Bangkok One-Day Tour Guide
Having been to Bangkok 5 times, I recommend an off-the-beaten-path one-day itinerary that can be reached by public transportation.
Tour guide: Chinatown, Erawan Shrine, icon Siam, Khao San Road, Wat Hua Lamphong, Talin Chan Floating Market. All attractions are accessible by subway and bus.
Transportation guide: BTS MRT SRT. Take the BTS to the Siam shopping district, Chit Lom to the Erawan Shrine shopping district. Silom to the Chinatown shopping district.
Accommodation recommendations
Stayed near Payathai station in the city, which is only a 20-minute walk to Siam Square and very convenient.
Hotel TRANZ 451 yuan/night
Khao San Road is a backpacker's paradise in Bangkok, with many hostels and guesthouses. Double rooms start at 100 yuan.
Shopping recommendations
SIAM
Siam Square, it took 20 minutes to walk to the square, which has a duty-free mall with a rich selection of brands. After shopping, you need to go to the airport for a tax refund. However, the products here are more diverse compared to the King Power Duty Free Shop, and the newly opened icon Siam also has an indoor floating market.
Ferris Wheel Market, which is laid out with dining areas, snack streets, shopping streets, and pier bars. It is recommended to go in the evening to enjoy the sunset over the Mekong River.
Khao San Road food street, where the bars and night markets are very lively at night.

Pre-trip Preparation
✓SIM card
✓Cash 10,000 Thai Baht (about 2000 RMB)
✓Travel insurance
✓Download APPs
The most used APPs this time were Grab and Google Maps. It's better to register for Grab in your home country because it requires a verification code, which might be hard to receive in Bangkok (I couldn't receive the verification code at all in Bangkok, luckily Fei had completed the registration beforehand, otherwise it would have been 'embarrassing').
Grab has a good response time for calling a ride (including motorcycles), and the prices are fixed. If you're worried about credit card fraud, you can ask the driver to accept cash, and they won't refuse, but try to prepare small change to avoid issues with change.
Tuk-tuk: The local app is called Muvimi, which prevents you from being overcharged, but you can't call a tuk-tuk from another district, and you can't withdraw money after topping up, which is a bit inconvenient.
✓Book hotel + flight (prepare electronic itinerary) The airline staff said that customs might ask about it when entering the country. If you have a round-trip ticket, 10,000 Thai Baht is enough; if you don't have a return ticket, you need 20,000 Thai Baht (they just want you to spend money). In reality, when entering through Don Mueang, they didn't ask anything, it was all electronic scanning and fingerprinting.

Statue in the middle of the city road
During my visit to Bangkok this is what I always see from the overpass heading to Central World, the four faces of the Buddha statue. The front face represents career and life. Continuing clockwise, the second is symbolic of relationship and family, the third is for wealth, and the last for wisdom and health.
The four faces symbolize the four books of the Vedas, the Hindu scriptures and the source of all knowledge in the creation of the universe. The eight hands, symbolize the omnipresence and power of Lord Brahma.
The glistening Erawan Shrine was erected in 1956, adjacent to the then existent Erawan Hotel to ward off evil and to eliminate the bad karma believed caused by laying the foundations on the wrong date. Today it still glistens like a sacred golden island-emitting positivity, with strong whiffs of incense and flowers and the sound of prayers; almost cutting one off from the monotony of a busy inter junction.

Erawan Shrine in Bangkok!
Holla! Welcome to Bangkok!
Erawan Shrine is one of the most popular Hindu shrines in downtown Bangkok. It’s in front of Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, at the corner of Ploenchit and Ratchadamri Road. Throughout the day (and night), you'll often see crowds paying their respects, presenting flowers and incense sticks to a gold sculpture of the 4-faced Brahma God, Than Tao Mahaprom.
Locals and tourists now frequent the shrine for good luck and blessings as it’s known to grant whatever is wished. The shrine receives so much traffic that workers remove the offered flowers and incense sticks every few minutes.
You should pay a visit if you are going to Bangkok 😄

