[2025 Seoul Stay] Travel Guide for Glad Hotel Mapo (Updated Feb)

This time I went to Korea and chose the 'Seoul Mapo Glad Hotel' which has been recommended by many people recently because I mainly stayed near Hongdae. Transportation It's very convenient to take the airport line subway directly to the hotel after getting off the plane. The hotel is right at Exit 9 of Gongdeok Station~ Since Gongdeok is a major station with three lines, it's easy to get to places like Hongdae, Myeongdong, and Dongdaemun. The only downside is that because it's a major station, you need to walk a bit inside the station Cost-effectiveness 🤓 If you book a week in advance, it will be cheaper. Non-weekend rates are around 500. Hotel Environment and Facilities The hotel has a great design and the rooms are not small. There is a dressing table, a small sofa, and the minibar thoughtfully provides two face masks. The bed is also very comfortable~ The lobby is on the L floor and there is a convenience store open until 2 AM. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as the hotel does not provide them Overall, this popular hotel is really great~ Super satisfied 😍👍

There are restaurants near the hotel where you can eat local food, and there are coffee shops and convenience stores around. The hotel is in simple black and white style and is clean overall. However, the hotel does not provide disposable toiletries, so you need to bring your own. Very last minutes trip & first solo trip to SEOUL Enjoying the weather… really love winter season😍 But I would say is not easy trip for me as I sprained my ankle 1week before my trip and it’s actually quite serious. So I have to travel with my injured ankle🥲 When I check in at the airport I just realise I submitted wrong information for my K-ERA🥴🥴 I have to resubmit new one and pending for new approval😫 luckily it approved within 45min and there go my KOREA solo trip🙏🙏 Fun country to discover around although I don’t speak Korea and dont understand the language.. enjoying the local food, walking around for local traditional market, shopping the supermarket 👍🏻 But I think I won’t go for Seoul again for solo unless with friend. I don’t mind to discover other place if Korea myself but definitely not SEOUL. 😉

It connects directly to Seoul Station (1 stop way), Gimpo Airport, Incheon Airport, and Hongdae shopping area (1 stop away). It is seated right on top of Gongdeok Station, so it's very easy to get to this hotel from the airport or even ktx station using the airport line. There are plenty of eateries around the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel lobby served a very good buffet. Hotel guests are entitled to a discount when dining in. This hotel is conveniently located at Gongdeok station exit 9. Literally right outside the exit. Also it only takes around 50 mins without the need to get wet even if it rains from incheon airport to Gongdeok station and vice versa. Another convenient thing is, there is a 7-11 on the lobby floor so whatever thing u need u can grab over there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The Beaudiani shampoo and conditioner is worth mentioning. It makes your hair so smooth and silky, not oily at all. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
