About an hour's drive from Antigua, the starting point is "La Soledad". The route to the summit is about a 10-12 hour walk .

2 days: On the first day, go to the base camp, then head to the summit in the middle of the night to watch the sunrise and Fuego.
It is possible to do a day trip, but if you want to enjoy the late night to dawn, we recommend staying overnight .

1. It’s best to take it easy in Antigua for 1-2 days to acclimatize to the high altitude before climbing. 
2. You can choose a tent or a small hut as your base camp, and it will get below freezing at night, so you’ll need to take precautions against the cold.
3. Trekking poles and headlamps will increase your sense of stability and make the night walk safer.
4. Choose a reliable local guide and ask a porter (additional charge) to carry your luggage for you.
5. Volcanic activity occurs every 20 minutes, with smoke and explosions, and the force of the activity can be witnessed from the campsite or the summit.
