Fusheng Temple is located in Guangcun, 17 kilometers northwest of Xinjiang County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. Fusheng Temple was founded during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649). In the 11th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1498), Fusheng Temple was renovated. Fusheng Temple faces south and has two courtyards in front and back, covering an area of 5,598 square meters. Along the central axis, there are the mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, Amitabha Hall, Three Buddha Caves, and Sutra Pavilion. The Mituo Hall and the secret caves in the lower part of the Sutra Pavilion are relics of the Yuan Dynasty. The rest were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The mountain gate is a wooden archway-style building. Seven layers of brackets support the towering eaves. The bell and drum towers are divided into east and west. The main building has a single-eaved hip roof style, surrounded by arched doorways, with wooden archways, east and west wing rooms and other buildings forming a small courtyard with a patio
