Getting There - Take the MRT to City Hall station (EW13/NS25) on the East-West Line or North-South Line. From City Hall, Funan Mall is a short 5-minute walk away. Follow the signs within the station towards Exit B, then head towards North Bridge Road and walk along Hill Street until you see Funan Mall. ABC Cooking Studio is located on Level 4 of Funan Mall.
Attractions - I had the best Halloween experience this year at ABC Cooking Studio in Funan, where I got to bake a S’mores Chocolate Cake! Making the cake was such a treat—literally! We layered rich chocolate cake with gooey marshmallows and crunchy graham crackers, capturing all the goodness of a campfire s’more.
Walking out with my own Halloween-themed dessert that looked and tasted amazing! It was a fantastic way to celebrate, learn something new, and enjoy the season in such a creative way. If you’re ever looking for a fun holiday activity, I’d totally recommend trying a class there—it’s an experience you won’t forget!

On this day 25 Oct I have went to Funan and Jewel to look for the pop-up as stated in this #pictureforperfectsingapore but nothing was available. At the same time, trip moments unrelated to this pop-up have been qualified. So here you are reading my moment at Funan Mall. It is super easy to come to Funan Mall and you can even ride your bicycle on the bicycle lanes during selected timing. It has many food and shop options and even a rock climbing indoor feature.

ABC Cooking Studio Peach Gatsbee
Baking a Peach Gatsbee cake at ABC Cooking Studio in Funan Mall was a delightful experience. The studio's bright and welcoming atmosphere made the baking process so enjoyable. From gathering the ingredients to decorating the cake, every step was guided by friendly instructors who made it easy to follow along.
As we admired our finished Peach Gatsbee cake, it was hard not to feel a sense of pride. The cake looked almost too cute to eat. Seeing the final product was incredibly satisfying. It's an experience I won't forget, and I can't wait to try baking more treats at ABC Cooking Studio in the future.

In my experience, brunch at McDonald’s Funan Mall has been a convenient and enjoyable choice. Situated directly across from the Old Fire Station and surrounded by numerous tourist attractions, it offers a perfect spot to refuel during a day of exploring. Local brand coffee with Amazing choice of cakes!
Sinpopo Brand Coffee concept (Funan) is a local brand. They use a local roast to make their coffee using state-of-the-art espresso machines, and craft cakes and bakes handmade from scratch. We had caramel macchiato, cappucino and gula melaka cake. The cake was so yummy. All their cakes look amazingly.

During our visit to Funan mall in Singapore, we stumbled upon The Dark Gallery, a café that specializes in dark chocolate desserts, ice cream, and waffles. The shop boasts the use of the finest grade of cacao from around the world, and their chocolates are not only delicious but also visually appealing, resembling miniature artworks.
As we wandered around the mall in search of Belgian-style waffles, we were delighted to discover that The Dark Gallery offered them, topped with gelato-grade ice cream. Our order was quickly prepared, and we were pleased to find that the café was not too busy at that time. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we would highly recommend it to other chocolate and dessert lovers.

Go visit Funan Centre if you haven’t been there in years and you’ll be impressed by the wide range of stores and restaurants or eateries. The mall has a hip and youthful vibe like no other. Super rich seafood soup broth!! 🐠🍜
This is my go to place to eat at city hall area because the seafood soup base is really good and value for money. They offer a variety of different fishes but my fav is toman fish. You can also try their porridge which is cooked with the same some base but has ginger in it so it tastes different. But do eat the regular soup base if it’s your first time there!

Very affordable Japanese food in the city area.
This bowl of chicken Karaage costs only $6.90 before all charges are included. And it comes with a Japanese soft boiled egg at the side. So it's a challenge if you do not know how to break an egg.
The fries chicken, mixed with the egg, was a perfect combination. The meat was tender and flavourful. You can also add on the chilled powder as the side if you prefer a stronger taste.
The serving was just nice for us, who just wanted to try our new food places without adding lots of calories and spending lots of money.

COLLIN'S Funan serves affordable Western food, and their lunch menu was attractive. The main course was cheaper than its usual price and topped up another $1.90, and we've got a bowl of mushroom soup.
The mixed grills at COLLIN'S include pork chop, chicken chop, and pork sausage, served with corn, potato cake, and vegetables. It was indeed a fulfilling meal.
The variety of food choices on their main menus was extensive. You will be sure to find something that you like.

Flavours by Saute is a vegetarian/vegan fusion concept cafe located in Funan Mall.
Their menu is quite extensive, ranging from local delights, pizzas, baked items, etc. The food selections are very appetising.
The pizza was nice - thinly crusted and full of cheese and mushrooms. Great for sharing with friends.
The orhluack is a recommended dish in the menu. It's made with eggs and mushrooms. Very similar to the real orhluak, this is indeed a fine dish on its own.
I am really quite impressed by the variety and taste of the food here. Gonna be back for more.

