an amazing swimming pool at GPCH and the views is OMG! Wonderful skyline with clear views on all skyscrapers in Cityhall. It can be a little noisy from The Central Fire Station and the traffic from the road. The swimming pool is on level 4 but still have an amazing view. Facing Hill street, you will have an unblocked view. Then on the opposite side, you can see Peninsular plaza and Raffles City. It is worth a trip to GPCH. Keep your eyes and ears open for the next sale on Trip.com , a little bird told me 7.7 😀

You get to choose if you wish to sit near the bar or by the window. Usually, the end section of the club is used for private events. It has better lighting over there. Thanks to my room package, I get to enjoy my afternoon tea and cocktail and canapé over here. They served the afternoon in 3 tier basket and canapé on wooden blocks. The drinks are free flow and during canapé hours, you can have free flow alcohol. Do remember to book your time slot, per time slot is 1.5 hour.

They have many arts installations here and seamless technology via their own app. From their website: “Old World Charm Meets Modern Luxury In Singapore's Civic District” This is absolutely true! Their theme is black and white plus some dashes of colors. Their designs are a mixture of Peranakan and Colonial feel. I blame myself for missing them out and it is Capitol Kempinski to be blamed for. This is because Capitol Kempinski is right next door and is more appealing to me. Now that I have discover about GPCH, I will make sure I tick all the boxes about them. Every part of the hotel is decorated beautifully with large frame paintings. I love their lobby on level 3 very much. It is so welcoming (during quiet times). During check in hours, the lobby is pretty crowded. You will see a long corridor as the reception is right next to the bar, filling every inch of space with their arts installation.

The next best pricing was $188 for a Saturday check in. The difference between Oasis JS and JS is just the outdoor garden with jacuzzi. The room layout are almost similar. Oasis JS is twice the size of the JS (35 sqm). Both Oasis JS and JS have a lovely corner by the window. I will suggest you to make your own afternoon tea and set up in this corner. It will be a splendid staycation! But don’t forget, you have access to their Crystal Club lounge and you will need to book a time slot.

#staycation Grand Park City Hall 10 Coleman Street, Singapore 179809 Lounge around in the comfortable, recently renovated Grand Park City Hall hotel! I loved that the hotel room had a good sized sofa alongside the bed for additional friends and family who come over to relax together. The hotel was also conveniently located between City Hall MRT and Funan, a large shopping mall which has many food and retail stores. At the beginning we thought that the washroom was open concept but fret not, there are blinds for you and your guests to wind down for some additional privacy. Pro Tip: There was a portable speaker in the room for you to play your own music, which we really appreciated!

Thanks to the deals that sister trip have us a few months ago, I got a superb deal of a Junior Suite with club access, where I was entitled club lounge benefits. I visited the lounge for tea time and was serviced promptly, they asked for my room number and name. Then lead us to our seats! Once at our seats, they took our drink orders and asked us if we had any food allergies and left to prepare the food. The drinks arrived pretty quickly but the food was cold when served to us, not room temperature, but cold! All of the items but one, the mini egg mayo wrap were forgettable. Other than that, service was quick and friendly! #staycation

Booked this deal thanks to sister trip! We stayed in Junior Suite with breakfast and club access for just $138! With the cheaper price, I lowered down my expectations and they were somewhat met. The junior suites were basically corner rooms with a sofa, perfect to host a late night drinking sesh with your friends! Very clean room with full amenities, to our surprise there's a huge area for you to stand and sit in the shower area, there’s also a steam bath function! Smart control of lights and aircon/fan switches. No wait for our check in, and smooth processes to pool and gym. Breakfast option was a lot, and the standard is great. Had a great experience here! Very good job and hope to be back soon. #staycation
