[2024 Jeju Stay] Travel Guide for Grand Hyatt Jeju (Updated Nov)
If you're going to Jeju, you have to stay at the Grand Hyatt!
It was my first time in Jeju and I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt in the city center. It's convenient to get anywhere from here. The smallest room is 65 square meters and the double bed is 1.5 meters. It's the tallest hotel in Jeju and you can see the whole city from here. It has all the facilities you need, including an international buffet, Chinese food, Korean BBQ, Japanese food, hot pot, and more!
There's a shopping center on the 3rd and 4th floors, so you can stay in for 2 days. It's only a few hundred meters from the Shilla Duty Free and Lotte Duty Free, so you can enjoy shopping.
If you're going to Jeju, especially for the first time, I highly recommend staying at the Grand Hyatt!

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Jeju was excellent. The luxurious atmosphere and excellent service made my stay very comfortable. I enjoyed the beautiful ocean view and the spacious swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options, making each morning enjoyable. The hotel is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of Jeju Island. 🌴🌊 I highly recommend this beautiful place.

🚏Jeju Island Grand Hyatt Hotel
The hotel is located in the city center, which is convenient for dining, shopping, and car rental. The standard rooms are also 65㎡, and the supporting services and facilities are impeccable. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms offer views of the sea and Jeju Island's cityscape
【Eat】
🚏Acorn Kitchen
⏰Business hours 11:00-17:00
👨👩👧👧You may need to take a number when it's busy
💰Set meal with snacks ₩14000 (about ¥75)
This restaurant is very famous locally, and its signature dish is the green tangerine cold noodles. Buckwheat noodles topped with lots of tangerines, plus hand-ground wasabi and radish puree, make for a very refreshing meal
📍 59 Bukseong-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
🚏True Love Abalone Seafood Pot
Many friends online recommend this place, the ingredients are very fresh, but the price is a bit expensive. Actually, the price of this kind of seafood pot in Jeju Island is more or less the same, so if you want to experience live octopus and seafood pot, you can search nearby for a better value
💰 The abalone seafood pot we ordered ₩60000 (about ¥324)
🚏Alice cafe Alice's Snow Ice
This cafe is located next to a university, and many students come here to eat
Their signature is the matcha series, and the soy milk rice cake and chocolate flavors are also good. I ordered the strawberry matcha one, the snow ice has a great texture, and when you dig in, there are lots of fresh strawberries inside, paired with rich matcha sauce, delicious 😋
💰Average cost per person ¥60
🚏BHC Fried Chicken
If you've seen 'My Love from the Star', you should love their fried chicken! I ordered a combo of cheese and sweet and spicy fried chicken, both flavors were good, and the portion was enough for 2 people
⏰Business hours: 12:00-00:00
🚏Knotted bakery cafe
This place mainly serves doughnuts, the classic and Jeju Island green tea flavors are good
💰₩3500-3900 each (about ¥20 or so)
🚏24h Potato Pork Rib Soup
This place is popular with locals in the city. The bones are big and there's a lot of meat, stewed very soft and tender
1 person serving ₩9000 (about ¥48)
2-3 person serving ₩27000 (about ¥146)
3-4 person serving ₩34000 (about ¥183)
❗Must-visit on Udo Island❗
🚏BLANC ROCHER
Their peanut ice cream is delicious, the shop is very photogenic, and all the seats have a sea view, creating an unbeatable atmosphere
💰Ice cream ₩5000 (about ¥27)
There are many restaurants on the island where you can eat Haenyeo Bibimbap and seafood ramen, and the taste is more or less the same. It is recommended not to choose the ones near the port, as there are many people and long queues
🚏The one I ate at was Udo Stone House, located at 472 Coastal Road, just walk along the coastline on the left-hand side after getting off the boat and you'll see it
Seafood ramen ₩13000 (about ¥70)
Haenyeo Bibimbap ₩5000 (about ¥27)

