Fujian Museum - A Technologically Enriched Exhibition of Fujian's Footprints
Hello everyone, I am Rabbit 🐰
Fujian Museum has launched a new exhibition 📸 - Tracing Fujian's Footprints 🎞
This exhibition is increasingly infused with a technological atmosphere in its layout.
Located in the southeastern coastal province of Fujian, China, surrounded by mountains and facing the sea, Fujian has a long history with rich cultural heritage buried underground and underwater. Over the decades, with the care and support of the government and various sectors of society, and through the arduous efforts of numerous archaeologists, Fujian's cultural relics and archaeology have achieved significant results. Thousands of ancient sites, kiln sites, tomb groups, and shipwrecks have been discovered and excavated, unearthing a large number of exquisite cultural relics reflecting Fujian's ancient history. These discoveries have essentially clarified the development trajectory of Fujian from ancient times to the present, filling many gaps in the study of Fujian's history.
In the process of cross-century development, Fujian's cultural relics and archaeology have continuously achieved remarkable results, writing new chapters and repeatedly winning honors such as the "Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries in China" and the "Field Archaeology Award." The "Southeast Archaeological Research Base" has been established in Fujian. In recent years, the field of archaeological exploration has broken through its original boundaries, expanding into the vast ocean, investigating and excavating a batch of underwater remains. The "National Underwater Cultural Heritage Protection Fujian Base" has been established, becoming one of the most important underwater archaeological research bases in the country.
This exhibition brings together the essence of Fujian's archaeological achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China, aiming to promote the excellent traditional culture of the nation and showcase Fujian's unique historical features. We believe that with the attention and support of the whole society, Fujian's cultural relics and archaeology will achieve even more brilliant accomplishments.
This exhibition is a long-term one, so take advantage of the weekend holiday and set off 📸

The 'Chinese White to the World - Dehua Porcelain Masterpieces Exhibition' is being held at the Fujian Museum
The exhibition interprets the role of Dehua porcelain as an important carrier of a fine life through two parts: 'Chinese White, Both Elegant and Beautiful' and 'To the World, A Treasure of All Under Heaven'.
The first part 'Chinese White, Both Elegant and Beautiful' explains the development history, artistic characteristics, and types of Dehua white porcelain; the second part 'To the World, A Treasure of All Under Heaven' introduces the history of Dehua white porcelain's export and its outstanding contributions to the spread of porcelain-making techniques and Sino-foreign exchanges.
From the dimensions of historical civilization, craftsmanship, and world recognition, Dehua white porcelain holds a special position for showcasing regional traditional culture. The exhibition presents classic white porcelain works by ancient, modern, and contemporary masters to the world, showing how Dehua, a small mountainous county in the Quanzhou area of Fujian, has thrived and become famous because of porcelain, carving out a unique development path. The ceramics known as 'Chinese White' in Europe refer to the Dehua white porcelain of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Among Dehua white porcelain, the most artistically influential and impactful are the figurines.
The densely scattered ancient porcelain kiln sites within Dehua, the ancient shipwrecks recovered from major sea areas around the world, and the Dehua white porcelain unearthed along the Maritime Silk Road, as well as the numerous treasured collections preserved in many museums at home and abroad, are all tangible evidence of how Dehua white porcelain is cherished by people both in China and abroad and widely exported overseas.
