❤️ Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.

Venice is 'city of water', 'city of bridges', 'floating city' and 'city of masks'.
Well ... did Venice make it on my list of one of my most fav city in the world? Probably not!
But I must say that Venice have its own charm. The city itself is beautiful ... The architecture is amazingly unique and have loads of history.
Yeah ... It is a tourist town ... It is overcrowded, really expensive & constantly under renovation... But if you can look pass that you will enjoy Venice .
The main attraction here is Grand Canal, St. Mark Square, gandolas? and Rialto Bridge to name a few.
But for me the real gems is their outer Island - Lido, Burano, Murano AND wandering around back alleys in Venice, observing antique building & get lost! ... I consider myself quite good with directions but here the buildings looks similar and there's hundreds of bridge ... It's like walking in a maze ... You will get lost ... I mean really2 lost & it was so much fun!! But sooner or later you will know your way plus it's an island ... no matter how lost you are it's not like you can get off of it.
Wandering around you will find hidden treasure of Venice, antique places, watch local live their life and play ... Observing people ,their interaction and you will try to guess another person's story ... I love doing it .. When you travel you will met different people with different walk of life ... People watching is very insightful and informative way to know them. It allows you to observe humanity in all its diversity and similarity.
Anyway ... Some tips in Venice : when you first arrive and looking for your hotel pls prepare a map of your hotel location ... Wandering around in Venice is fun ... But walking clueless for hours with heavy backpack is no fun ... Every shops have a business card ask for it ... usually they got a map on that card ... That's how you know exactly where you are ... Don't eat at table outside a restaurant ... Eat inside or take away ... It's cheaper ... Don't eat at places with 20 different languages on the menu or didn't show a price at all ... You'll end up pay a fortune.
Pagi ini kami bergerak ke destinasi seterusnya : Florence
Ciao!!

€2 Gondola Ride in Venice
Instead of forking out a minimum of €80 for a 25-30 minute ride on a gondola in Venice, did you know you can have the full gondola experience across the Grand Canal in Venice for just 2.5% of the cost?
This is all made possible if you go to ‘Gondola Traghetto’ which is only a short walk away from the famous Rialto Bridge. You don’t need to book in advance, just join a relatively small queue of people (even in the summer), pay €2 and hop on the gondola.
There are a couple of drawbacks to this, one being you’ll be sharing the gondola with a number of strangers rather than renting a private gondola for your party. Secondly the gondola trip only lasts roughly 3 minutes as you simply cross the canal rather than travel along it.
If neither of these things put you off then this is definitely a bargain and a must do on your trip to one of the most magical cities in Europe.

Venice, I’m gondola miss you
Venice is one of Italy’s most picturesque cities. Beautiful floating palaces of stone surrounded by an ancient network of canals. Venice is one of the most popular Italian cities for tourists, even with all the other beautiful & historic places there are in Italy. There are basically no roads, transportation is accomplished via boats on a confusing network of canals. It’s truly unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before!
Here, we explored Saint Mark’s Square. Also called Piazza San Marco, it is Venice’s main public square, basically the social heart of the city. There are a bunch of famous landmarks here, like the Clock Tower, St. Mark’s Basilica. Then, the The Grand Canal, which is the most important channel running through the city. Many of these buildings can only be accessed by boat. We also visited the St. Mark's Basilica, the most famous of Venice’s churches and the cathedral of the Patriarchate of Venice. As a lavish and much-beloved symbol of Venetian history, it’s totally worth a stop.
Overall, Venice is worth visiting. Venice is an enchanting city that casts visitors under an intoxicating spell. It’s dreamy and romantic, with an undercurrent of mystery and drama. Venice is such a special place to the point that it almost doesn’t feel real. There's so much to see, and it’s so perfect.

there are a lot of major tourist spots along the grand canal, we enjoyed ourselves spending time here. there are lots of amazing moments when the Sun flashes on the canal, and it was a great experience when we walked on the bridges to see the boats and gon gondola pass by. It is also a good way to see Venice with the amazing buildings you cannot visit there without seeing the Grand Canal! There’s so much to see over there, and we had a wine and food, walking tour and walked around market, this is just an amazing city ❤️❤️

Gondole Ride Grand Canal Venice Italy 🇮🇹
The Gondole Ride in Italy is absolutely iconic and if it happens to be your first time in Italy or specifically Venice it is irreplaceable.
The ride through the Grand Canal is incredibly scenic and tranquil.
You will see many other boats passing by and you will be transported through different parts of Venice that a tourist would love to see including the older historic buildings and more.
I personally enjoyed our tour guide who was giving us a history lesson as we were looking in awe on the water.
It is worth it and once again if you happen to be in Venice make sure that this particular thing you do.
You won’t forget the Gondole Ride.

