[2025 Petaling Jaya Restaurant] Travel Guide for Fluffed Cafe & Dessert Bar (Updated Feb)

Waffle is always my favourite dessert to go for, what else a better way to satisfy the sweet tooth hunger. This cafe has just opened a new branch in Sunway Mentari called Fluffed. It’s has always been a famous spot for their waffles+ice cream combo varieties to choose from. They also serve cakes and some drinks too! We got some of their waffles, Snoopy & Peanut (charcoal waffle/banana/peanut butter ice cream/nuts). It is so churchy! Next we got a Alice in Wonderful (blueberry ice cream/fresh berries) it’s very sweet but very good. We also tried their tiramisu cake slice which has caramel on top, so good and creamy! For drinks, we got a ice blended chocolate to enjoy, so rich and satisfying. Attracted by the modern decor, we decided to give this Kopitiam a try. Visited early at 8am on weekend, not too crowded. Tastefully decorated with woods furniture, and air conditioned. However, table for two is a little small, our table is fully occupied after food arrived. Tried the signature handmade noodles with prawn wonton. Definitely love the texture of the noodles! Wonton was huge. There is only one comment for improvement: portion size was too small for price tag of RM 12 per bowl. Kaya toast and half-boiled egg too is satisfactory. #celebrateit Most dessert lovers would know of this place, which produces tasty waffles with assorted flavors. The line usually get pretty crazily during the night, regardless of weekday/weekends. I personally don’t like their waffles, which is fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, as much as their cakes, which has a lot of nice creative flavor combinations at acceptable sweetness level. Two of my favourite are taro and rose lychee. Now they have other branches eg in Subway Mentari. Haven’t run into a queue thus far there. So for peeps who wanna try out their cakes without having to wait, you know where to go!

The sashimi was incredibly fresh, perfectly paired with the fluffy shaved ice beneath. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that felt both refreshing and indulgent. #malaysiatrip During my Malaysia trip, I had the pleasure of visiting Flurrē by Fluffed for a casual gathering with friends, and it was such a charming experience! The café had a cozy and inviting ambiance, with the cutest capybara-themed decorations that immediately caught my attention. From plush capybaras to tiny rubber duckies, the playful decor added a unique and cheerful touch to the space. I decided to try their Black Forest cake, and it did not disappoint. The cake was beautifully presented, with rich chocolate layers and a delightful balance of sweet and tangy flavors from the cherries. It was both indulgent and satisfying—a perfect treat for the afternoon.

Long queue cafe which we knew before we come. The table setting in the cafe is quite closed to each other, not very comfortable seating. Waffle is crispy and tasty, we also like the combination they offered. However, the ice cream is not up to the standard, quite normal ice cream and melted quickly. It would be great if the ice cream part could be improvised. Coffee and tea that we ordered are quite nice. Been here a few times this year, and yes, it is ALWAYS packed, but for good reasons! The waffles we ordered are all so insanely good. Depending on what you like, all flavours are good, because the waffle base is always so fragrant and toasted. We even came here during dinner time once and the space is already quite occupied as well, so just expect to queue but it will be worth it. #malaysia

One of the best cafe I’ve been to in SS2 Petaling Jaya Selangor. There is always a long queue waiting to be seated and some waiting before the cafe even open their doors for business. The cakes are freshly made daily and most ingredients are prepared by themselves. They have been in business for 7 over years as what I’m told as a friend of mine is acquaintance of the owner. The cakes all look amazing and not forgetting the taste of it too. I’ve tasted quite a number of cakes types from this shop and it doesn’t fail to impress me as I’m a foodie myself and been eating cakes and pastries since a young age as I’ve got a sweet tooth.
