Being such a humid city, a small rooftop cafe on Eling hill is bound to be wet on such a night. The wind carried water up the side of the building, leaving me drenched pleasantly on the temperate night. The Eling tower on top of the hill glowed as the wind wiped water through the air between us. Definitely a night to remember #givethanks

Chongqing Travelogue Accommodation🏠We chose a hotel near Guanyinqiao, which is very convenient for taking taxis (taxis in Chongqing are really cheap!). There are many restaurants and shops nearby, and you can also check in at the "I'm in Chongqing" countdown clock. Because we lived so close, we didn't check in until the last day. Food🍚Lunch on the first day was at a friend's house, and his mom's cooking was amazing! It was definitely the most authentic Sichuan-Chongqing cuisine we've ever had! She also made some local specialties for us to take home, so we were basically eating and taking all the way home. We also went to "Dalong Hotpot", which is a place they frequent. We didn't know what we were doing, so we ordered medium spicy. Five minutes into the meal, we were all laughing and saying "Si ha si ha". Once again, we were so impressed by our friend's family's hospitality! We also tried Fanba Tuo and Lao Gan Jia, which were both decent. The streetside cold cake wasn't very good. However, every dessert shop had a large portion and was delicious. Even the desserts in restaurants were different from each other. Lao Gan Jia's Yangmei Bing Tangyuan was really good! There's also a dessert shop next to Dalong Hotpot that's delicious. Dessert is a must-have for spicy food lovers! Attractions🏙️On the first day, we went to Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and took photos under the Qianshimen Bridge. On the second day, we got a foot massage and then started walking from Tushan to Longmenhao to Dapaidang. We weren't satisfied, so we went karaoke until 3am. We didn't plan on sleeping, but we remembered that our clothes were still in the hotel washing machine, so we went back. On the third day, we checked in at Guanyinqiao - Eling Park - Eling Second Factory - Liziba. We walked from the park to Liziba, but it felt strangely relaxing. Due to E'ling's relatively high altitude compared to the surrounding areas and its central location in the city, Lansheng Tower can be seen from various directions in Chongqing's urban area. In the 1980s and 1990s, Lansheng Tower and Hongxing Pavilion in Pipashan Park were popular scenic spots in Chongqing, and they are considered a part of a generation's memories. For example, if you visit Yikeshu Viewing Platform without driving yourself, it is quite difficult to descend the mountain at night, but this problem almost doesn't exist for Lansheng Tower. Another point is that the attraction is free. Visiting the WFC observation deck costs about 100 yuan for a ticket, although there are some free wild viewing spots, which I won't elaborate on here. If we were to talk about the shortcomings of Lansheng Tower, it might be its relatively ordinary design, lacking strong design aesthetics, and it seems to have a short design lifespan. If it were to be renovated one day, it might be better to transform it into a style full of design sense.

I remember that Eling Park existed when I was a child. Every time I came here, I would go straight to Kansheng Tower and leave after a quick glance without stopping to take a stroll. #chinatrip A park with a view! Situated on the most narrow part of the Yuzhong peninsula, the Eling Park (Goos Hill Park) offers a peaceful, green oasis with a view. Build in 1909 by Li Yaoting, a rich businessman, as his mountain villa and park, the garden became a public park after a large-scale renovation in 1958. The Liangjiang Pavilion offers a magnificent (but often hazy) 360 degrees view of the city of Chongqing. Literally a highlight.

Then, I stepped onto the ancient stone steps of Shiba Ti, each step seemingly taking me back in time. Passing through the bustling Jiefangbei, I arrived at the Qiansimen Bridge next to Hongya Cave. My goodness, the crowd here was beyond imagination; I felt like I was in the midst of a huge carnival. Although my legs were about to give out, the magnificent view from the bridge overlooking Hongya Cave instantly made me forget my fatigue. 🌸Day Two: Wandering through the alleys of the mountain city, seeking out corners of art and tranquility On the second day, I set out from Qixinggang again, passing through the artistic Mountain City Alleys, and had lunch at the Panda Mansion. The wood-fired chicken has a rich hotpot flavor, while the goose soup pot has a refreshing taste, perfect for cutting through the grease. 🌄Outskirts of Chongqing Although Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town is somewhat clichéd, it's still worth a visit if you like ancient town culture. The Xu Bai Peony Base and the Millennium Azalea Tree are great places for a spring outing. Although I missed the blooming season, the air and scenery on the mountain were still refreshing.