The famous Grand Canal in Venice, Italy is one of the most picturesque spots in the city. Traditional poled gondolas dot the waterway makng for a unique and unforgettable experience for all visiting tourists.

When thinking of Venice I think of the velvet-padded gondolas. It is an obvious and cliché choice of experiencing Venice. The ride through the winding Grand Canal is elegant, slow, with unusual silence permitted by the absence of cars and beautiful views of pastel old buildings with entrances on the canal's side. Same (or even better) is if you're staying in an apartment with a balcony above the canal with singing gondoliers paddling below you every few minutes. Oh, la dolce vita.
Your Passport
Made of velvet-padded gondolas, scenic bridges & canals, beautiful balconies with matching flowers, architectural masterpieces of floating palaces, cicchetti & bellini gatherings... Any girl will begun to feel La ‚Dolce Vita‘ the moment you arrive to Venice. The most romantic city in the world is not to be missed and definitely must be experienced with your soulmate.

Venice Vibes , Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Venice, Italy, exudes a unique and enchanting vibe that captivates visitors from the moment they arrive. Known as the “City of Canals,” Venice is a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets, picturesque piazzas, and iconic waterways. The city’s charm lies in its timeless beauty, where centuries-old architecture meets the serenity of gliding gondolas. Strolling along the Grand Canal, visitors are treated to views of magnificent palaces and historic buildings, many of which reflect in the water, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
The famous Rialto Bridge and the majestic Piazza San Marco, with its grand basilica and towering Campanile, offer glimpses into the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. Venice is also known for its vibrant arts scene, with galleries, museums, and the world-renowned Venice Biennale showcasing both classical and contemporary works.
But it’s not just the landmarks that give Venice its magical vibe—it’s the quiet, intimate moments: the sound of footsteps on cobblestone streets, the smell of fresh coffee wafting from a café, the soft light of sunset casting a golden hue over the canals. Venice is a city of romance, mystery, and beauty, where every corner seems to hold a story waiting to be discovered.

Venice, Italy 🇮🇹
Venice, Italy, is a city of unparalleled beauty and intrigue, built on over 100 islands in the Venetian Lagoon. Renowned for its canals, gondolas, and historic charm, Venice feels like stepping into a living work of art. The Grand Canal, Venice’s main waterway, is lined with magnificent palaces and grand old buildings, showcasing the city’s rich history as a powerful maritime republic.
At the heart of Venice is Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square), home to the breathtaking St. Mark’s Basilica, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, and the Doge’s Palace, a symbol of Venetian political might. Magnificent city -Venice-
Venice is a magnificent city located in the northeast of Italy, on the Adriatic Sea coast, famous for its canals. It is built on hundreds of small islands, connected to each other by bridges. You can see the romantic atmosphere of the city, its historical buildings and unique canal views.
The places to visit in Venice are St. Mark's Square and the famous St. Mark's Basilica. Venice by Day and Night
During the day in Venice, I wander through the narrow alleys and canals, admiring the colorful buildings. With a leisurely pace, I stroll through this small city.
At sunset, I sit on a small boat and feel the passage of time and the changing scenery.
At night, the lights reflect on the water, creating a shimmering effect. The romantic atmosphere makes me feel as if I'm in a dream.

I just spent a few days in Venice, and it was an unforgettable experience! 🌉 From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the enchanting canals, winding streets, and stunning architecture. I took a vaporetto ride down the Grand Canal, which cost around €7.50 for a single trip, but it was worth it for the views of the iconic palaces and bridges.
One of my favorite spots was St. Mark’s Square, where I enjoyed a coffee while listening to live music from nearby cafes. The entrance to St. Mark’s Basilica is free, but I opted for the €5 audio guide, which really enriched my visit. Don’t miss the Rialto Market for a taste of local life and fresh seafood! Venice is a magical place that feels like stepping into a painting, and I can’t wait to return!

