The Ehu Meeting, attended by Southern Song Dynasty Neo-Confucianists Zhu Xi and Lu Jiuyuan, was a significant event in the history of Chinese Confucianism. To commemorate the Ehu Meeting, the "Four Sages Temple" was built behind the academy.