Jeju Island's favorite hotel, without a doubt
❣️Visa-free! ✔️Super cheap flights! Cost-effective crushing a host of domestic tourist destinations, Jeju has once again become the choice of many people for short-term travel.
✈️It takes only about 1.5 hours to fly to Jeju Island from various places in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and the ticket price is seven or eight hundred yuan, which is really suitable for weekend or New Year's Day short-term travel.
📌Travel strategy
✔️Because public transportation on Jeju Island is not very convenient, it is a bit difficult for everyone to take the bus by themselves. There is only Korean, and the waiting time is longer. It is recommended to choose chartered cars, taxis or join a day tour. The day tour is the most economical, but it is not so free to arrange your own preferences; taking a taxi requires you to make a detailed strategy to save some money; the cost of a chartered car is the highest, but it is the most comfortable and the best travel experience.
✔️The best arrangement for attractions is to connect in the same direction. If you go to Jeju for the first time, Seongsan Ilchulbong must be arranged. On the same day, it is recommended to play in the east, and you can also arrange Udo, Sogeumgang, and Hamdeok Beach.
🇰🇷Accommodation: Jeju Grand Hyatt Hotel
The Grand Hyatt Hotel opened in 2020, located in Jeju City, only 10 minutes drive from the airport, there are many restaurants, convenience stores, large supermarket Emart, Shinsegae Duty Free Shop, and Yeondong Pedestrian Street nearby, within walking distance.
📸The hotel has a unique sea and sky skyline. As long as you stay on the high floor, you can see the plane taking off and landing on the sea level. There are also indoor swimming pools, outdoor swimming pools, children's playgrounds, restaurants, coffee shops, and the recent Christmas decorations are very romantic.

🇰🇷 Grand Hyatt Jeju city hotel
An awesome hotel in Jeju city and the lobby carpark has all the electric cars which are really to deployed for hotel guests. This is Grand Hyatt Jeju City hotel and there is a beautiful water fountain right outside the lobby. It is very near the Lotte shopping malls and the vibes here feel great too. I will want to try out this hotel the next time I come back. This hotel is a high building and the views look great. The water fountain had some shows ongoing when I was there. I like that they had laser shows and the led display of I love Jeju.

A Hotel in South Korea That's Totally Worth the Visit!!
Grand Hyatt Jeju is located in Jeju City, only a 5-minute drive from Jeju International Airport. It is situated in the heart of Jeju City and offers facilities such as an infinity pool, sauna, and fitness center.
Rooms at the Grand Hyatt Jeju are equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and more. In addition, the hotel also provides an indoor swimming pool and a spa center, allowing guests to fully enjoy their leisure time.

Jeju Island Travel Guide in South Korea
Jeju Island Travel Guide
♻️Geographical Location:
Jeju Island is located in the southern part of South Korea, surrounded by the blue sea and sky. The island boasts beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate, making it a place full of natural and cultural charm.
♻️Transportation Guide:
The most convenient way to get to Jeju Island is by plane. There are currently direct flights from Shanghai, Ningbo, Beijing, and Shenyang, and there may be more in the future. The round-trip airfare is estimated to be over 1000 yuan.
♻️Historical Sites:
Hallasan (Hallasan) - This is the highest peak on Jeju Island and the tallest mountain in South Korea; designated as a national park. You can choose to hike or take a cable car to the top to enjoy the magnificent natural scenery.
♻️Hanhwa Land (Hanhwa Land) - This theme park combines natural landscapes with amusement projects, making it very suitable for family fun. Here, you can enjoy water activities, ride roller coasters, and there are also many exciting amusement facilities.
The above two are ordinary attractions, but what I recommend the most is: Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is famous and fun, as well as Moonlit Lee; Yeomiji Botanical Garden, or in other words, many places in Jeju are unique and worth encountering.
♻️Food Recommendations:
Bibimbap (Bibimbap) - This is one of the most popular traditional Korean dishes, made up of vegetables, meat, and rice, mixed with chili paste for consumption. In Jeju Island, you can taste authentic stone pot bibimbap with a rich texture and delicious flavor.
♻️Jeju Black Pork (Jeju Black Pork) - Jeju Island is famous for its specialty black pork. This pork has a marbled texture and is very tender. You can choose to visit a local barbecue restaurant to taste this delicious dish.
There are also rice cakes, Dongmun Market, abalone, and more.
♻️Accommodation Recommendations:
For high-end hotels, I recommend three: the Grand Hyatt in the city center; the Camphor Tree near the city area; and the infinity pool hotel in Seogwipo.
♻️Guesthouse - If you like to be close to nature and experience local life, you can consider staying in a guesthouse on Jeju Island.
As an experienced traveler, besides the food, which is also not tiresome, consumption in South Korea is relatively high, generally 2-3 times that of domestic prices; in fact, the attractions are all classic, and occasionally a small coffee shop by the roadside is very Instagram-worthy;
♻️If you have a budget, try to choose a chartered car;
There are duty-free shops that offer free shuttle services;
Get to know interesting people and things in Jeju; or experience the seaside lighthouse, here is the sea, adjacent to the domestic, worth your visit
Do you like Jeju Island?

