The Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower | A Landmark Witnessing the History of Hong Kong.
The Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower is an iconic must-visit attraction in the heart of Hong Kong. Located along the Victoria Harbour, this clock tower, built alongside the Kowloon-Canton Railway, has witnessed the changes in Hong Kong since 1921, becoming an enduring symbol of the city.
Standing about 44 meters tall, the clock tower is constructed of brick and granite, exuding a classical charm. It was originally part of the Kowloon-Canton Railway terminus, serving to keep time and remind busy travelers of the importance of time. In 1961, the terminus was moved to Hung Hom, but the clock tower escaped demolition and survived, now a cultural treasure bearing witness to Hong Kong's history.
Standing before the clock tower is like looking through a window in time, feeling the bustle of the past and the prosperity of the present. As night falls, the neon lights of Victoria Harbour intertwine with the ancient allure of the clock tower, creating a moving nocturnal panorama.
The nearby Avenue of Stars is also worth a visit. Together with the clock tower, it encapsulates Hong Kong's past and present film and cultural scene.
The clock tower is not only a perfect spot for photography but also a window into Hong Kong's rich history. Standing under this weathered clock tower, one can deeply feel the transformation of Hong Kong from a small fishing village to an international metropolis. Each tolling of the bell is a tribute to the past's glory and a hopeful look towards the future.

With the luxury of staying in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, which was super comfortable to get around the famous places super quickly; we decided to take a chill walk in the morning 🌄 to see the Hong Kong skyline. But since it was a windy and cloudy day, we took a bit more walk and saw some historical monuments; of which this Kowloon - Canton Railway 🚂 clock tower was the highlight. Built in the 18th century, it's a long standing and only remnant of the railway terminus; which is kinda time travel experience that took us back centuries earlier and made us realize how significant this tower could be - considering the fact this probably was the only thing showing people their precious thing in life - time ⏰!! #urbanexplorer#tripblazers#awesomepic

The Clock Tower. It is located on the southern shore of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is the only remnant of the original site of the former Kowloon station on the Kowloon–Canton Railway. Officially named Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower (Chinese: 前九廣鐵路鐘樓), it is usually referred to as the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower (Chinese: 尖沙咀鐘樓) for its location.

During our trip in Hong Kong, we visited one of the most iconic infrastructure in Hong Kong which is known as the Kowloon Railway Clock Tower.
This is a place with a great historical value and we are able to capture several good photos over here. We started off at Kowloon Clock Tower as our first point before further exploring the Tsim Sha Tsui area.
Kowloon Clock Tower is a landmark that one should not miss especially when one is travelling to Hong Kong. It is also suitable for families to visit as well.
Address of Kowloon Clock Tower: 10 Salisbury Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Accessible by Hong Kong MTR train!

🇭🇰 Wedding at Clock Tower
I chanced upon an excellent wedding exhibition at Tsim Sha Tsui. No, it is not that kind with real wedding dresses. This was a showcase of the various traditional wedding costumes from all over the world. It also had the famous L O V E sign and many couples were standing around taking photos. I also like that they had included a pair of love swans at the set up. Everything came in a pair here at the wedding exhibition. It was fun and educational to learn more about traditional wedding dresses.

🇭🇰 HK Clock Tower
A clock tower located at Tsim Sha Tsui and it was a landmark of the Kowloon station. I was on my way to take the local ferry at Tsim Sha Tsui pier and saw this clock tower. On the website, this clock tower was declared as a monument since 1990. This clock tower is still in operation and the bells will ring every hourly. This clock tower is made of red brick so you can see it from far very clearly. Once you are close to the clock tower, you know you are at Star Ferry pier. It is also one of the local attractions in Hong Kong.

Bell Tower to visit in the night.
Clock Tower has a century-old history in Tsim Sha Tsui. Located next to Star Ferry and in front of the Hong Kong Museum of Art on one side and Victoria Harbor on another side, the tower has become a landmark of Tsim Sha Tsui.
The tower can be seen clearly in the dark. I came here in the evening to unwind on the seat around the building while waiting for the symphony of light to start. It made my night!
From the bell tower, you can continue your trip to the surrounding area, such as the Heritage 1881, another Tsim Sha Tsui Landmark illuminated in the night, or go shopping at The Harbour City. Alternatively, take ferry from Star Ferry to cross to Central for other attractions and happenings.

