Recent exhibitions: The Pet ShowExhibition time: 2024.12.7-2025.3.9In this diverse world, are pets quietly becoming perfect loyal companions for humans in their own unique way? The exhibition "Pets in Action" (December 7, 2024 - March 9, 2025) takes pets as the theme and selects a series of artworks focusing on pets. It carefully creates a world of image art full of fun, love and warmth in the exhibition space on the second floor, aiming to deepen the public's understanding of the indispensable role of pets in daily life through the perspective of art.Through the unique perspectives of 24 artists, the emotional bond between pets and "us" is delicately outlined. They are either covered in soft fur or show a smart posture... Sometimes they become family guardians, soothing people with silent warmth; sometimes they become symbols of personality and status, showing the unique style of their owners; sometimes they take on the role of life partners, silently accompanying and spending countless ordinary and precious moments together; sometimes, they serve as inspiration muses for artistic creation, inspiring Unlimited creativity and imagination. Pets, a once marginalized existence, are increasingly becoming a part of human self-integrity and an indispensable role in contemporary society and popular culture. As the famous French writer Anatole France said: "Only by loving animals can a part of our soul be awakened." This exhibition is a deep tribute to those silent but affectionate loyal partners in life! Digital Jester: A grotesque carnival in binary codeDigital Jester: A Grotesque Carnival in Binary CodeExhibition time: 2024.12.3-2025.1.5Italian artist Pietro Privitella's solo exhibition "Digital Jester: A Grotesque Carnival in Binary Code" invites viewers to explore our emotional connection with technology through the artist's innovative digital collage works, while facing the irrational fears surrounding artificial intelligence in a lighthearted way. Curated by Monica Bonini and advised by Andrea Baldini, the exhibition weaves a rich and grotesque picture where humor and weirdness intersect, reflecting the absurd nature of human anxiety in the digital age. Despite the rapid rise of digital art, many viewers are still unaware of its potential to challenge and reshape contemporary narratives. This exhibition aims to promote a deeper understanding of the relationship between art and technology, emphasizing that things we perceive as threats can also be a source of irony and creativity. Through Privitera's work, viewers are invited to rethink their views on technology and reflect on its dual nature as a catalyst for progress and a source of anxiety. Digital Jesters satirically interprets contemporary fears of the apocalypse of artificial intelligence by focusing on three series of digital photographs by Pietro Privitera. Through these works, the artist pokes fun at the seriousness of those who are convinced that machines will end the status quo of human life. Through the hybrid creature images in the exhibition, Pietro Privitera mocks the solemnity of those predictions of the apocalypse of artificial intelligence in a way similar to the jester in a modern version of King Lear. His digital collages combine the grotesque and the absurd, transforming our concerns about artificial intelligence into a black humor cyber carnival. The exhibition aims to encourage visitors to explore our emotional relationship with technology in a playful way, using laughter and ridicule to reveal that artificial intelligence will not be the end of humanity: "The king has no clothes!" True Self, Masked Life|UN/MASKEDExhibition time: 2024.11.7-2025.2.16Following Fotografiska’s exhibitions in Stockholm, Berlin and New York, Borodina’s solo exhibition “True Self, Fake Life” takes Chinese audiences into a “mirror world” full of surrealism, symbolism and experimental fashion elements, and experiences a deep exploration of self, identity and emotions. Borodina said the works in the exhibition explore how we present ourselves to others and the multifaceted aspects of our personalities that we hide. “It focuses on the roles we wear and the masks we create to make the experience of life easier and more understandable for others or ourselves.” This exhibition covers 150 works by Borodina, which not only shows her profound skills in fashion and art photography, but also leads the audience through a series of experimental works to travel through time and space and have a spiritual dialogue with the artist. The audience will closely gaze at Borodina's artistic talent, walk into her emotional journey, and unlock the self-extension of "us" in the parallel universe. System Dream|Sweet DreamExhibition time: 2024.10.13 to 2024.1.12In an age of information overload, what is a real "good dream"? Is it a brief peace of escape from reality, or a re-examination of the relationship between oneself and the world? This exhibition provides a platform for reflection, prompting the audience to explore the complex relationship between the Internet, sleep and humans. By exploring these themes, the artist simulates the dilemma of contemporary urban life and invites the audience to rethink how to establish their own time and independent spirit in a technology-driven society. The artist's creation focuses on the current life on the screen. The exhibition unfolds in a theatrical way, presenting the intricate reality and psychological state of contemporary society. As the exhibition title "System Dream" indicates, it indicates the systematic characteristics of modern life and the dreams we create in the system. The audience will experience the interweaving of dreams and daily life in the context reconstructed by the artist.Chen Wei uses photography, video, installation and sound works to construct an immersive audio-visual environment, allowing the audience to directly experience the profound impact of digital life. In this space, the audience is not only a spectator, but also a participant, facing the bombardment of blue light and digital information, and feeling how technology profoundly shapes our emotions and behaviors. Through this immersive experience, the artist guides the audience to think about how technology and time shape us in modern life and how to face the impact of such a system on daily life. Three in OneExhibition time: 2024.10.13 to 2024.1.12In a world dominated by increasingly similar digital image and construction tools, how should creators create? Many of Li Weiyi's works are based on reflections on decades of career as a designer and image maker, such as the cruelties in the image-making industry, and the efficiency and delay of using images as a medium for communication. The title of the exhibition "Three-in-One" comes from the works on display, and also reflects the three parts of the exhibition: the "three-in-one" practical chair that transforms art classics, the "flower arrangement practice" unfolded on the cross-section of 3D scanned objects, and the floating image of a girl falling into the water "Sisters in the Water". These three works are different aspects of the artist's creative practice, and also profile her background, personality and environment. Like a trinity, they are concentrated into a portrait of Li Weiyi this time.
