Rhododendron Lake in Arxan has two unique features: one is the rhododendron flowers in spring, and the other is the stunning sunset in autumn. The altitude of Rhododendron Lake is not high, only 1244 meters. It is a dammed lake where you can walk along the waterside boardwalk to the lake shore. (When you see a gas station with half a tank of fuel along the way, fill up as there are not many gas stations) · ⚠️ Set your navigation to Chaihe in Arxan, you will pass by the ticket office of Arxan Forest Park. You don't need to buy a ticket, just go ahead and a staff member will come to register and ask where you are going. Just explain that you are going to Chaihe and you can drive into the scenic area. · The staff will ask you to sign a fire prevention and no unauthorized entry into the fee-based scenic area form, and then you will be allowed to pass. (Don't worry, going to Chaihe is a necessary route through the scenic area), then navigate to Budong River Viewing Platform (this is a free viewing platform). · Drive a few kilometers ahead, and the terrain features along the way are within the park.
