Morella is an outstanding example of a Gothic city and has been declared a cultural heritage site.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
The first thing that catches your eye is the castle and the medieval city walls, which were built in the 14th century. The Old Town has notable churches such as the Gothic Church of Santa María Archpriest (1263-1330) with Baroque details; the Old Monastery of San Francisco (13th century); the Church of San Juan (15th century), Gothic with neoclassical decorations; and the Church of San Nicolás, also Gothic; as well as the monasteries of San Marcos and San Pedro Martir.
In terms of civil architecture, it is worth mentioning the Casa de la Villa (14th and 17th centuries), the houses of Ciurana, Piquer, Rovira and Cardenall Ram, and the Old Hospital (15th century).
Strolling through the stepped streets and arcades of Blasco de Aragon, looping the hill along the Alameda and admiring the medieval aqueduct of Santa Lucia are important ways to get to know the city.
The city of Morella has two standout attractions: the cave paintings of Morella La Vella and the shrine of La Virgen de Vallivana. Every six years since 1673, the Virgin Mary is carried in procession through the city. There are many chapels along the road where pilgrims pray and offer prayers during the 22 km walk.

The Church of San Bartomeu de Benicarló is a historical and architectural gem
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
Its magnificent Baroque façade and intricately carved details bear witness to the city's rich history. The interior of the church is equally impressive, with elegant vaulting and an ornate altar. It is a place of peace and reflection, ideal for a cultural or spiritual journey. Don’t forget to admire the colorful stained glass windows that fill the space with a divine glow. This is a must visit for anyone interested in the history and art of the area.

A very beautiful and old church
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Castellón (Region)
The Church of Our Lady of Mitana is located in the Peñíscola Castle, which was built in the 18th century by order of the then Viceroy Sancho de Echevarría. It is attached to the castle and is located in front of the Plaza de Armas. It is a Latin cross temple with two side chapels, on the facade of which one can see the shield of King Philip V, and the carvings next to the gate are remarkable because they mention military details such as coats of arms, armor, flags, spears and cannonballs.
Overall, it's a very nice place to spend some time, walk around the castle, take photos and have dinner in some cafe or restaurant. The atmosphere is very good, I recommend you to visit there.

Pretty beach & cool hike, Barcelona’s got them all
#celebrateit
Not sure if it’s my luck or all year long, Barceloneta Beach was in my dreamy blue hues during my visit in the evening. And the creative architecture along the beach makes it quite a wonderful walk along the coastline.
And around half an hour away is the hill Parc del Mirador, which is not too steep to hike but steep enough to give an excellent viewpoint of the whole city. But the hill faces the city in the northeast, so it’s recommendable to visit it in the blue hours of sunrise for the best view.
Barcelona (and Spain in general) has graffiti all over the place. It packs a good deal of constant surprise when walking around the city, whichever route you happen to take.
