A Whimsical Day at the Ghibli Museum 🇯🇵
Step into the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli at this incredible museum that many fans dream of visiting. Here are some of my tips to enjoy your day~
🎫 Tickets are 1000¥ and go on sale on the 10th of each month at 10am. It is DIFFICULT to get tickets, but keep refreshing the page and you’ll get through eventually!
🚇 The museum is located in Mitaka, in the outskirts of Tokyo. Take the JR Chuo Line to JR Mitaka Station. Use the South Exit and walk 15 minutes to the museum.
🏡 The museum itself was designed by Hayao Miyazaki and it feels like stepping into a Ghibli movie. There are so many details and hidden references to the films!
🎨 Inside the museum, most areas are photography restricted ~ so you really have to go and see for yourself! There are many rough sketches and storyboards of ideas for Ghibli movies, it’s all so interesting and exciting to read about.
🎥 The Saturn Theatre shows short Studio Ghibli films that cannot be seen anywhere else. Entrance is included with your ticket. I got to watch ‘Boro the Caterpillar’ and it was so cute!
🌳 As you go outside and up the spiral staircase, there is a life-size 5 metre tall statue of a robot soldier from Castle in the Sky. It’s a perfect photo opportunity and many people line up to get their shot!
🌟 To finish off your day at the Ghibli Museum, check out the Straw Hat Cafe and the souvenir shop. I truly had a wonderful day here and I would definitely go again!

The Ghibli Museum is a museum located in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan, dedicated to the works of the renowned Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli. The museum features exhibits and displays related to the making of animated films, including original artwork, sketches, and models from some of Studio Ghibli's most popular films.
We were determined to visit this museum and, thus, parked ourselves at the website to make advance reservations. It was stressful, but well, a visit to the museum made it so worth the effort.
We managed to explore the museum's permanent collection, which includes a replica of the studio's animation room. The rooftop garden featuring a life-sized robot from the film Castle in the Sky." was impressive. The museum also screens short films exclusive to the museum, which are not available anywhere else. we fell in love with this museum, and if we are coming back to Tyoko, we will be sure to make an effort again to secure the advance reservations again!

Going into Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tale world
A long time ago, I went to the Ghibli Art Museum. This time my friend came to Tokyo to play, please help me to buy a ticket, so I accompanied them to Ghibli again.
First talk about how the Ghibli Museum buys tickets
buy tickets has always been a headache for the Ghibli Museum, because they only have an appointment system. Basically 10th of the 10th of each month
Mio..
I have been very fond of watching Hayao Miyazakis anime works since I was a child. I used to think about animation majors. Finally, I studied interior design.
Before going to Tokyo, I said that I must go to the Ghibli Art Museum and round my own anime dream.
About the Raiders of the Art Museum, I will introduce it in detail today.
Ghibli is the studio name of the famous Japanese animation master Hayao Miyazaki, by Miyazaki The "Three Eagles of the Ghibli Art Museum" designed by Jun.
The difference between it and other art museums is that the structure of the venue is more like a small labyrinth. It doesn't need to be visited according to the rules. Every place in the museum reflects the Ghibli animation designer. Ingenuity, naturally there are many precious manuscripts and movie scenes to reproduce, you can also see the short film that Ghibli specially created for this museum.
Tickets:
is the mode of booking tickets, preferably one month in advance. It is more convenient, although it will be a little more expensive than the fare, but the picture is easy.
fare: Adult, college student: Japanese currency 1

If you are interested in Hayashi Miyazaki's Sanyingsen Art Museum, you will probably like this place. Japan Hamamatsu-Wangsensen is a dreamland created by Japanese architects through his own imagination. The European town style is a popular place in the local area. There are 8 parts in the warm forest, including: dessert shop, restaurant, small gallery, living debris shop, handmade gift room, owl cafe, handmade leather shop and small accessories. shop.
Come to this "warm forest", at first glance it looks really extraordinary, the fairy-tale buildings make me feel that I have come to the home of the Hobbits, and the buildings of various shops are also in accordance with The sculpt in the fairy tales is carefully constructed and there is a feeling of crossing the warm fairy village.

