Where - Ellenborough Market Cafe at Paradox Hotel (formerly known as Merchant Court Hotel) Address - 20 Merchant Road Singapore 058281 Getting there - Clarke Quay MRT Highlights - Peranakan-themed Lunar New Year Buffet Ambience - spacious and not crowded Price per pax - S$65 (after credit card discount) Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+½ It has been 3 years (due to Covid) which we did not get to have our CNY reunion lunch/dinner with the whole family. This year we decided to do it slightly earlier to beat the crowd and we went back to our favourite Peranakan/Nonya themed self serve buffet with the modern twist in CNY atmosphere. Wise decision to gather 2 weeks before CNY as the restaurant is about half filled. Not crowded and we were not restricted to the time limit. We were one of the last few tables to leave before the restaurant close at 3pm. Haha. Service is really good and attentive. We were awed. We managed to get a 30% discount with credit card promotion as we opted for lunch. The standard did not drop although the hotel is now run by Paradox Hotel Group. Ellenborough Market Cafe 20 Merchant Rd, Singapore 058281 This hotel has been around for decades and Ellenborough is a gem!! The buffet spread is amazing. The food is fresh and the selection is pretty large! And my favorite item on the menu is their famous Durian Pengat!

Had a buffet dinner at ellenborough market with my friends over the weekend. The buffet has a wide variety of food and desserts. The portion came as one person's serving and that's perfect for people who wants to try everything. The BBQ selection is a little disappointing as the beef is rather hard and dry. Over cooked in my opinion... My friend said the durian pengat isn't as nice as last time. To be honest, it has been a long time since I last eaten here so I can't comment on that. Sadly, the milkshake is only available to under 16 year old! My friend pouted a little when the server told her this. Lol. Will I come back again? Perhaps, but only if there's some celebration that requires a buffet meal. Price: $78+++++ for one adult. #moreinsg

Really enjoy the variety foodies served during the buffet dining! The restaurant is spacious and cosy vibe, comfortable seating zone overall. Ellenborough served International Buffet with great selection of food, and large spread of seafood on the ice, lobsters, oysters, Japanese sushi n sashimi, cooked foods, local delights like laksa n curry, kueh pie tee, blue pea rice, desserts like cendol, cakes, and Chinese, Western cuisines. Delicious fresh grilled salmon and the accompanying garnish , cashews and dressing, was absolutely Devine. Herb had fresh Fish with fries and an assortment of perfectly roasted vegetables including whole garlic, pumpkin slices, capsicums and zucchini. The breadsticks, olive rusks, and hot freshly baked mini bread rolls, served with herb butter balls and a balsamic Olive -oil dip, came complimentary with our order.
