Milan is the shopping capital 🛍️
#travelshopping
Shopping in Milan was everything I dreamed of and more! As the fashion capital of the world, the city is a paradise for shopaholics like me. I started at the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with its stunning glass dome and luxury stores like Prada and Louis Vuitton. Even if you’re just window-shopping, the atmosphere is incredible. For high fashion, Via Montenapoleone is the place to be, filled with designer boutiques.
Prices range from affordable high-street brands to some eye-popping luxury, but there's something for every budget. I also loved wandering around the Brera district for unique boutiques and vintage finds. Don’t miss the Duomo, which is just a short walk away—perfect for a sightseeing break between shopping sprees. Milan really knows how to combine style and culture! 🛍️👜✨

Milan sits right at the heart of Italy's fashion, design, and architecture scenes—so much so, in fact, that creatives from all over the world come every year for events like Salone del Mobile (the Milan Furniture Fair) and Milan Fashion Week. And the scenery and sights truly live up to the hype. There's the iconic Duomo di Milano, the world's largest Gothic Cathedral; the amazing mosaics and glass vaults of the Scala Opera House and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II; not to mention museums and galleries like Pinacoteca di Brera. And as an added bonus: Milan's food scene has really grown over the last decade. Now, you can not only find regional classics, but you can also explore a variety of solid international flavors, including Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Ethiopian fare.

My recommendation for the best time in this colorful delightful country
Flight to Naples (or Napoli how locals say). Two days here will be more than enough))
• taste the best pizza in whole world in
This pizzeria was featured in the movie “Eat. Pray. Love”
• take a cable car to Vesuvius
• see the “Sin City” Pompeii, the biggest archaeological site in the entire world, famous for its catastrophic ending by the volcano Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D
Take a train to Rome, it’s only 2,5 hours
In Rome do as Romans do))
Kidding) but it’s so many things to do in Rome so I’ll make another post but definitely recommend you to spend at least 3 nights here
Next stop is Florence (train again)
• see Duomo and Michelangelo’s David
• visit Uffizi Gallery if you lucky enough to get tickets
• try best gelato in Italy
And next train takes you to fashion capital of Italy - Milano
• do as much shopping as you can
• visit Duomo roof during the sunset
• enjoy “dolce far niente” (happiness from doing nothing)

One afternoon in Milan 🇮🇹
An essential to visit in Milan is the so called Duomo di Milano, you can also visit the inside and get to the top of it to see the views. So amazing!
Right next to the Duomo there is the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which consists of luxury shops and several restaurants. A good place to spend the afternoon.
If you travel to Italy another must is to try some pasta, we opt for having dinner in a restaurant near the center. Spaghetti bolognese and carbonara, super top and good prices there!

Italy Milan 🔶 Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
#OverseasTravel
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is gorgeous in a very classic shopping center in Milan. Built in the late nineteenth century and over 100 years old, its glass dome is a major feature of its design. The arcade is full of cafes, restaurants and famous shops.
Most notably, on the centrally located floor, there are four mosaic floor paintings representing the emblems of the four cities.
It is said that as long as it is on the bull pattern, turning in circles on one leg will bring good luck

THE GREAT GALLERIA
The great Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II was planned by Giuseppe Mengoni and built between 1865 and 1877 on one side of Piazza del Duomo and on the other side of Piazza della Scala. With a dome soaring 48 meters above its mosaic floor, it was Europe's largest shopping arcade at the time.
It is a magnificent example of 19th-century industrial iron and glass construction, and it marks the beginning of modern architecture in Italy. And it's still a lovely, lively neighborhood where folks congregate for lunch or coffee in exquisite cafés and shop in high-end boutiques. It has become so ingrained in Milanese culture that locals refer to it as "il salotto" (the salon).

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, is Italy's oldest active shopping gallery and a major landmark of Milan in Italy. Housed within a four-story double arcade in the centre of town, the Galleria is named after Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy.
the arcade principally contains luxury retailers selling haute couture, jewelry, books and paintings, as well as restaurants, cafés, bars, and a hotel, the Town House Galleria. The Galleria is famous for being home to some of the oldest shops and restaurants in Milan, such as Biffi Caffè.
The mosaic floor tile designs represent different cities in Italy: the wolf symbolizes Rome, the bull is a representation of Torino, the lily is indicative of Florence, and the flag stands for Milan itself. Another fun fact: the symbols in each part of the floor symbolize the numerous capitals of the kingdom of Italy.

Milan | There is a legend on the promenade of Emmanuel II, do you know?
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, built by the Italian architect Giuseppe Mengoni in 1865, is now the shopping centre of Milan. Named after the Italian king Vittorio Emanuele II, it was made of cast iron with glass as the dome of the cloister. However, the irony is that on December 30, 1877, the architect died in the cloister of his own cloister (there was a rumor that he was suicide for being criticized for his poor construction), and even more bizarre, the king was also 10 days later. Passed away one after another. The beautiful arcades of the
promenade are very magnificent. Remember to look for the coat of arms of different Italian cities under the cloister, including Milano, Como, Firenze and Roma.
Remember to find this Torino Bull, and it is said that you will get good luck on its eggs! This is a must for every visitor! ! ! Haha~
Tequila..
The Emanuele II Promenade is located on the north side of the square of Milan's iconic Milan Cathedral and connects to Scala Square. A huge Arc de Triomphe attracts visitors who come and go to the promenade to find out. Promenade structure The Emanuele II Promenade is a covered arcade street, named after the first king of Italy, Emmanuel II, which is considered to be the most beautiful commercial arcade in Europe. One. The arcades are built in the classical Galleria of Paris. The two crossed corridors are cross-shaped with a glass dome above.

Day walk through the Galleria of Milan
The surrounding area centered on the Milan Cathedral is the most prosperous and lively place. This huge dome building extends outward in a cross and radial shape, and there are various famous shops and restaurants inside. There were a lot of people in the morning, but it was really overcrowded in the afternoon. Have breakfast and a cup of coffee here first~ Personally, I don't think there are so many famous scenic spots in Milan, but shopping and eating and drinking should be said to be really good! So here you can see tourists from all over the world happily standing in the promenade and taking photos. After all, Milan is indeed a world-famous fashion center! #100WaysOfTravel #outdooradventures

Do you like gelato like I do?
#100waysoftravel
There are two types of gelato: the first is factory-made ice cream, the same one that can be found not only in Italy but also abroad. It contains dry milk, concentrated juices, food colorings and sometimes preservatives.
The second type of gelato is called artigianale - this is ice cream made by hand from the freshest and exclusively natural products. Most often, the ice cream maker (master gelateio) sells gelato in the same place where he makes it. Such handmade gelato includes milk, cream, chocolate and, of course, seasonal fruits. A real gelateio will not allow himself to make, for example, strawberry gelato in winter, when the strawberries are not juicy and sweet enough.
.
Catch a couple of the hottest spots:
🍦 Gelateria la romana
A chain cafe that can be found in every major city in Italy.
.
🍦 Frigidarium - there is always a queue here, but it moves very quickly. Here they cover gelato with instantly hardening chocolate: you bite into it a little, and the chocolate breaks with a slight crunch, letting you feel the creamy taste. The receptors are in ecstasy from such bliss!
.
🍦 Badiani - our sister's and my find in Florence, more than 150 types (!!!) of gelato, it's really hard to get to, it's far from the tourist places, but if you're in Florence for more than a day, you should definitely visit.
If you're in Italy, be sure to stroll along the old streets with a cone in your hand, imagining yourself as Audrey Hepburn or Gregory Peck from the movie "Roman Holiday".