South Korea | Jeju Island | Must-Visit Hotels - Grand Hyatt Hotel
The last stop in Jeju still has to be the check-in at the Grand Hyatt, which is known as the largest in the Asia-Pacific region.
📍Location
Grand Hyatt Jeju Dream Tower Integrated Resort
A building you almost won't miss in the center of Jeju City
You can see it from anywhere in the city, so don't worry about not being able to find the hotel
🛏Room
Firstly, it's new, and secondly, there's no need to worry too much about the Grand Hyatt standard
The key point is the area! The smallest room is 65 square meters, spacious enough for 4 adults with twin beds
Just note 'high floor' when choosing a room, as there is almost no obstruction in the hotel
However, the high floors are really nice, not only can you see the whole panorama of Jeju City,
but the sunrise is truly stunning!
💦Facilities
All the 5-star standard facilities are there, gym, rooftop pool...
The rooftop local food stall restaurant is a bit of a surprise
It's probably the best scenic food stall I've experienced so far
Great value for money

Jeju Island, South Korea | Once you come, you won't want to leave
Dining
There are many famous cafes on Jeju Island, but each person is required to make a purchase, with prices ranging from 6k-10k; the average cost of a main meal is about 80-120r, with most foods being heavy and greasy, with a lot of sauce. If you're not used to it, you can go to a small Chinatown in the city. Here, I recommend the beef and octopus skewers and the orange juice at Dongmun Market
Very crispy and tender, and the portions are generous! (Superb)
Recommended attractions:
'Monthly Tidings'
A street full of cafes along the coast, with a variety of cafes, each with its own style. It's very pleasant to sit inside and drink coffee while looking at the sea.
Yayue Village has very clear water, with glass boats available for rowing. The GD cafe used to be nearby, and many cafes and restaurants by the sea are great for taking photos, attracting lots of people, especially young people taking pictures and checking in along the way.
Accommodation:
After comparing cost-effectiveness and location, I chose to stay at the Jeju Grand Hyatt Hotel in the city center. The service was really good and there was basically no problem with Chinese communication. The rooms are very spacious!
acrid.brianna
The Grand Hyatt Jeju Hotel is a perfect example of a winner-takes-all model for island living in South Korea
There are few international chain hotels to choose from on Jeju Island, South Korea, other than the somewhat unreliable JW Marriott and Marriott in the south, there's only the Grand Hyatt near the airport. This landmark twin-tower building is said to be not only the tallest on Jeju Island but also the largest Grand Hyatt in all of Asia.
With the stacking of Globalist benefits and suite upgrade certificates, check-in at the Grand Club led to an immediate upgrade to a top-floor suite. Although these are standard procedures, the lounge staff's earnest communication efforts in their not-so-fluent Chinese, along with various attentions and courtesies, still made us feel right at home.
The moment the door opened, we almost unanimously felt a sense of déjà vu, strikingly similar to the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, India. The same spacious living room with a long table for six and a rectangular full-length mirror standing beside it. The feeling of being attacked by those soon-to-be-blurred beautiful memories was just too wonderful. The guest room was exceptionally large, with one side entirely made up of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an excellent view that allowed us to gaze at Mount Halla and overlook the small city of Jeju at the same time.
The privileges for Globalist members include breakfast and evening happy hour at the Grand Club. Considering that breakfast in the downstairs restaurant comes at an additional charge, we thought the offerings might be perfunctory and planned to compare before deciding. However, the comfortable dining atmosphere and exquisite meals at the Grand Club made it impossible for us to hesitate even for a second. The evening happy hour was even more impressive, with four main courses and several side dishes and snacks, which could be considered a full meal. If there was any downside, it was that the place was too popular, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed.
The fitness center and indoor pool, compared to the generally underused state in domestic hotels, were quite busy here. No matter when you went, there was always a crowd working up a sweat.
Lastly, a few regrets. During check-in, they overcharged us due to a miscalculation. When I later discovered this and contacted them for a refund, the process was somewhat dragging and without any apology. During our stay, it was either windy or rainy, and the outdoor pool and facilities were all closed, so we missed out on seeing the visually appealing outdoor garden. Forced to stay in the room, through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, we could vaguely see others trapped like us, which was slightly awkward.
In summary, it's an excellent choice for a visit to Jeju. I hope the weather will be kinder to me next time.

