Wugong Temple Located in Qiongshan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, also known as "Hainan's First Building", it is the birthplace of Hainan's culture of demoted officials, covering an area of over 70 acres, and was first built in the fifteenth year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1889). The temple enshrines Tang Dynasty Prime Minister Li Deyu, Song Dynasty Prime Ministers Li Gang, Zhao Ding, Grand Scholar Li Guang, Hu Quan, and other five historical ministers who were demoted to Hainan. Although the Wugong were demoted officials, their loyalty and integrity never faded.