Funan Center is interesting mall!
One of the greenest mall in Singapore. Explore and walk. Lots of food, electronics, gadgets and even terrarium. Check out the roof garden if you haven’t been to.Amazing place!! It’s not too crowded and the place looks really chic. The view of the city skyline was amazing from the rooftop as well. The only downside of this mall is that the shops all close pretty early. Geared toward the youth. New, fresh and updated vibes after a major overhaul.

Funan Digital mall is a relatively new mall after rebuilding less than 5 years ago. The mall is now very modern and green attracting young and youthful crowds for gathering of food and fun.
Within the mall, it has rock climbing walls for different levels of difficulty and even bicycle lanes for people to cycle inside the mall at certain hours.
There are also many eateries and restaurants within the mall for different budgets. The mall is also connected to City Hall MRT station and even has a co-living space Lyf Funan managed by Capitaland group. There is even an urban farm located at level 7 where you can experience green space.

Valid for a limited time till 31 August, you can catch the cute Hirono Don't Worry about Tomorrow masterpieces at the underground walkway in between Funan and Capitol. This is a collaboration between Funan and Pop Mart, where the artist, Lang had produced Hirono in various drawings and also digitally on screen on the few big screen TV along the walkway. Instead of just an underground pass, you can now walk slower and admire the animations and drawings, while taking a while to explore our inner self and feelings.
You can also see more of Hirono display at the Pop Mart at Funan Level 1 store as well.

Butterknife Folks: delicious ice cream place

Singapore is getting hotter and hotter as in the peak of "summer" now.
One day while we were at Funan, we were craving for ice cream, and not just any other ice cream we wanted non "normal" flavours and Butterknife Folk was the only Gelato shop that hit our criteria.
It's flavour are uncommon, we selected "Cha Yen" the thai mlk tea and "Speculoos" which is the Lotus Biscoff speculoos cookie butter gelato. Cha Yen was on a cone, we only tried one cone as it cost additional 50 cents. And yes the cone was worth it. Doesn't taste "heaty" too.
I heard that the owner think that starting a new business with so many competitors is like fighting a battle with a butter knife lol.
This ice cream store does not have a fix menu and once somethings so old, it may not reappear soon, so we are advise to buy them as soon as we see them. What was unique was seeing the mirrors on top, we actually didn't know and was right at the glass, staring at the flavours lol.

Located at the outdoor terrace of TFX Funan Fitness Centre of Funan the IT Mall, is an impressive infinity pool with a great city view.
Essentially, TFX gym at Funan Mall is a modernised fitness complex well equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipment and they have several outlets in Singapore too.
After checking in and grabbing a huge pool towel, we proceeded to check out the outdoor relaxation deck with a nice well trimmed garden. You can choose to post for a selfie with the office tower as backdrop or simply get a tan !
Thereafter, proceed to take a dip into the 25m Infinity Pool, swim or simply wade to the edge and take instagram worthy snapshots of the unblocked surroundings that include/overlook the iconic Central Fire Station and Civil Defence Heritage Gallery. You can also take photos with the scenic Fort Canning Park as well as Hill Street (Chinatown in the distance) as your backdrop too !
To sum up, after an optional intensive workout at TFX Funan Fitness Centre, you can proceed to the outdoor relaxation deck/terrace to sit back, relax and enjoy the sun and breeze at the outdoor tanning deck or simply wade in the pool and soak in the awesome City views at the edge. But do remember to hydrate yourself adequately as the sun can be pretty hot in the afternoon !
Note : Located @ Level 4 of Funan Mall is also LyF Funan by Ascott, where you can also book via Trip.com for a staycation, or simply head there to coshare, work and play too.

KOPITech is a food court inside Funan Shopping mall at basement 2. It is designed to look like a futuristic dining place with their neon lights and colourful led lights. This place is entirely self service. You will place order with the machine and collect a ticket. Then your ticket number will appear on the screen once it is ready for collection.
This foodcourt might be a bit dark for some so just take a look around n see if you like this place before placing your order.
In fact, I was really looking forward to see robots serving our food to our tables.

This is Pokemon Ga Ole Singapore and there are several machines at Funan Mall located at basement 2. However you cannot use your Japanese cartridge to play on Singapore machines. You will need to buy it from the vending machine. It is an interactive game to catch and battle pokemons. Depending on your opponent, you will select the best Pokémon with their abilities to battle.
There are only 3 machines at Funan Mall so I’ll suggest to come during off peak otherwise there will be a long queue.
There are plenty of restaurants and fast food places to take a break after your game.

Climb Central Singapore is an indoor climbing area and it has a few outlets in Singapore. There are various levels of climbing difficulty to choose from. It is a great workout in a safe and controlled environment within the shopping mall. At Funan Shopping Mall, their climb walls span over 3 levels. For beginners or children can choose to climb on a lower wall for trial climb.
Their entry tickets are affordable too. For first timer adults will be $35 and you can rent climbing equipment at low prices too. So just bring yourself here and climb your way up.