Venice: The Floating City of Dreams
#100waysoftravel #awesomepic #italy #venice
Venice, known as “La Serenissima,” is a city steeped in rich history and stunning beauty. Founded in the 5th century by refugees fleeing barbarian invasions, it began as a cluster of islands in the Venetian Lagoon. The original inhabitants built their homes on stilts to protect themselves from flooding and invasions. By the 9th century, Venice had transformed into a powerful maritime republic, thriving on trade with the Byzantine Empire and later the Ottoman Empire. The city’s strategic location allowed it to flourish as a cultural and economic hub, leading to a golden age during the Renaissance, marked by exquisite art, architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene. The rise of merchant families and the establishment of trade routes solidified Venice’s wealth and influence. Despite its decline in the 18th century, following its annexation by Napoleon in 1797, Venice has preserved its unique charm and historical significance, attracting millions of visitors each year.
Visitors to Venice are greeted by its iconic canals and bridges, with the Grand Canal serving as the city’s main waterway. This serpentine canal is lined with stunning palaces and historic buildings, providing a picturesque backdrop for a vaporetto ride (water bus). A gondola ride through the serene waters offers a romantic experience and a glimpse into the city’s past, with beautifully preserved structures showcasing Venetian Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The gondoliers, often dressed in traditional striped shirts, guide visitors through narrow side canals, revealing hidden gems and local life.
A highlight of any visit is the Piazza San Marco, or St. Mark’s Square, the heart of Venice. Here, the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica stands out with its stunning domes and intricately detailed façade, adorned with golden mosaics that tell biblical stories. Inside, the basilica features a lavish interior, including the famous Pala d’Oro, a golden altar screen encrusted with jewels. Adjacent to the basilica is the Doge’s Palace, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Once the residence of the Doge (the chief magistrate of Venice), it showcases the city’s political history through its grand halls, ornate ceilings, and the iconic Bridge of Sighs, which connects the palace to the prison.
Art lovers should not miss the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, a modern art museum housed in a former palazzo on the Grand Canal. The museum features works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Pollock, and Dalí, reflecting the artistic movements of the 20th century. Additionally, the Rialto Bridge, the oldest and most famous bridge spanning the Grand Canal, offers spectacular views and a bustling market filled with fresh produce, seafood, and local crafts. The area around the bridge is lively, with street performers and shops that capture the essence of Venetian life.
Side tip: I stayed across the island for cheap stays and took bus/train to enter the island.

#100WaysOfTravel
I took a gondola and the Golden Grand Canal cruise.
Gondola takes five people in a boat for more than 20 minutes, shuttles through the water streets, and finally rows to the Grand Canal.
The Golden Grand Canal cruise is a slightly larger speedboat. It takes 20 or 30 minutes to go around the Grand Canal and end at the railway station. Unlike the gondola, you can see the whole picture of Venice. The buildings on both sides have stories and history. It's amazing to see the buildings hundreds of thousands of years ago.
It is rumored that Venice will sink in a hundred years. In fact, the water level is already very high. The water level of many buildings has reached half of the door. Look at it and cherish it.#ancienttown

