Arts Club Hall 9
In 2020, the second branch of Hall 9 will be located at the Arts Club, a Grade I historic building and art landmark in Hong Kong. Managed by the Octavium Group, the own brand of Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana, it complements this beautiful and historic art space.
In terms of cultural heritage and heritage preservation, the decoration of Hall 9 has redefined the elegant Chinese retro style. The restaurant’s artistic director is Albert Kwan, a renowned interior designer who was the head of design for the Nine Halls headquarters, the Chinese Hall and the Chinese Club. The restaurant also invited star stylist Felix Wong, the godfather of fashion who has styled artists such as Eason Chan, to design uniforms for the waiters in Hall 9.
In the kitchen of Hall 9, Executive Chef "Bo Go" Master Wong Yiu Po is a dim sum master with a 50-year career in cooking. Another signature dish of the restaurant, including traditional stewed goose, pork hoof, offal and other Teochew delicacies, are prepared by former Teochew chef Chef Pan Gui-chung. The exquisite Cantonese cuisine is headed by Chef Chan Khing-ki, who has more than 30 years of cooking experience in both China and Hong Kong, who brings a variety of authentic stir-fry to the restaurant. For example, the acorn-grade black pork special char siu, which is only available in our shop.
The artworks on the walls of Hall 9 are local artists who have held their first solo exhibitions at the Arts Club: Zhai Zonghao, Chen Peiling, Peng Jinyou, Zeng Cuiwei and Wang Chunjie. The work not only gives the space beauty and local character, but also showcases Hong Kong’s creative talent.
