I was transported back in time at the Gladstone Pottery Museum. The bottle ovens are impressive and amazing to look at! I learned a lot about the history of pottery making here and I never knew that Stoke-on-Trent is the capital of pottery industry in the UK which goes back to seventeenth century. The area is called The Potteries which is the location of big names like Wedgwood, Spode, Emma Bridgewater to name a few. Too bad I didn’t have the time to visit another factory.
