Natural scenery
On the south side of the city, there is a beautiful lake. It is more appropriate to say that it is a reservoir rather than a lake. Because at first it was built as a cistern. It will become the lifeline of the city in the future. Today, it is home to many birds and is very peaceful. Every day, many people come here to enjoy the shade, or to swim happily in the lake, and some people come here to wash clothes, which is very lively. There is also an extravagantly decorated Krishna temple. There is a row of sandstone pavilions and temples on the edge of the lake, including a beautiful arch (Teelon KiPol), which is said to have been funded by a devout Indian believer. The local prince thought that walking through the gate would lose his identity and ordered the arch to be demolished. Following the priest's advice, the believer built a Hindu temple on the arch while the maharaja was away so that the maharaja could not demolish the arch. After that, the Maharaja of Jaisalmer refused to go through the arch and had to make a detour to get to Lake Gadisar.
