Went to the French Alps on Christmas day! Stayed in Geneva and took a day trip to Chamonix-Megeve. We couldnt find any direct transfers to and from Megeve so we had to look for a DIY—hopped on the train from Chamonix-Montblanc to Sallanches-Combloux-Megeve station. When you get to the station, you can ask the information for the bus schedule or check online prior to your trip.
