I took my baby to experience all the hotels in Haikou 🏨. From my personal perspective, the Shenzhou Peninsula Hyatt Regency Hotel is almost the best hotel in Wanning 🏨. The villa 🏡-style rooms have excellent lighting, privacy, quietness, and decoration! It's a great place to take photos.

These hotels perfectly match my aesthetic preferences, so the following impressions are very subjective haha.
The hotel consists of several two-story villas, each of which may be divided into 2-4 rooms (not sure), so the area is quite large, and you often need to call for a shuttle to get around.
I highly recommend booking a sea view room. Generally, the king bed is on the first floor, and the twin beds are on the second floor. The first floor has a courtyard, and the sea view is clearer from the second floor. I personally prefer the first floor, but when traveling with a family of four, the child is grown up, and the king bed room needs at least two extra beds. After some consideration, we paid a bit more to upgrade to a one-bedroom sea view suite with a living room. It was very large and comfortable~
The suite comes with executive privileges, and they added an extra bed for free. What made us very happy was that our friends who stayed in a standard room also received executive privileges, which was very considerate.
Executive privileges include afternoon tea and happy hour at the Club Lounge, with unlimited drinks and fruits, and there are also desserts and light meals. Breakfast is available until 11 am and is very rich. In summary, you really don't need to eat out for a meal in a day.
Next to the breakfast area is a children's playground.
The pool is standard, with children's play facilities. In the evening, there will be a bubble battle.
The beach bar next to the pool is great, meaning adults can comfortably drink while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool.
The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, but it seems the hotel doesn't provide facilities like water and towels (or maybe I didn't notice). You can walk to the lighthouse or rent a car to drive to the lighthouse on Shenzhou Peninsula.
If you walk 5 minutes to the right from the beach outside the hotel, there is another beach bar where you can have a drink. Highly recommended, lying down and looking at the sea at that moment really makes you feel 'I live my dream.'

The main complaint from many people is the long wait time for the shuttle bus. Indeed, because the hotel is large, many places require a shuttle bus to get around. During peak seasons and busy periods, the supply of shuttle buses is insufficient, which is a problem. However, during non-peak periods, the wait time is generally around 5 minutes, which is quite fast.
The hotel is garden-style, and most of the rooms are villa-style. It takes quite a bit of walking to get to the pool, beach, restaurant, and lobby. However, after staying for a day, you will find that it is not actually that far. If you are not carrying a suitcase, walking around does not take much time, and you can stroll around the hotel, which is like a scenic spot.
This hotel is very suitable for a laid-back vacation without rushing. The villa rooms are very spacious, and most balconies have a sea view (the view on the first floor may be obstructed, but there will be a yard).

Wanning, this beautiful land, made me fall in love. The Shenzhou Peninsula Grand Hyatt hotel we chose, right outside the door was a vast lawn, and further ahead, was the vast sea and the beautiful scenery of swaying coconut palms.

My friend used to work for Hyatt, and she also recommended us to experience it. She said that the Grand Hyatt in Wanning is the only all-villa Grand Hyatt in China.
The fact proves that our choice of Grand Hyatt is correct. Other star hotels in Wanning are a bit old. There are only Le Meridien and Westin in Shimei Bay, and only Grand Hyatt and Sheraton on the Shenzhou Peninsula. It's actually quite convenient to eat next to the Grand Hyatt. There is a residential area across the street (many are used as homestays), and there are some restaurants on the opposite street. Although there are not many delicious ones, it's enough.
And the Manning Surf Shop we chose this time is in the opposite community. After eating breakfast at the hotel in the morning, you can directly go to the opposite side. There is also a Fusheng Surfing there. It's very suitable to choose to surf on the Shenzhou Peninsula.
The disadvantage is that you really have to rely on the shuttle bus for travel unless you can accept walking for seven or eight minutes in the hot weather. But the current service speed is acceptable. The outdoor swimming pool that everyone said was closed has also been opened.