What is it like to stay in the most expensive hotel in Jeju Island?
It's been over three years since I last traveled abroad. There was a package for the Grand Hyatt Jeju, which seemed pretty good, and Jeju Island is visa-free for Chinese passports, so we decided to go~ The stars in the sky are pointing to the Big Dipper~~
Preparation before departure
Flight: YQ Qianchunqiu Airlines has round-trip flights from Guangzhou to Jeju Island, but unfortunately it has not yet resumed. We decided to fly directly from Macau on the way there, and return to Guangzhou after a stroll in Shanghai.
Hotel: Depending on your budget, we recommend staying in the city. The Grand Hyatt Jeju we booked this time was pretty good.
Cash: For a 5-day trip, exchanging about 10W Korean won per person is enough. Visa/Master credit cards are essential, use them wherever possible. We ran out of cash later and had to exchange some via WeChat transfer from fellow Chinese.
Internet card: Look for the best-selling one on Taobao, set it up after getting off the plane, and you won't encounter any disconnections.
Shopping: Duty-free shop rebates are a must, and the best-selling ones on Taobao are always the right choice. The customer service explains everything in detail.
APPs: Papago (translation), KakaoT (taxi, can only be registered after arriving in Korea, cash payment option), Naver maps (navigation, need to download from the Korean region on Taobao).
PS: Be sure to print your round-trip itinerary and hotel accommodation form in advance for immigration inspection.
Grand Hyatt Jeju
The Grand Hyatt Jeju is located in the city center, about 15 minutes drive from the airport, and it's super convenient to travel, eat, and go to duty-free shops and supermarkets around.
The hotel is in the tallest building on Jeju Island, the Dream Tower, which combines entertainment, shopping, and accommodation. Even if you don't go out, there are plenty of activities for both adults and children.
Online reviews of this hotel are mixed, but based on our stay, it was pretty good overall. The room was clean and tidy, and there was daily housekeeping and replenishment, so it was not noisy or chaotic.
The hotel check-in time is fixed at three in the afternoon. We arrived on an early flight and were able to check in and store our luggage in advance. We could pick up our room card and luggage at the appointed time and go straight to our room.
Our room was on the 10th floor, with some of the view obstructed.
But the room was indeed spacious, with two large beds that could comfortably sleep four adults. The row of large wardrobes was clearly designed for ladies' dresses.
Another good thing about this hotel is that you don't need to bring a converter, as domestic plugs can be used directly.
The lighting in the bathroom was very bright, making it great for applying makeup. You'll look beautiful no matter what.
The super large bathtub was something we didn't get a chance to use due to our late returns every day. The amenities were still the familiar Balmain.

When it comes to hotels, room service is a must!

Room service is available 24 hours a day!!
🍽️ Recommended menu
• Seafood Jjamppong 45,000 won ⭐️
• Chicken 36,000 won
• White rice 3,000 won
I ate the chicken and jjamppong that were most popular in the reviews,
and it's the best in the world🥹🤤 I can't eat any other jjamppong anymore ••
The lobster was big, and there was a lot of seafood, so the price
was worth it!! I wanted to eat one more bowl ㅜㅡㅜ
You can easily order with the QR code on the table
And bring it to your doorstep! It's so comfortable, the view is pretty
And the food was delicious. I recommend this hotel ✨

🏊🏻♀️ Swimming Pool👙
• Hats are not required! You don't have to wear swimming caps or caps
• The indoor pool was quiet so it was nice to play ••✨
• The outdoor pool was okay because there were no people, but I think it would be difficult to swim if it's crowded during the peak season! The ratio of people taking pictures was 2 to 8
The hotel had a very satisfying room, and the pool was also great!
They provide free towels and bottled water, so you can just go and use it comfortably :)
I went in the evening and the sunset was really pretty ㅠㅠ
I plan to visit again on my next trip to Jeju 🫶🏻🤍
