Popular Japanese-style Chain Specializing in Fried Pork Cutlets
If I feel like having Japanese fried pork cutlets, Donkichi Japanese Tonkatsu Specialty Store is one of my choices. There are several branches throughout Hong Kong, most of which are conveniently located in shopping malls. What makes it famous is the use of Japanese Kurobuta pork, which has a higher fat content, thus sealing in more juices when fried, resulting in a crispy and delicious bite filled with meat. Other fried items such as fried oysters and prawns are also good choices to try.

The Treasured Manicure Experience
Had a well pampered Manicure Experience at Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong Hong Kong.
Staff was friendly, they had me send them my desired design in advance so they were all prepared when I arrived and sat down. They offered me the choice of rose tea or Oolong tea; which I have chosen Rose along with some sweet crackers.
We talked about my design and how we can change it around for it to look more dynamic also cater for long last as I’m constantly travelling.
Some of my nails have chipped cause my last manicure was in August and the soft gel has overgrown. So they helped to reshape my nails for comfort and aesthetic purposes.
The tea was a lovely touch alongside with a friendly conversation with their staff. They were very attentive, paid attention to detail and really took care of me.
Towards the end, they gave me a complimentary hand mask which was soothing leaving my hands nice and soft 🩷

Another City Hot Dog Cafe.
Have you ever experienced this? Your child eats a full meal at school, but as soon as they get out, they tell you: I'm so hungry! 😬
Last Friday, after picking up my little brother, I immediately looked for a place to have afternoon tea with him. It turns out that a new cafe has opened in Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong, specializing in creative hot dogs, ice cream sandwiches, and specialty coffee drinks. I've also visited their branch in the West Kowloon Cultural District. 🤭
This time, we ordered the following items:
🌟 Bichon Frise
(Frankfurter sausage, homemade tartar sauce, shredded seaweed)
This classic flavor is my favorite because the shredded seaweed on top of the hot dog adds a richer taste.
🌟 Dachshund
(Frankfurter sausage, meat sauce, triple cheese blend)
This triple cheese hot dog is my little brother's favorite. The rich, stretchy cheese paired with the hot dog sausage is very satisfying and the flavors complement each other well.
🍦 The ice cream sandwiches can be customized according to the customer's preference. First, choose the type of cookie, then the flavor of the ice cream, and finally the toppings on the ice cream.
🌟 Original Choc Chip
+ Chocolate
+ Cookies n Cream
A soft chocolate chip cookie sandwich with chocolate ice cream and chocolate cookie crumbs. It's sure to satisfy any chocolate lover with its rich flavor and unique texture.
🌟 Oatmeal M&Ms
+ Mango Sorbet
+ Pop Rock Candy
The vibrant colors and the combination of the textured cookie with mango sorbet make for a very special taste.
🌟 Strawberry Lemonade
A perfect summer drink with a sweet and sour taste.
🌟 Cappuccino
Beautiful latte art and a nice flavor.

Farewell to An Nam at Festival Walk
I absolutely love Southeast Asian cuisine, and Vietnamese food is one of my favorites! The An Nam branch at Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong offers a comfortable dining experience with great service and authentic dishes. Unfortunately, I've heard that the restaurant will be temporarily closing at Festival Walk. So, I decided to seize the opportunity to dine there with friends and create some wonderful memories.
An Nam will be temporarily closing at Festival Walk on September 2nd! Starting today, they are offering special dishes and various discounts as part of their 9th-anniversary celebration.
As soon as we sat down, we ordered the signature Pineapple Mojito for $78. It was refreshing and delicious with a hint of pineapple aroma, perfectly complementing the Vietnamese cuisine. Plus, you can get a second drink for just $9 (calculated based on the lower-priced item), which is a great deal.
My friend wanted to try the Garlic Butter Chicken Wings for $98, and of course, I joined in! The wings were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. If they had added a bit more butter, it would have been even more indulgent.
Another promotion includes two exclusive dishes at the Festival Walk branch! They are offering the Three-Flavor Jumbo Prawns and An Nam Golden Beef Pot at a discounted price. We chose the Three-Flavor Jumbo Prawns for $398 (original price $448), featuring grilled, tamarind, and sweet and sour jumbo prawns.
The jumbo prawns were indeed huge, each as big as my palm! The meat was succulent, and the prawn head was filled with flavorful prawn roe.
First, we tried the basic grilled jumbo prawn. The plump and juicy Indonesian prawns were loaded with prawn roe, making it incredibly indulgent. The smoky aroma from the grill added to the deliciousness.
The tamarind jumbo prawn was seasoned with their signature tamarind sauce, offering a sweet and tangy flavor that made us smile with every bite.
Lastly, the sweet and sour jumbo prawn was seasoned with a special sweet and sour sauce. The unique flavor was refreshing and not overwhelming, thanks to the distinctive sauce.
The promotions kept coming, and we also chose the second dish at half price from the Surf and Turf selection! First up was the An Nam Appetizer Platter for $268, which included silky steamed rice rolls, crispy An Nam spring rolls, chewy Vietnamese shrimp cakes, crunchy soft-shell crab rice rolls, and my favorite, crispy shrimp chips.
The second dish was the An Nam Tamarind Crab for $548, made with a generous portion of Vietnamese mud crab. It was stir-fried with tamarind sauce, black pepper, chili, and purple onions. The fresh crab meat combined with the tangy tamarind sauce made us lick our fingers clean.
Vegetables are a must at every meal, so we also ordered the Stir-Fried Kai Lan with Belacan for $98. The vibrant green kai lan paired with the flavorful belacan was refreshing and delicious, making it easy to finish the plate.
Everyone should take the opportunity to revisit An Nam's unique Vietnamese dishes at Festival Walk within the next month. After that, you'll have to visit their Causeway Bay branch to enjoy their food.
