Geojedo Haegeumgang is an island located 500m offshore on the south side of Dachuri-ri in the south of Geoje City, with an altitude of about 116m and an area of 0.1㎢. Haegeumgangum, which connects the two islands, is part of the Hanryeo Sea National Park and was designated as the No. 2 scenic spot in 1971. The island was once called Kudzu Island because of its shape like an extension of kudzu vines, but it is better known by its name, which means "King Kong in the sea". It is said that Xu Shi, who was rich in herbal medicines and searched for immortality for Qin Shihuang, once led 3,000 boys and girls to come here, and engraved the four characters "Xu Shi has passed this", calling it Herb Island. In the vicinity of Haegeumganga, there are strange rocks such as Cross Cave, Lion Rock, Maitreya Rock, Candlestick Rock, and Riwol Peak where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
