Of all the parks that I have went to around the world, no other words that I can explain about Gangchon Rail Park rather than using the word - fabulous! One of the regretted moments was that it rains on that day. Since the train is moving, we were not able to open our eyes clearly to see the views due to the rain splashing on our face. Nevertheless, the views were really great and I hope that we’re able to visit again.

It’s definitely a stop you must make after touring the different places such as Nami Island, Alpaca world etc. It’s a must do activity with your friends and family. Do remember to book your slot online for the rail bike before you go! It would be best to catch the last slot as you can watch the Sunset while you pedal through picturesque park and country side feels. The cycling takes you to different scenic areas which is so IG worthy that makes you keep wanting to take videos and photos! At the end of the track, there will be a slow train that will come and take you to the end point. It’s definitely a must have experience when you go to Korea. A section of the once-abandoned railway has been given a new lease on life, where everyone can ride bicycles on the tracks! Yes, you read that right - bicycles that can move on the rails have been specially designed by the park authorities. The railway bike path is mostly downhill, allowing for an easy ride through the picturesque countryside of green hills, fields, and rivers. Along the way, you will also pass through various themed tunnels. In addition, there are VR (Virtual Reality) experience sections that you can enjoy for an additional fee.

#cherryblossom2024 Have an exhilarating ride at Ganchon Rail Park! Here, you get to choose to have a 2 seater or 4 seater rail bike. These special bikes run on a train rail tracks and you have to peddle to move your rail bike. As you move along the tracks, you get to admire the beautiful views of lakes and mountains in the ganchon area. Go through the different train tunnels too and have adrenaline rush as the bikes go down slopes. The trail ends at the other end of the area and there will be a shuttle bus that brings you back to the original start point. This is a great activity for all!

The first time I went to Jiangcun Rail Bike was in mid-August. Although the weather was hot, it was very cool during the ride! Highly recommended for those who like to enjoy the scenery! Different tunnels have different themes, which is very fun!

The whole course takes about 45 mins and you will be riding a train for the last leg of the journey. If you have kids or elderly, be prepared to do more intense pedalling. It was a wonderful experience, working hard to get to a destination (though my amazing husband did most of the work), and perspire on the way. wasn't that comfortable on the seats to paddle, we kept slipping down the seat and if we were to sit upright, it'll be difficult to reach the paddles. ohwells. but overall, enjoyed all the themed tunnels!! we even partied hard in the last tunnel. #railbikepark

during my visit to seoul, i booked a tour packaged which included a visit to gapyeong rail park. as the tour included 4 locations (nami island, petit france, garden of morning calm) and gapyeong rail park being the last location, i reached there rather late. despite this however, i really enjoyed my time there. the bike trail was down slope, so it was easy to pedal. along the way i got to enjoy various views from different points. it was really beautiful! the trail also included 4 different tunnels with various themes, which was very interesting. overall, i feel that it is a place worth visiting, especially if you are traveling in a group