Tokyo Three-Day In-Depth Tour: Urban Scenery and Cultural Experience
A three-day trip to Tokyo is full of surprises! On the first day, after arriving, we headed to the new landmark in Roppongi, 'Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.' This place combines art, design, and shopping, offering a panoramic view of the city that is both relaxing and inspiring. Next, we visited Zojoji Temple and Tokyo Tower. The ancient feel of Zojoji Temple contrasts sharply with the modern vibe of Tokyo Tower, especially at sunset, making the scenery particularly stunning. In the evening, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine at a hidden izakaya in Azabu Juban, with delicious yakitori and sake.
On the second day, we went to Kichijoji early in the morning. We took a walk in Inokashira Park, where the lake and autumn leaves create a picturesque scene. Then we strolled through Kichijoji Shopping Street, which has both traditional shops and trendy cafes. We also tasted handmade desserts at a popular donut shop. In the afternoon, we moved to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, where the whimsical and magical setup captivates both fans and regular visitors. In the evening, we returned to Shibuya and stood on the newly built Shibuya Sky observation deck, watching the bustling intersection and feeling the lively atmosphere of Tokyo.
The third day was more relaxed. In the morning, we visited the teamLab Borderless digital art exhibition in Odaiba, immersing ourselves in a world of light and sound, as if entering another dimension. Then we took a walk in Odaiba Seaside Park, overlooking the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay, with a view that is truly refreshing. At noon, we enjoyed food at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba and saw the life-sized Gundam model, which was very impressive. Finally, we returned to Tokyo Station, visited the classic red brick station building, and shopped for Tokyo Banana and other specialty souvenirs in the underground shopping street. The entire trip was both relaxing and memorable, showcasing the endless charm of Tokyo!

Friends, 9 yuan to see Ghibli, are you crazy!
Babies, amazing news!
The first large-scale exhibition in Ghibli's history is grandly launched, and the first stop is actually in Shanghai👏
This exhibition is simply a super luxurious lineup,
3 pavilions linked ➕ 24 exhibition areas,
2800 square meters of fantasy world,
directly creating the annual summer vacation check-in holy land!!
What's even more surprising is,
a 6-meter giant Totoro is right at the entrance of the exhibition hall,
the scene is simply too shocking✨
Yubaba's bathhouse is in Shanghai,
you can also play games and draw lots with No-Face,
the key point is, you can start this dreamy journey for only 9 yuan, this is too worth it,
babies hurry up💥

Ghibli Museum
#japantrip A wonderful place to visit.
The museum focuses on how the films are put together rather than the characters of the films.
Sadly, there are no photos of the inside as they are not allowed.
The Restaurant had a long queue and the food was good.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The cinema showed a short film which was enjoyable.
The museum is a 25 minute walk from the station or a short bus ride.
You must buy tickets in advance as there are none on the door. It is best to book these as early as you can as there are a limited number.
Definitely recommended and worth the grief of booking

Ghibli Museum in Tokyo: A Must-Visit for Fans
I recommend booking in advance from Korea for the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo.
The experience is well worth the effort of securing a reservation.
If you fail to book through the official website, there are also options like booking services or tours that include admission tickets.
On the day of my visit, they were also showing a free behind-the-scenes video of Totoro, which allowed for a unique viewing experience.
They even give you a ticket that looks like a film strip.
There's an exhibition hall that replicates the actual workspace of the artist, and you can also see various sketches.
It felt like I was truly inside the world of Ghibli, which was incredibly delightful.

Ghibli Museum, Mitaka
For many, the animated films of Hayao Miyazaki are a gateway to a lifelong fascination with Japanese culture. From the emerald rice paddies of My Neighbor Totoro to the steamy bathhouse of Spirited Away, the images of Miyazaki’s films, produced by his company Studio Ghibli, leave a lasting impression on viewers young and old.
The Ghibli Museum is the whimsical counterpart to the Studio Ghibli production arm. Here, visitors are immersed in the world created by Miyazaki and his talented team. Spiraling iron staircases, a soaring entrance hall and stained glass emblazoned with familiar movie characters mark the visitor’s transition from the outside environment to the fantastical one inside. While perhaps the most significant, it is one of many places in Japan inspired by Studio Ghibli and its anime heritage.

