Dream aquarium is located at the end of OCT mall, close to OCT subway station in Shenzhen. It costs 60RMB per person for entry and takes approximately 1-2 hours to see it all. It is a series of dimly lit rooms, lit up by UV lights and coloured LEDs, to create a truly surreal experience. I would recommend going here in the evening when it might be less busy as walking around here by yourself or with a few friends is very peaceful, relaxing and interesting. The main focus of the aquarium is on different species of jellyfish, in a variety of types of tanks, some rooms are full of long tube tanks with mirrors on the walls giving the effect that the rooms go on forever. They also have many species of fish, crabs, rays, some turtles and even some octopus, mostly small to medium sized. The highlight of the aquarium is a sea lion show, these shows run at various times throughout the day and take about 30 minutes, you can see the sea lions performing amazing acrobatic tricks and doing other funny things. The most breathtaking sight is the giant curved aquarium, where whale sharks and manta rays glide gracefully, their massive figures awe-inspiring. This aquarium in Shenzhen has been open for many years and is located on the second floor of Happy Coast Shopping Center in Nanshan District. Regarding ticket prices🎫, adults: normal ticket 70, night ticket 45; children: normal ticket 40, night ticket 25. The ticket price is relatively affordable, and the night show ticket is relatively worthwhile, but it feels like it’s too late and the fish have all gone off work hahaha, and the lights are rarely on and it’s very dim (but the photos will give a different feeling!). There are quite a lot of sights in the aquarium, but my favorite is the luminous jellyfish, which is super photogenic. There is a dreamy open-air roof in the middle of the walk.
