Chùa Hàng, officially called Chua Dư Hàng (literally Phúc Lâm Tự), is an ancient temple located in Hai Phong. The temple originally belonged to Du Hang Kênh village, **An Duong** district, but is now in Ho Nam commune, **Lê Chân** district, Hai Phong city. According to the inscription on the stele here, the temple was built during the reign of Emperor Le (980-1009).
It is said that during the last days of King Le Dai Hanh, a monk came here to preach and teach Buddhist doctrines. During the Tran Dynasty (1225-1400), there was a deep exchange with the monks of the Trúc Lâm Zen sect of Yên Tu Sơn, and because of this, Truong still has the tradition of celebrating the birthday (2nd day of the 11th lunar month) of the first monk of the Trúc Lâm Zen sect, known as King Trần Nhân Tông, and the anniversary of the third teacher, Venerable Huyen Quang Ly Dao Tai (3rd day of the 11th lunar month).
