Photo Spot in SG
If you're planning to visit this picturesque spot here in SG you have to be early so that you don't end up queuing for about 2-3hrs just to get that viral photo in this tunnel.
We arrived in this spot exactly 6:30am and still a little bit dark but atlease we manage to take our time without even worrying that a lot of other people are staring at us while we are taking pictures.
This spot is located in Singapore ,
Fort Canning Tree Tunnel.

The Fort Canning Tree Tunnel is one of the most popular spots for travelers visiting Singapore, offering a perfect location to capture stunning photographs of this unique and beautiful place. This underground photoshoot spot features a breathtaking spiral staircase that has become increasingly popular in recent years.
During our trip to Singapore, our goal was to capture memorable pictures at this renowned spot. Upon our first visit, just an hour before noon, we were met with an extensive queue of people eagerly waiting to take their photos. The line seemed endless, and we anticipated it would take hours to reach the front. Consequently, we decided to explore other attractions and return early the next morning.
Our decision proved successful. Returning around 7 AM, we found only a few people present, allowing us enough time to capture a lot cool photos. We highly recommend travelers to visit this famous spot early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Finally, we obtained a collection of memorable pictures that will serve as precious reminders of our trip to Singapore.

Fort Canning Tree Tunnel
Singapore's most popular tree tunnel is another landmark that photography enthusiasts must not miss. It's really crowded, just as its reputation says. When we went, it was drizzling. At around 8:30 in the morning there, there were about 20 people in line. I recommend leaving about 1-2 hours to go to other spots, plus or minus.
Note: The exit next door is also beautiful. Don't forget to stop and take some pictures.
💡Things you should bring with you: a fan because it's really hot in the tunnel. It would be great if you could bring some snacks to eat while you wait, or just eat until you're full.
🩱Dress code: A long, brightly colored dress that you can climb on is recommended. With a wide-brimmed hat, it will be very impressive.
📍Location: Fort Canning Tree Tunnel, pin it on Google map.
🚎 We recommend taking bus no. 64, 139, 65, 175 to get off at the YMCA stop and walk 200m.
🚈 The closest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut.
Walk another 400m.

🌳 Fort Canning Tree Tunnel or the tree tunnel
that we know is a highlight, a landmark
for tourists visiting Singapore.
From being a corner where there were not many people, when we came back, it became a place
that we had to queue for hours to take pictures.
But if you ask if it's beautiful, it is beautiful. It's new for
the photo corner because there is a gimmick, which is a spiral staircase leading up to the top of a large tree. You can see the sky and green trees, very beautiful.
Until it became a popular photo spot.
Another thing is that it is easy to get to, whether by bus or train,
Dhoby Ghaut Station and there is a garden on top.
You can walk around and enjoy the atmosphere comfortably.

Discovering the Dragon Hole at Fort Canning Park🐉
Tucked away in the lush greenery of Fort Canning Park, the Dragon Hole has become one of Singapore’s trending Instagrammable spots recently.
This unique “hole” is nestled within a forested area, seamlessly connected to a scenic green walking tunnel that offers a sense of peace and calm—perfect for a quiet moment of reflection or a nature-inspired stroll.
📸 It’s a great place for photography lovers looking for a more atmospheric or mysterious shot. Come in the early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting and fewer crowds.
🚇 How to get there: Take the MRT to Dhoby Ghaut Station. From there, it’s just a short walk—cross the road, turn left, you will see the "Fort Canning Park" signage along the way (pic 6,7), and you’ll spot a charming pink tunnel that leads directly to the Dragon Hole.

Sharing a 4 nights 5 days Singapore trip plan🇸🇬
Day 1
Because the flight was late, it was already late in the morning when we arrived in Singapore, so we didn't go anywhere, so we went straight to check in at the hotel to rest.
Lin booked the Fragrance Hotel Balestier, which has a food center near the hotel. The price is good, which helps save on food expenses during the trip.
**For this trip, Lin mainly took the bus because the hotel is not near the BTS, but there is a bus stop. We traveled using Google Maps to check the bus line and the stop where we had to get off.
Day 2
Lin went to eat at a Singaporean chicken rice restaurant that Thai people recommend. It is in the Maxwell Food Center cafeteria, the name of the restaurant is Tian Tian. If anyone comes to Wat Khiao Kaew, I recommend you to stop by this restaurant. It's delicious.
After that, Lin went to take pictures at the Sultan Mosque and then walked on Orchard Road to eat bread at Ya Kun Kaya Toast.
When Lin went, there was a Harry Potter event, so my friend wanted to go there so she took a bus to Sentosa Island, Siloso Point.
Day 3
Today's trip was all about taking pictures. The first place of the day was Fort Canning Park. There were people queuing to take pictures here. If you come during the festival, the line will be a bit long.
The second is Old Hill Street. I took a quick photo because I was in a hurry and then took a bus to Singapore's number 1 landmark, Merlion!!!! If you don't come here, it's like you haven't been to Singapore.
The last place was not in the plan at first, but I had time left so I went to Garden by the Bay. There are both paid and free options. There is also a light show in the evening.
Day 4
Universal Studio all day. For those who come during their birthday month, you will get a birthday treat, a coupon for food, souvenirs, and free ice cream/popcorn + a cute notebook. You can contact the customer service counter.
Day 5
I didn't go anywhere. I just stopped by to eat llaollao and ya kun kaya toast at Orchard and went straight to the airport. I stopped to take photos of Jewel Waterfall + had dinner. Then I checked in and prepared to return to Thailand.
**I have to say that this trip was very tiring. But I saved quite a bit on food because I focused on eating at various food centers. The food was just as delicious as the restaurants in the malls.

