[2025 Shenzhen Attraction] Travel Guide for Egongji Peak (Updated Mar)

Originally planned to take only one route, but ended up taking both. The scenery of the Shenzhen version of Qiandao Lake is really good, but you need aerial photography or professional photography to get good photos. There were basically no people on the Daguzhang route, but the scenery along the Daguzhang route is better than that of Yantian Mountain. There are more people climbing Yantian Mountain, which is relatively safer, and you can basically meet people along the way.

E'gongjian is located within the Yuanshan Scenic Area of Longgang District, with an altitude of 618 meters, known as Shenzhen's 'Little Zhangjiajie', featuring a narrow and long aerial plank walkway. The surrounding trees are lush, the rocky mountains are stacked, the streams are gurgling, you can gaze into the distance at Henggang, or reach for the stars nearby, making it a great light hiking and hot spring route. And the whole mountain climbing journey has few people, making photography really enjoyable, not too sunny, and there's also stream water, so it's quite cool, truly the most comfortable climb I've had this year. But be sure to go with others, as there are many forks along the way and few signs, so it's essential to have company. Avoid paths with many branches, as it indicates fewer people have walked there. 🌸The scenic area includes attractions like Miaojue Temple, Pagoda Forest, Dakang Valley, E'gongjian, Tiger Gully, Guandi Temple, Triple Waterfalls, and more... 🌸Kind reminder: There are shops and restrooms at the foot of the mountain, but no supplies during the climb or at the peak, so be sure to bring enough water, and there are trash bins along the way. 🌸While the scenery is beautiful, remember to stay safe💕

Yuan Mountain Scenic Area is part of the Wutong Mountain Range. The main peak of Yuan Mountain within the scenic area, which is 599 meters above sea level, is 1.58 kilometers away from another peak, Goose Gongji (618 meters above sea level), with the Dakang Valley and Tiger Gully lying between the two peaks. 👍Most recommended ✅Miaojue Temple: A place for prayers, housing the Mahavira Hall, the Hall of Manjusri Bodhisattva in Five Directions, the Hall of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and the Medicine Buddha Hall. ✅Tower Forest: A place for worshipping Buddha and commemorating the sages, it is a pilgrimage site for Buddhist believers. It is also the filming location for the show 'Balala the Fairies'. ✅Dakang Valley, Tiger Gully: Spanning 2.6 kilometers, it consists of several waterfalls. ✅One Line Sky, Goose Gongji: Essential spots to visit in the scenic area, and this location is particularly good for taking impressive photos. 📝Note tips Yuan Mountain is about 600 meters above sea level, and the entire route from the small shop at the foot of the mountain is made of stone steps, which requires a certain level of physical fitness. It is recommended to bring a walking stick and wear anti-slip hiking shoes. There are drink vending machines and small shops at the entrance of Miaojue Temple; there are also small shops and restrooms at the start of the climb at the foot of the mountain; there is also a small shop at the top of Goose Gongji. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the summit.
