It is located in the waterfront area of ​​Auckland CBD and is also a ferry hub connecting Auckland city with the North Shore suburbs, West Auckland and South Auckland. It was written by Alex. Wiseman and completed in 1912. Along the way there are bright red lamp posts and iron gates as well as a large number of old British-style buildings. The white ferries coming and going in front of the terminal, with the city skyline in the background, create a strong "harbor city vibe." Especially in the morning or at sunset, the sunlight reflecting on the harbor makes it irresistible to take a few extra photos. I personally recommend taking a ferry to Devonport from here. It’s just a 12-minute ride to a peaceful and charming little town, perfect for a half-day trip. If you have more time, you can also take a ferry to Waiheke Island for wine tasting or coastal walks. Even if you don’t take a ferry, simply strolling around the terminal, watching the sea, and soaking in the bustling atmosphere is very enjoyable. When I first stepped into this Edwardian Baroque building, its golden exterior paired with the sleek, modern dock design gave me a sense of both history and style. Standing on the platform, with the sea breeze brushing against my face, I could see ferries ready to depart and the stunning harbor views in the distance. It’s a great spot for photography and leisurely walks. From here, you can take ferries operated by Fullers360, Explore, SeaLink, and more to destinations such as: • Devonport: A quick commuter ferry ride takes only about 12 minutes. • Bayswater / Birkenhead / Northcote Point: Ferries run approximately every 30 minutes daily. • Waiheke, Rangitoto, Great Barrier, and other islands: Popular choices for tourists.

Auckland is New Zealand’s capital city and its biggest population center, it has a long history of a hub and this is seen through the rapid and varied development of the CBD. Having escaped destruction from war or natural disasters the city offers buildings and districts from various eras in time, especially on the main Queen street. The main shopping street leads to the waterfront where you find the main railway and ferry terminals, both stunning buildings over 100 years old. Queen street itself is lined with beautiful art deco buildings that used to house the many department stores that dominated in their day. With the boom of the 1990s there has been various new landmarks added like the glass skyscrapers and of course the sky tower - Auckland’s main landmark. Be sure to check out the smaller side streets that span off the main shopping street as they have many coffee shops, charity shops and independent fashion stores.