A very popular Bangkok shrine located in the northwest corner of Grand Hyatt Hotel. This Hindu shrine is flocked by visitors everyday, almost 24hrs. Worshippers come to pay religious homage to the 4-faced Brahma god (Than Tao Mahaprom), well known to be kind and merciful. I dropped by a late morning to make a simple prayer for a kind trip and safe journey back. It was well answered!! It is at a very prominent intersection where Ratchadamri Road, Rama I Road, and Phloen Chit Road meet. This area has many malls and shopping complexes within easy walking distance, and there’s a skyridge (part of the R-Walk) linking to the BTS (both Chit Lom and Siam Station

Many locals and tourists are very familiar with the Erawan Shrine located at 494 Ratchadamri Rd, Pathum Wan. Bangkok's four-faced Buddha, this is my third time here, and the popularity and incense of each visit is very strong. The four-faced Buddha, the Van Gogh is the main god of the Brahminism in India, and there are many places in the courtyards of Thailand and the Thai people. It is said that it was originally a Brahma, one of the three main gods of Hinduism and Brahmanism. In Southeast Asia, especially Thailand is considered to be the boundless mana, mastering the gods of wealth and wealth in the world; its four sides are facing southeast and northwest, respectively, for the believers to pray. Due to its similar appearance to Chinese Buddha statues, the Chinese translations are mostly four-faced Buddhas. It is located at the corner of the road next to the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Erawan and the Sogo Department Store. It is famous for its incense. When people worship the gods, they usually use flowers, incense sticks and wooden elephants, or release the sparrows. The rich people hire several girls dressed in ancient Thai national costumes to dance traditional dances with music in front of the Buddha statues. Thank God or votive, thank God for grace.
Pooh_No.2.
The vast majority of people in Thailand are Buddhist believers, and the four-faced Buddha is the most popular Buddha statue in Bangkok and even in Thailand. It is a pity if you come to Bangkok without a four-faced Buddha. It is said that the four-faced Buddha is very effective, so no matter what. The four-faced Buddha is full of people here, and the splendid four-faced Buddha is very conspicuous. Visitors who come to Bangkok will come here to see it.
The Erawan is located in the bustling intersection of downtown Bangkok, next to the Central World shopping center, where the BTS passes, so it is still very easy to find. On the way to the Erawan Shrine, someone will sell you candles, flowers, and so on. If you plan to go to worship, then these things are needed, and they are not expensive. The four-faced Buddha is a four-faced Buddha, representing health, career, love, and fortune. The four-faced Buddha needs to start from the front and then rotate clockwise. Every Buddha needs to worship. The incense of the
four-faced Buddha is very strong. The people who come to worship are also in a constant stream. There are many candles and flowers. The staff has been constantly cleaning up. In addition to the traditional way of worship, Thai traditional dance can also be used here. Expressing my wish, there are a lot of dancers in the next cabin, and it is also very hard to perform. To be honest, Thai dance sometimes seems quite interesting.
On the bridge of BTS, here is the best angle to see the four-faced Buddha. You can see that the place where the four-faced Buddha is really small, but it is very lively.

A Devout Journey: Praying at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok
In the early morning streets of Bangkok, amidst the bustling traffic, lies a serene sanctuary—the Erawan Shrine. Approaching the magnificent golden statue, one can feel the solemn atmosphere permeating the air. Nestled in a busy commercial district, the Erawan Shrine exudes a tranquil power, drawing countless devotees and tourists to worship and pray.
After a quiet prayer, I followed the path of the incense, circling the shrine. Each of its four faces represents a different wish—health, career, love, and wealth. Nearby, musicians played traditional Thai music, and dancers gracefully performed, offering a dance of gratitude for those whose wishes had been fulfilled. Lighting an incense stick ignited my devotion, and holding a lotus flower in my hands, it felt as if all my wishes could be carried to the deity's ears by the gentle breeze.
At dusk, the lights made the Erawan Shrine even more dazzling. I left with a heart full of blessings and peace. Not only did I appreciate the charm of Thai religious culture, but I also understood the profound meaning of prayer and inner peace.

