Whenever we decide to take a break and stay overnight in Macau, we have always stayed at the Grand Coloane. Situated next to 黑纱沙滩 (Hac Sa Beach), you can get a wonderful view over the ocean from your window, every morning. Then, you can go downstairs, enjoy the delicious buffet breakfast, then go and take the shuttle bus/public bus to see some sights in Macau. You can come back to your hotel room and get ready for lunch if you want. Then, you can enjoy a 15–30 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) along Hac Sa Beach to eat at the renowned Fernando’s. After your long lunch, take a slow walk back to the hotel, get changed, and relax in the pool. If you wanted, you could even go golfing at the Golf Club which is right next to the Hotel and offers discounts to guests. Well trained Hotel employees made that extra effort to help and very knowledegable. Terraces could really be upgraded with some awning or canopy for shading for privacy and direct sunshine. Concrete probably better as exposure to typhoons is high. Just from window bay to the start of the angle going down. The rest is perfect. Bougainvilleas would be in planters to grown well not in medium pots as not a great potted climbing plants. Perhaps more hardy plants and outdoor lounge chair or comfy sofa would add style and more lux. As all private terraces are spacious, it would be a great addition to the beautifully kept landscape gardens on the property. Mood lighting option in bathrooms unavailable and romantic bath only all lights on or dark. Perhaps 2 switches for the ceiling and one for the vanity would make it more attractive as it is very nicely designed but lighting options are only in the bedroom area. I found out that the Grand Coloane Resort is the only hotel in Macau that is very far from the main city yet very relaxing & environmental friendly, everything is fresh in your eyes to come up with very satisfactory trip, vacation & stay.