Spiral Dreams at Fort Canning Tunnel 🌿📷
If you're chasing that perfect Instagram shot in Singapore, the Fort Canning Tunnel is a must. Famous for its spiral staircase wrapped in lush greenery, this spot used to be just a pedestrian underpass — now it's a viral photo hotspot loved by both locals and tourists.
We arrived as early as 8AM, hoping to beat the crowd — but the queue was already long! 😅
Despite the wait, the photo we got was totally worth it. ✨ The light, the curve of the stairs, and the green canopy above created a picture-perfect frame. Just bring some patience, your best pose, and maybe a wide-angle lens — it won’t disappoint! 😉📸

Nestled inside Fort Canning Park, this charming spiral staircase tunnel leads from Penang Road up into lush greenery—a Yellow Rain Tree crowns the opening above. A beloved photography hotspot, especially around 9–10 AM when sunshine filters beautifully from above. Expect queues—you’re not alone: “Iconic photo spot… people usually come here at about 9 am or 10 am”. Access it via Dhoby Ghaut MRT (on Penang Road) or Bencoolen MRT (top entry near Canning Walk).

Urban Gems: A Sparkling Singapore Walk 👣
#singaporeguide
My Singapore afternoon was a delightful, sun-drenched stroll through the city's vibrant heart, seamlessly connecting history, stunning visuals, and lively urban charm.
Starting my journey, I stepped into the refreshing calm of Fort Canning Park. Walking its winding paths, the lush greenery and ancient trees offered an instant escape from the city's hum. It felt like uncovering a tranquil historical secret right in the urban core.
From Fort Canning, it was just a brief walk down to the Old Hill Street Police Station. This building immediately grabbed my eye with its colorful, multi-hued windows that truly popped under the bright sky. It's an unexpectedly cheerful landmark, a delightful burst of color that begged for a quick photo before I continued my exploration.
A short stroll further led me to the elegant grounds of CHIJMES. Even from outside, the pristine white Gothic architecture of the former chapel, with its sharp-topped spires, was breathtaking. Passing through its open gates, I admired the beautifully preserved buildings, feeling the serene, almost ethereal atmosphere of this historic enclave.
Finally, my walk naturally brought me to Clarke Quay. The Singapore River glowed under the late afternoon sun, its banks already bustling with the promise of evening. I enjoyed observing the expensive restaurants preparing for dinner and soaking in the growing energy of this vibrant riverside hub. It was the perfect end to an afternoon, showcasing Singapore's captivating blend of heritage and modern life, all easily discovered on foot.

Beautiful Tree Tunnel
#springitinerary
Take some great scenery at the fort canning green tunnel underpass. It is one of the most popular places to take pictures here. Usually there would be tourists there queueing up to take pictures. It is best to visit there during the weekdays in the morning where there aren't many people. During the weekends it would be quite crowded. It is just five minutes walk away from the Penang road.

Amazing Singapore
Research has always been the key to instagram worthy pictures. One doesnt really have to spent too much, you just need to know when and how…
The tree tunnel is very close to Bencoolen. You have to go there early to ensure you get ahead of the line. While there, the surrounding park are also Instaworthy…
When you get to Merlion, walk past starbucks and the bridge. They’re all good for selfies. There are just soo much things to di that wont cost a buck.

Fort Canning Park
It is one of the largest parks in Singapore.
When we went in August, there was a small exhibition in the park. This is a very large park.
Because we couldn't find the tree tunnel that we intended to take pictures of,
We asked for directions many times, but now we can search for
'Fort Canning Tree Tunnel' in Google Maps.

Highlight: The Fort Canning Tunnel is a beautiful and unique photo spot with its curved walkway and overhead trees. Even though we arrived around 8:00 AM, we found many people waiting to take pictures, which can be a bit frustrating if you are short on time. This tunnel is a beautiful place, but you should plan ahead if you hope to visit quickly.