Successful Return from Thailand Trip☀️
Here are some tips and reviews for those planning to visit Thailand soon. The entire trip to Thailand was really nice. I stayed in Thailand for 6 days, and while my memory is still fresh, I quickly organized this to help everyone avoid some pitfalls‼️ This is for those planning to visit Thailand soon.
Let me talk about the tour I joined.
We searched online for a long time to find a tour group, and many friends recommended different tours to me. I compared them all and finally decided on this one. The reason for choosing it was because it is a legitimate tour in the local area, and I didn't find any negative reviews or warnings online. We traveled in a 7-seater business car, and the tour fee included hotel (with breakfast), transportation, tickets, business car, and travel insurance. There was no forced shopping in our tour (I had a terrible experience with a shopping tour in Yunnan before). We followed a pure sightseeing route in Bangkok and Pattaya, visiting the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Koh Samet, and Erawan Shrine. We visited all the attractions we wanted to see. The group members were of similar age, and everyone got along well. The atmosphere was nice, and we even took photos for each other. I still keep in touch with one of the girls from the group, and we are planning to visit Singapore together. Traveling indeed allows you to meet different people and see different sceneries. If you have the chance, you should definitely experience the summer in Thailand. Apart from the heat, everything else is perfect.
After returning from Thailand, I felt a strong urge to go back. I think I will visit again if I have the chance, haha! Whether you join a tour or travel independently, I suggest doing some basic research beforehand to avoid being scammed. Especially during peak tourist seasons, it's best to book local tours in advance, as they might be more expensive if you book on the spot. In short, when choosing a tour, make sure to do thorough research and comparisons to find the best one.

Treasures of the past mixed with modern art
The Erawan Shrine, located near the Chit Lom BTS station in Bangkok, is a must-visit destination for tourists seeking a blend of spirituality, culture, and urban vibrancy. This revered shrine, known in Thai as Saan Phra Phrom, is dedicated to Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu god Brahma. Despite its relatively small size, the Erawan Shrine holds a significant place in the hearts of both locals and visitors.
One of the most striking features of the Erawan Shrine is its accessibility. Situated at the bustling Ratchaprasong intersection, it is easily reachable via the BTS Skytrain, with Chit Lom station offering a convenient elevated walkway that provides a unique aerial view of the shrine. This central location makes it a perfect stop for tourists exploring Bangkok's vibrant shopping district, with major malls like CentralWorld and Amarin Plaza just a stone's throw away¹.
The shrine itself is a visual delight. The golden statue of Phra Phrom, adorned with intricate details, stands majestically amidst a sea of colorful flower garlands and the fragrant smoke of burning incense. The atmosphere is further enriched by traditional Thai dance performances, which are often commissioned by worshippers as a form of gratitude for answered prayers². These performances add a cultural depth to the visit, offering tourists a glimpse into local traditions and beliefs.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Erawan Shrine is steeped in history and legend. It was originally built in the 1950s to appease the spirits after a series of unfortunate events during the construction of the Erawan Hotel². Today, it stands as a symbol of faith and resilience, attracting people from all walks of life who come to seek blessings and make merit.
In conclusion, the Erawan Shrine is more than just a religious site; it is a cultural landmark that encapsulates the essence of Bangkok. Its convenient location, combined with its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, makes it an unmissable destination for any tourist visiting the city¹². Whether you are there to pray, enjoy the traditional dances, or simply soak in the ambiance, the Erawan Shrine offers a unique and enriching experience.🕰️#bangkoktrip #bangkok

As usual, I took the 300baht set for my praying.
Start from the front of Phra Phrom facing the main entrance. Pray in clockwise direction until the last side.
If you are heading there to return wishes you had made, you might want to invite dancers in group of 2, 4, 6, 8. There is a standard price for the dancer at the counter.
