Travel with Kids Made Easy! Stay at a Guilin Hotel Within Walking Distance to Attractions
Bringing kids to Guilin for a trip, after much consideration and based on our requirements: ✔️Close to attractions ✔️Child-friendly ✔️Moderately priced, we finally chose 🔜Port House Rooftop View Hotel (East-West Alley).
Location: 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
The hotel is located in the center of Guilin, between Zhengyang Food Street and East-West Alley. You can easily solve eating, drinking, and entertainment needs just by going downstairs‼️ From the hotel, you can see East-West Alley (〽️The best spot for taking photos of East-West Alley is on the rooftop💛💛). It’s a 5️⃣-minute walk to Jingjiang Princes' City, a 1️⃣-minute walk through the underground passage to East-West Alley, and a 1️⃣0-minute walk along Zhengyang Food Street to Elephant Trunk Hill, passing by the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas on the way!
Service: 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
As soon as we entered the hotel, staff greeted us and offered directions proactively, making the experience excellent.🙌 Special mention: since we had to leave early for our itinerary and didn’t have much time for breakfast, the restaurant staff provided two boxes for us to pack breakfast to eat on the road, which warmed our hearts😫😫😫.
Room: 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
We arranged a family room for the kids, filled with elements they love, like rocking horses and stuffed toys🧸~ They had a great time playing. The room was also very clean; the kids crawled around, and their pants and socks stayed clean without picking up dust. The family-friendly amenities were abundant, including children's slippers, step stools, shower gel, and a child’s toilet... I was amazed when I saw it all and really have to give the hotel a thumbs up for their thoughtfulness👍.
Restaurant: 🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
Since it was peak season, the restaurant was quite crowded, but the staff organized everything very well~ The breakfast had a wide variety, catering to both Western and Chinese tastes. The kids loved the Guilin rice noodles🍜 at the restaurant, freshly cooked. We added some mushroom sauce to the noodles, which we highly recommend trying; it was delicious~
