[2025 Aso Stay] Travel Guide for Fairfield by Marriott Kumamoto Aso (Updated Mar)

Accommodation in Aso, Kumamoto, Fairfield by Marriott Hotel, with a simple and elegant log style, the space is neat, clean and comfortable. The room is large considering the price of Japanese hotels. It can hold two large suitcases without blocking the way. A one-minute walk from Aso Station, there is a roadside shop selling various souvenirs. There is a free lounge area in the hotel lobby. The bar has a variety of self-service tea, coffee ☕ and miso soup 🍲. There is an oven for preheating and a microwave, so you can buy bento and bread and heat them up for easy eating. The most satisfying thing is that the mattress and pillow are super comfortable. A good night's sleep when you are away from home is more important than anything else.

Besides the clean and comfortable rooms, we love that the hotel provides lots of thoughtful amenities and services to their hotel guests. At level 1 of the hotel, there is a cozy, light and modern communal space for all to use. This space reminds me of a cafe, where one can dine and drink together or just chill at a corner. There are relaxing spaces, both indoors and outdoors. A small kitchenette area is also spotted and this comes with an oven, a microwave, and ice dispenser. If you buy food from outside, you can heat it up here. A professional coffee machine and tea dispenser is provided here and you can get complimentary coffee and tea all day. On top of that, guests can get free miso soup too. How awesome! If you would like to get snacks and more drinks, there's a small convenience corner to get those items. Fairfield by marriott Kumamoto Aso hotel is a splendid hotel that you will love!

#newyearnewtrip Fairfield by marriotr kumamoto aso may just be a three star hotel but it stands out as an amazing hotel during my stay and in no way did I feel it was like a three star hotel. Enter the hotel and everything feels well maintained and new. It has a homely warm feel at this hotel. I booked their twin room and I had a pleasant surprise. The room had a comfortable size and space. It was big enough to fit my luggage and I love the location as it is right outside the main aso station. So much convenience if you are traveling by train. I also love the view from my rooom. I could spot the famous Mount aso and watch the train run past from the train station. There's even a little spot in the room for you to just admire the views outside. There's no bathtub but I love that the dry and wet toilet is separated. The room was clean and modern with comfortable beds. I have no complains but only praises for Fairfield by marriott kumamoto aso. Superb stay!

#AccommodationTravelRecord On the first day of my trip to Aso, I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Aso Kumamoto. The reason I chose this hotel was because of its location. On the second day, I wanted to go to either Daikanbo or Kusasenri early in the morning, so I chose this hotel because it was only a 20-minute drive from both. The price was also reasonable, starting at 15,000 yen per night for two people. I stayed for free with Marriott points, but with hotel prices going up these days, this price is appreciated for Marriott. Another plus point is that you can see Mt. Aso from the room! There is a free drink bar in the lobby, and they also have coffee, cafe latte, tea, and instant miso soup! The instant miso soup was surprisingly delicious, so I drank about three bowls 😂 The location was also quite good, with a roadside station and hot springs next door, and restaurants and ramen shops within a 5-minute walk. For dinner, I went to Coffee Plaza East, which was a 5-minute walk away. It had a pure coffee shop atmosphere, but it was a set meal restaurant that served local cuisine. It was really delicious. My husband had red beef bowl, and I had red beef hamburger! It's not a stylish place, but the food is delicious and I highly recommend it!