Venice Travel Guide | Personally compiled after staying up late, sharing with everyone
| Personally compiled after staying up late, sharing with everyone. Venice is truly a city full of beautiful scenery, with surprises at every corner! Although there are many tourists, its romance and uniqueness are irreplaceable. Definitely worth experiencing in person!
Must-visit attractions:
St. Mark's Square: The first stop in Venice! The square is huge, with lots of pigeons 🐦, surrounded by magnificent buildings. Visit in the early morning or at dusk when there are fewer people, perfect for taking photos. In the evening, there are live violin performances in the square, creating a wonderful atmosphere!
Grand Canal: Take a water bus along the Grand Canal to fully experience the unique charm of Venice 🚤. I sat at the back of the boat, feeling the breeze, watching the palaces and bridges pass by, super romantic!
Rialto Bridge: One of the oldest bridges in Venice, the view of the canal from the bridge is particularly beautiful 🌉. I stayed on the bridge for a long time, and even casual photos turned out great! There are many small shops nearby with unique souvenirs.
Burano Island: The colorful houses on the island look like a fairy tale world, super cute 🌈! I took a bunch of photos, the colors are very vibrant, showcasing a different kind of beauty in Venice.
Food recommendations:
Seafood pasta: The seafood in Venice is really fresh 🦞! I ordered a squid ink pasta at a restaurant, it looked a bit strange being black but tasted very delicious, full of ocean flavor.
Italian gelato: There are gelato shops everywhere 🍦, and I had it several times. Vanilla and pistachio flavors are highly recommended, perfect for cooling down in hot weather!
Transportation recommendations:
Walking + water bus: Venice is actually not very big, and most attractions can be covered on foot 🚶♂️. When tired, take a water bus for a leisurely tour.
Gondola: Experience a gondola ride, although a bit pricey, it's very romantic at sunset 🌅. The gondolier will explain along the way, offering a different perspective of Venice.
Accommodation recommendations:
Venice Canal Grand Hotel: Stay by the canal, with a water view right outside the window in the morning 🏨. The hotel's restaurant is also great, and you can enjoy breakfast outdoors while feeling the morning of Venice.
Venice Rainbow Hotel: Not far from St. Mark's Square, a small hotel hidden in an alley 🛏️. The rooms are cozy, reasonably priced, perfect for travelers who enjoy a leisurely pace.
Personal tips:
Avoid peak crowds: Venice is very crowded with tourists, so it's advisable to go out early or return to the hotel late ⏰. Venice is much quieter in the early morning and evening, offering a great experience.
Rely on your own navigation: There are many small alleys, and phone navigation is often inaccurate 📍. Getting lost is common, but don't worry, it's part of the fun of exploring Venice!
Photography tips:
Capture water reflections: The water scenery and reflections everywhere in Venice are particularly dreamy in photos 📸. In the morning light and sunset, the whole city turns golden, perfect for photography.

… Here’s a guide.
Do you remember the depiction of Venice in our elementary school textbooks by Mark Twain? The "Pearl of the Adriatic" is truly the most romantic city in the world . The crisscrossing canals, the colorful Italian architecture, and the unique city atmosphere all make its beauty astonishing… Here’s a summarized route for checking in at Venice~ The camera positions are ready~ Sisters, let’s go
Tour route: Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia (train station) 🔜 Rialto Bridge 🔜 St. Mark's Square (Florian Café, Bell Tower) 🔜 Bridge of Sighs 🔜 Accademia Bridge
📸 Photo spots
1️⃣ Bridge of Sighs: It looks great from both sides through the bridge hole. It is said that true lovers who pass under the bridge will have eternal love
2️⃣ St. Mark's Square: The flying white pigeons, the leisurely tourists drinking tea, and the musicians playing music create a relaxed picture. Florian Café is also here If you want to overlook Venice, you can climb the St. Mark's Bell Tower…
3️⃣ Rialto Bridge: A romantic and gorgeous pedestrian bridge
4️⃣ Accademia Bridge: The distant view is really beautiful . The staggered water buildings, the busy Grand Canal, and the swaying gondolas are what I imagine Venice to be like
Avoid: Libreria Acqua Alta The owner seems a bit racist He kept babbling a lot at the entrance, saying they only sell Italian books and there’s nothing interesting The whole place was full of non-Italians, why only babble at Asians… We just wanted to buy a fridge magnet, speechless… I saw posts before where sisters encountered racist staff at this store, seems like a habitual offender! Everyone, avoid
🍛 Food: The island's specialty is seafood 🍤~ We tried fried seafood, seafood pasta, and gelato from a century-old shop~ The taste was pretty good ~ You can choose nearby options~

Enjoy Venetian cuisine, especially fresh seafood, at canalside restaurants.
Summer tip
To make the most of your visit, plan to explore major attractions early in the morning or late in the afternoon. This not only helps you avoid the busiest times but also allows you to experience the city in a more relaxed atmosphere. Stay cool by wearing light clothing, staying hydrated, and taking frequent breaks for gelato. Wandering off the main tourist paths will also lead you to discover quieter, hidden gems.
