Golden Bauhinia Square 🌷✨
Golden Bauhinia Square one of the most famous spots in Hong Kong. The square was named after the giant statue of a golden Bauhinia blakeana at the centre of the area, situated outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. ⭐️
The golden monument Forever Blooming Bauhinia Sculpture, which was a gift from China to commemorate the handover, is on display.
It is shaped like the bountiar flower, which is also the symbol of Hong Kong and is also depicted on the flag. People come here to enjoy the view, the sea breeze and to do their activities. 👀
It's a nice sculpture located at the convention center and at the heart of the waterfront overlooking the other side of Hong Kong. ❤️

Victoria Harbour in a cloudy day
The sky is not always blue, sunlight does not always directly shine on the earth.
There could be clouds and shades. But it should not affect your mood.
It is now the perfect weather in HK - most people find it the best time of the year, other than the short autumn.
Best time to be outdoor - here the Wanchai promenade, behind the convention center and next to the Golden Bauhinia Square, is a good place to relax and chill, to run and walk a cat :)

Wan Chai on a rainy morning still has beautiful sites
In Hong Kong, sometimes the weather can change quickly. Although it has rained a lot in the past week, the forecast was clear for most of yesterday and all of today, so I decided to go to Tsim Sha Tsui. I got the MTR via Admiralty and went through the new Exhibition Centre MTR Station. It started raining heavily just as I reached the Golden Bauhinia Statue. I managed to get some nice pictures with the rain in the background as the sun was shining through the rain clouds. Then, I walked along the Wan Chai Promenade to take the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui.
(Next post is about Tsim Sha Tsui)

golden bauhinia square
It is considered a tourist attraction. The sculpture, a gilded flower bauhinia, is six metres high. The major part is composed of a bauhinia on a base of red granite pillar on a pyramid. The sculpture is deemed an important symbol for the Hong Kong people after the handover.
The flower of the Bauhinia blakeana orchid tree, named after a former governor of Hong Kong, was chosen as the colony's emblem more than 50 years ago. “Hongkong Orchid Tree Flower Is Colony Emblem,” ran the headline in the South China Morning Post 52 years ago this week, on January 20, 1965.#親子好去處 #香港好去處 #全球旅行

Symbol of Gorgeous Hong Kong
#hongkongtrip
Golden Bauhinia Square is an open area in the Wan Chai region. The attraction was named after a giant statue of a golden flower, a type of orchid "bauhinia blekiana".
The sculpture, a gilded bauhinia flower six meters high, is mounted on a cylindrical base of red granite with a pyramidal base. The monument was created in 1997 in honor of China's acquisition of Hong Kong. There are nine sparkling Chinese characters carved on the pedestal, inscribed by the head of the central government of China, Jiang Zemin.
On the first, eleventh and twenty-first day of each month, the police guard of honor in full uniform holds a flag-raising ceremony. The process is accompanied by the performance of the police orchestra, which plays the national anthem, and after the end of the official part – other music for about ten minutes.
The Golden Bauhinia Square is one of the most visited places by domestic and foreign tourists. In the evening, the playground is a great place to see the popular "Symphony of Lights", a light show on the walls of the surrounding skyscrapers. Just below there is a 400-meter embankment with a beautiful view of Victoria Harbor. Speaking in regards to Victoria Harbour itself, not a mentioning fact, that this is most beautiful harbour in Hong Kong, but charming place to take a walk at late evening as well. I think that views from Golden Bauhinia Square look more attractive compared to those from opposite side. Located between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, Victoria Harbor, also known as Victoria Bay, is the largest harbor in China and the third largest in the world after San Francisco in the United States and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
The long alley along the bay starting from the Golden Bauhinia Square shall be considered as a great choice for walking or jigging. Such a breathtaking views are opening from here.

The sunset in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
It's already beautiful to have such a sunset in winter. Seeing the good weather in the afternoon, I rushed to Causeway Bay with my friends to shoot the sunset. In addition to the high-altitude bar in Causeway Bay, this overpass must be the simplest and most beautiful place to shoot the sunset. There are many compositions. The specific address is at the end.
