[2025 Fukuoka Attraction] Travel Guide for Fukuoka City Hall West Side Fureai Plaza (Updated Apr)

2024.12.10 - 12.12 I finished my 2 nights and 3 days #Fukuoka trip. On the second day, the 11th, I went around the biggest goal of this trip! #Christmas #Illumination. I went to 3 places in total. ☆ #Hakata Station #Ekimae Square (Search for JR Hakata Ekimae Square!) ☆ #Tenjin Central Park ☆ #Fukuoka City Hall #Fureai Square You can buy cups with different designs at each place where Christmas illumination is held. I drank hot chocolate at Hakata Station Square and picked a pink cup! I didn't know, but there was a price difference depending on the store. Aside from places that cost over 1,000 yen, buy them at the entrance for 900 yen. ㅎㅎ (I got permission to take pictures! They were so kind...🫰) Personally, the place I thought had the most to see and was the most well-decorated was 'Tenjin Central Park'! The trees throughout the park were dressed in lights, there were many photo zones, and there was a lot more to eat than Hakata Station. (Motsunabe, ramen, strawberry mochi, tacos, grilled chicken legs, etc.) The last place I saw was the City Hall Plaza, which was smaller than other places, but there were a lot of stores even inside that round interior(?). I recommend it to those who want to sit still and eat and don't want to move around a lot! The Tenjin Summer Festival is currently being held at the Fureai Hiroba on the west side of Fukuoka City Hall. A tower is set up in the middle of the square, and music is creating a summer festival atmosphere. Stalls are spread out around the venue, and tables and chairs are packed tightly between the tower and the stalls. Red and white lanterns🏮 that light up the night spread out on all sides from the tower. The Tenjin Summer Festival, where you can feel the atmosphere of the bronze statues dancing, is an event that can be enjoyed by both locals and tourists visiting Fukuoka. Fukuoka City Hall is connected to the Tenjin Underground Mall via an underground passage, including the subway station. It is also easily accessible by bus, so why not enjoy the atmosphere of a summer festival for the first time in a while this year? It is also close to the terminal for express buses that connect major cities in western Japan, including Tokyo! #2024wish This is the famous Christmas market in Tenjin. However, this Xmas market run for certain period in winter. You can find great food and hot wine and very westerner style. Within easy walking from main street and major shopping area. A great place to visit during Xmas. Don't miss this place if you are in Fukuoka during the winter season. In 2024, I want to come here again in December.

We visited the Fukuoka City Hall Community Square venue for "The Creators 2022," a creative and entertainment experience event being held in Fukuoka City on October 22nd and 23rd. It's one of the events I look forward to every year as it allows you to easily experience cultures that you don't usually have access to and the world of the "metaverse."