Studio Ghibli Exhibit
#japantrip Tips and things to know if you're planning to visit the Studio Ghibli Exhibit at the Yokosuka Museum Of Art. 👀
1. Connect to the museum wifi, Yokosuka MOA, (password is 12345678) right away and check with the staff as you enter that you can use your phone to translate the signs and displays. The staff told me this would be alright when I asked. Otherwise there is no English brochure or audio tour to explain what you are observing.
2. Most places do not allow pictures. These areas are well marked to let you know if pictures are or aren't allowed.
3. Put your name on the restaurant waiting list ahead of time if there is a long line and you plan to eat there.
5. Your Studio Ghibli Exhibit tickets are only for that exhibit, not the Giant Robot exhibit or any of the other museum exhibits.
6. 🚗 Bring your parking ticket into the museum to have it validated by the museum staff, you will receive one free hour of parking.
7. Once you go through the exhibit, you'll reach the spot to receive a fortune (from the large witch's head!) and then the Ghibli store, then you're done!
8. There were a lot of people in the exhibit when we went. I would not recommend bringing a stroller (they may not be allowed). I also wouldn't say this is young children friendly as it's not very interactive.

The Amazing Ghibli Museum
#japantrip The Ghibli Museum was a beautiful work of art! This museum was full of references to the amazing Ghibli movies, and it was filled with amazing exhibits. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed inside, but all of the displays were truly out of this world. One of the best parts was watching a random short film. We watched A Sumo Wrestler’s Tail, which I highly recommend for its beautiful animation and fun story. Just seeing a glimpse into the filmography of these pieces was incredible. We were also fortunate enough to see some of the emerging cherry blossoms in the neighboring park. Do not miss out on this fabulous museum!

Ghibli Museum
#thingstodo The most magical place I've ever been to! You get to witness how a film is made, and everything is incredibly beautiful. There are so many details to be found in every corner of the museum. If you enjoy Ghibli, design, motion, or anything related to film creation, I highly recommend it. I will definitely be back again. If you are a fan of Ghibli, you must come visit here. It is really hard to get the ticket. However, it is totally worth trying hard to get one. It is not a big place to enjoy. Small but overwhelming. You can watch a special Ghibli video for around 15 minutes. You can buy a limited version of Ghibli goods. Also, learning about how anime is being made. Things to learn, things to buy, things to eat, and things to be memorable.

Ghibli Museum
This museum is the heart of the Studio Ghibli world, a beloved (even 'adored') film studio responsible for classic, critically-acclaimed animated titles like Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Ponyo and Princess Mononoke, among countless others. Unlike Disney World, this is a museum, not a theme park, but the levels of fandom on show are likely to be just as intense.
You have to buy tickets a month in advance. Tourists have a hard time buying them.
In 2024, I want to start watching anime.

Just had a whimsical day at the Ghibli Museum in Japan! 🌟 The 2,000 JPY entrance fee felt like a golden ticket to the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli. 💸
The museum is straight out of a Miyazaki masterpiece – from the magical architecture to the life-sized characters, every corner is a visual feast. 🏰 The Catbus from "My Neighbor Totoro" was a dream come true for fans of all ages! 🐱🚌

The Saturn Theater screening was a highlight – watching a Ghibli short film in a cozy, magical setting felt like stepping into the animation itself. 🎬
Mitaka, where the museum is located, has the Inokashira Park nearby – a serene spot for a post-Ghibli stroll. And don't miss the Ghibli-themed cafe for a Totoro-shaped treat! 🌳🍵 #GhibliMagic #MiyazakiDreams #TokyoAdventure #AnimeWonderland

The Ghibli Museum is a great experience for young and old alike and is a popular attraction in Tokyo.
The unusual and quirky architecture of the Ghibli Museum, which was created to mirror the vivid and fanciful worlds described in Studio Ghibli's films, is one of the reasons why the museum is so well-known, in addition to the exhibits that it houses.
Tickets however can be difficult to get as you need to reserve well in advance.
Highly recommended as this is truly a unique experience!
My rating of this attraction: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

A gem not to be missed when you travel to Japan! It featured the production and making of the anime so I believed the reason of no photography allowed inside was to let visitors experienced with their own eyes!! Hard to get the tickets so need to camp early online and we were to lucky to get the tickets eventually ❤️ no regrets to visit at all.. we also sat in the theatre to watch a short cartoon of Totoro as well. A very pretty place inside!!!

I haven't seen My Neighbor Totoro yet, but my friends a huge fans, so they really dragged me here. The Ghibli Museum showcases works of the famous Japanese animation studio named Studio Ghibli. It is in Mitaka, Tokyo. Even though I am not a fan of their shows, I still enjoyed the whole tour because this museum is like 3 museums in 1. It is all in all a children's museum, a technology museum, and an arts museum. Great place!
