Elegant Hotel Guangzhou||
||.🚖Transportation:
The Elegant Hotel Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town Canton Tower branch is located at No. 1 Building, Tiande Plaza, Linjiang Avenue, Guangzhou. Situated in the CBD of Zhujiang New Town, it faces the Canton Tower and is adjacent to the Liede Bridge, offering a splendid view and convenient transportation with a subway station nearby.
🏘️Hotel Facilities:
The hotel has a total of 387 rooms. The lobby is on the 28th floor with a rectangular layout. This floor also features a lobby bar and a Cantonese restaurant called Yueya Xuan.
The rooms start at 40 square meters, mainly offering river views and tower views. We stayed in a city view twin room this time.
The rooms are decorated in a simple style with a wood color scheme. The room facilities are well-maintained, with electric curtains, welcome fruit, and a free minibar. Turn-down service includes small snacks and gifts.
The bathroom area is separated into wet and dry zones, and the amenities are quite basic. On the washbasin, there is a makeup bag provided, containing facial cleanser, makeup remover, hand cream, gel water, etc., for use.
🛎️Service:
The hotel service is quite average. Only the front desk responds quickly on the phone, while other services such as the customer service center take a long time to answer calls.
The lobby manager and the catering manager are indecisive and not prompt in handling issues, showing no sense of PR crisis management, which fails to retain potential long-term customers.
🍲Dining:
The hotel features a lobby bar, Yueya Xuan Cantonese restaurant, and Linjiang Pavilion Western restaurant.
The lobby bar on the 28th floor has a nice environment with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the Liede Bridge. The afternoon tea here is very popular, with a variety of cakes, pastries, cookies, all delicately made and tasty. There are fruits like watermelon, honeydew, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, banana, apple, both whole and sliced. There are also various drinks such as coffee, black tea, apple juice, lime juice, as well as congee and sweet soups, especially suitable for families to enjoy. My favorite is their white fungus, red dates, and goji berry sweet soup. In the afternoon, you can come here with family and friends to enjoy tea and chat about life.
Linjiang Pavilion is on the 4th floor. It offers buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks. Their late-night snack is from 11 pm to 2 am, offering only congee and noodles. However, the congee runs out at 11:20 pm (without replenishment). There is only one chef cooking the noodles, and one waiter distributing numbered clips. All guests hold a large bowl filled with their chosen ingredients (noodle cakes or rice noodles, tofu, vegetables, black fungus, etc.) and stand disorderly around the chef. Holding the bowl! Standing! Crowding! Until twenty or thirty minutes later, when their late-night snack is ready, they leave to find a seat and eat. During the wait, the guests all have expressionless faces, clearly displeased, and when a guest suggests improving the service model so that people don't have to stand and wait with their bowls, the only waiter's response is: This is how we've always done it. At this moment, you might think you're at a street food stall, not a Western restaurant in a luxury hotel priced at 1500+.
The above afternoon tea and late-night snack are included in the room package.