Visiting Tsim Sha Tsui via the Star Ferry and seeing The Clock Tower
I took the Star Ferry from Wan Chai Pier to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier. (You can get there via Star Ferry from Central, or via MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station).
It was raining on and off when I got there, and I managed to take a few beautiful pictures of the clock tower.
The Clock Tower at Tsim Sha Tsui is a declared monument of Hong Kong that remains from the old Kowloon station which was part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway. It was preserved when the station was demolished in 1977 and the nearby Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Hong Kong Cultural Centre were built. The Clock Tower bell was moved around and displayed elsewhere until it was shown in the clock tower after 2010. Since December 9th 2021, the bell has rung hourly between 8 am to midnight.
I also managed to get a few pictures along the Promenade. This is a nice walk to do as you can walk past the Museums and Cultural Centre, along the Promenade and Avenue of Stars. There are a few nice restaurants located along the front as well.
There are a few hotels located near to the front, including the K11 ARTUS, Rosewood Hong Kong, Regent Hong Kong, The Royal Garden, InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, New World Millennium Hong Kong and Kowloon Shangri-La. I would love to try out these hotels and give you a clear and detailed review of my experiences.
K11 is a large shopping centre arcade which you can try out. There are a lot of high-end retailers there and a selection of restaurants.
I also posted a different picture of one of the side streets on the way to Chungking Mansions where I picked up some Indian food. There are a lot of money traders and phone shops also located there, and many Indian shops.

The clock tower standing 44 meters high and made of red bricks and granite blocks was completed in 1915 as part of the Kowloon Canton Railway Station. It is an interesting old piece of history where not a lot else remains and worth a look as it stands near the Tsim Sha Tsui ferry wharf.

Beautiful night view of HK island!
We loved the HK sight seing. Especially the evening at the pears and the evening night show. The food is great and busy as usual. You can go there anytime with your friend, Acquaintance and family. The trip around central and the beaches is quite convenient. There are several buses and ferries to go around from there. The bus tour is also worth it for a quick view of the city:)

A great photo spot day or night! Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower.
📍Address: 10 Salisbury Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
📍Key Points
This is a must-visit photo spot in Tsim Sha Tsui. It's popular both at night for the view and during the day. Currently, there's a dragon decoration for the anniversary of the China Construction Bank, but it might look better without it. While the night view is beautiful, the spot is also lovely during the day, so I recommend visiting during the day for photos.

The Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, is a historic landmark and excellent photo spot. Built in 1915, this iconic red-brick tower was part of the old Kowloon-Canton Railway station and offers a striking visual with its classical architecture. It’s a great location to capture a blend of Hong Kong's history and modern cityscape, especially with the nearby Victoria Harbour and skyline in the background.

Old landmark with marvelous history, located at the the southern shore of Tsim Sha Tsui, now accompanied by the Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art and Hong Kong Cultural Centre, all built on former station grounds. Always worth a visit.
This area is a silent piece of art. Go and watch as the boats dock and run. The clock tower is a great place to take pictures too. What I like the most though is the harbor. It is always a good sight.

City Walk
It's definitely the fastest way to understand a city.
When visiting a place, I like to slowly measure it with my feet.
Walking through the streets of Hong Kong,
You can ignore the heat and the crowds,
Just looking at the scenery,
Seeing people from different countries, their expressions, their movements,
They exist in the most comfortable state.
Life in Hong Kong is noisy yet comfortable,
The noise comes from the daily hustle and bustle of life,
Comfort is
Just wandering around, you'll find surprises,
Following the Ding Ding tram, shuttling on the Island line,
Every casual snapshot is a classic Hong Kong drama scene,
Capture this city with your lens.

Canton Railway Clock Tower 🕰️✨
The Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower is right next to the Star Ferry Pier, basically in front of the pier. The appearance of the bell tower is ancient and elegant, and tourists can only view it from the outside. 🍃
Take some time to drop by this area and enjoy the awesomeness of the sky scrapers around, the true city views of Hong kong. It is crowded with people every day. There were many people taking pictures and videos, but I never felt uncomfortable because it was a large space. 🥰
Be prepared for a chilly night and some light drizzle. This place is a common place for couples to date, especially at night, when it is pitch dark and looking at the night sky of Victoria Harbor, the romantic atmosphere is particularly strong. Worth a visit. 👍🏻✨

Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock
#meethongkong
The Canton Railway Clock Tower is a Declared monument and historic landmark building next to the Star Ferry terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST).
What you will see is a 44 metre tall tower made of red brick and granite. Each side has a clock face, the tower is caped by a small dome and a 7 metre tall lightening rod. Originally built between 1913-15, the clock tower is an important reminder of Hong Kong's colonial past.
It stands proudly on its own next to the harbour these days. In the past, it was part of the old Kowloon-Canton Railway Terminus that has long been demolished. At one time, the clock tower dominated the Kowloon skyline, now it is simply a link to the past and a historic landmark for all of us to enjoy when spending time in TST along Victoria Harbour.
