It is just 3 minutes walk to both Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon which are on each side of the hotel. How convenient, especially when we brought along our parents who are in their 80s. They also have a buggy shuttle between the 2 hotels which will stop by Gurney Plaza too, if you do not wish to walk. Really appreciate this intimate service. 2 surprises which attracted us are, they offer ice-cream while we clear the check-in process which didn’t take too long. This is such a welcomed treat from the hot weather. Another surprise is, the mini-bar is completely complimentary. Well stocked enough to make us happy. ☺️ The room size is generous and we had a high floor room with an unblocked view of the city. Modern and very comfortable hotel with a decent gym, as well as a small infinity pool with a good view of the city and the hills. The room was very clean and there was a smell of disinfectant, which is a relief for me as I know they clean and thoroughly disinfect the room after each guest. The drinks and snacks in the minibar was free and there was a coffe machine in the room. The TV is equipped with YouTube and Netflix as well as the standard channels. The hotel is nestled between Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon so you can easily get food or go shopping if you wanted. One of the most unforgetable staycation at a glamourous hotel in Gurney, Penang. G Hotel Kelawai is another branch of the famous 5 stars hotel, G Hotel, Gurney. The property is just nearby the Gurney Paragon Mall and Gurney Plaza. A buggy is provided to commute the guest to the aforementioned malls. Perfect customer services and 5 stars facilities. It was my numerous time in G Hotel Kelawai and love it so much! The location is so so so good and there is buggy service to Gurney Mall which is located next to the hotel. Love hanging out in the pool and order some food and drinks at the bar/lounge. At night the view is fantastic up there. Gym is also very good with the amount of equipments. Plus point: Carpark is very safe with security patrolling around the area often. Able to go to cafe/bar at G Hotel Gurney and get it charged to your room in G Hotel Kelawai which makes everything so much easier. Cons: Housekeeping could be improved as i encountered stained sheets during 1 of the day.

Recent trip to Penang visited this popular Rooftop bar and the view is great. Location is at G Hotel Kelawei Road nearby popular Gurney Drive Hawker street. This bar is located at 24 floor and it’s also at the poolside. The night view and sunset view is magnificent as seen on some posts but I didn’t have the time this round so will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Penang. Always love rooftop bars and sad to say a few other night spots have close-down due to Covid but hopefully more will reopen soon. As always food and the beach have always been the local favorite. #penangtrip From the first step into the hotel all the way to the room, everything was great and it was a very enjoyable stay. The ambiance and music of the hotel was top notch. The room was super clean and who would’ve thought I’d get a pillow menu where i can choose a preferred type of pillow! The hotel’s design and amenities are designed with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail that it made every cent counts. I ended up having late dinner and drinks and Gravity and the view is sublime and the food was really great! And it is just a walk-over-a-street to Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon which makes its location perfect too!
