📝 Personal Thoughts
This is a place I always pass by whenever I visit Auckland. The white ferries coming and going in front of the terminal, with the city skyline in the background, create a strong "harbor city vibe." Especially in the morning or at sunset, the sunlight reflecting on the harbor makes it irresistible to take a few extra photos.
I personally recommend taking a ferry to Devonport from here. It’s just a 12-minute ride to a peaceful and charming little town, perfect for a half-day trip. If you have more time, you can also take a ferry to Waiheke Island for wine tasting or coastal walks.
Even if you don’t take a ferry, simply strolling around the terminal, watching the sea, and soaking in the bustling atmosphere is very enjoyable. There are also some cafés and ice cream shops nearby, which make the area even more delightful on a nice day.

⏱ Recommended Stay Time: If taking a ferry, plan to arrive 30–60 minutes early for boarding and photos; if not, a 15–30 minute walk around the area is quite pleasant.
🗓 Opening Hours: Ferries depart according to their respective schedules, so check tickets and timetables in advance.
📷 Photo Tip: Before boarding, stand at the edge of the terminal to capture the ferry with the city skyline in the background—it’s stunning!
